I have shopped at this store several times over the years to buy gifts.
For a male shopper, I recommend this store. I have found the staff normally to be very helpful in assisting me to find the right gift. The staff is attentive without being overbearing. They will let you browse for a while, but when you need assistance they are usually available for you unless you go at a very busy time.
I also like their selection of clothes. Everything seems to be very high quality, conservative, and understated. The gifts I have bought here have normally been well received.
They have different sections for different lady sizes, and since I normally need petite sizes for my gifts, I appreciate the fact that they have a large petite section that is separated from the other sections. This makes it easy to find the right item.
They are very good with gift wrapping and do a real nice job.
If you are looking for gifts for lady friends who like the style of clothes at Talbots, I recommend trying out this store.

I have been a long term Talbots customer for over 30 years. I recently bought a black top from the catalog that I did not like when I received it. When I went to return it, I noticed that the receipt had a 90 day return policy. Since the receipt did not say return or exchange, I thought I could exchange it for something I liked. Well guess what??? No way, I am stuck with a $ 60 sweater that I don’t like, GOOD BYE TALBOTS… AFTER 30 years, I am finding another store who appreciates my business. So shopper beware… Return and exchange means the same thing at Talbots.

This location is more «old Talbots.» The shoppers are mostly blue haired ladies with painted on eyebrows and pearl earrings the size of grapes, and the store employees are all over the age of 50. But if you need true corporate/​business attire, Talbots is the place to go. The suits and separates are called «classics» for a reason: they never go out of style. Every piece is incredibly well made, and usually from natural fibers. Lined jackets, pants, and skirts here are the norm instead of the exception like at other similar places (*cough Ann Taylor cough*). There are some true old lady pieces here, but this is a giant store, so you’ll find more than a few items to add to your own classic but youthful collection. Four stars for the clothing.
However, zero stars for the service at this location. I understand I don’t fit your target demographic at first glance, but could I at least get some non-​judgmental help from a store associate? Geez! Two visits in two days, dropping more than a little cash, and I couldn’t find someone to help me without a serious ‘tude. Yikes.
Averaged together for two stars. Guess it’s back to online shopping for me.
