Came in early on a Saturday night, around 6 and was seated immediately. Greg, the bartender, served up some incredible drinks. We had the fettuccine alfredo with the grilled chicken strips and the alfredo sauce was delicious and the grilled salmon, cooked to perfection. The waitress was very attentive and checked in on us frequently, but not too much.

Our book club has gone to Spagnas about 10 times for birthday celebrations The service is always good. We especially like how they are willing to split of the birthday girl among the entire party. Our last birthday dinner will probably be the last. The price of wine increased by about 25%. We brought a cake and were charged a $ 13 cutting fee.($ 1.67 times 8 people). The pepperoni rolls were deep fried. The vegetable spaghetti was bland. All in all, the experience left us all with a bad taste.

First time here was perfect. We brought our toddler and were able to keep him corralled pretty easy. The food was wonderful and our waitress had a wonderful sense of timing. Good sized portions. Me and my husband ordered the calamari, spaghetti with meatballs, lobster Mac and cheese, coffee crumb cheesecake, and tieramasu. We had a lot of leftovers and they were great the next day. Including a generous tip, it was $ 80. We will definitely be going back.

Great experience. Came with a large(16) crowd and they were extremely accommodating. Food was excellent and service was great — a little slow but we were a large group. The linguine w clams was awesome — perfect portion of pasta, not too much at all. The bread is hot out of the oven and delish. Very good bolognese. This is a great place to bring a group or just come for a date. Thumbs up!

We’ve been here several times when we visit my mother-in-law in Marietta. First off, the patio is fantastic. Sit out there if you can! Cocktails are good and strong. The wine(a Riesling) tasted like it’d been opened and just sitting around for a long while. Unimpressive draft beer list, but I guess you can’t expect an Italian restaurant to be chock full o’ tap beer. I’ve had the whole wheat pasta with meatballs, salads, fish specials, lasagna and much more. I think the only thing that wasn’t delicious was the flatbread pizza. No more flatbread — anywhere. It’s always underwhelming. The calamari and toasted breadsticks with marinara sauce are both amazing apps! You can’t go wrong.

Based on the Unilocal reviews and a local acquaintance’s recommendation, we decided to try Spagna’s. I was really disappointed. We first ordered the mussels in marsala sauce which were huge and done well. The sauce was just good. I ordered the Veal parmesan with linguine and could not finish the veal. It was dry and tasteless. The pasta was done well. HIS salmon was a better choice and he was quite happy with that entrée. We also ordered dirty martinis which were okay. All in all an average, disappointing experience. Maybe I should rate this a two star.

This place was a great little«home-made» italian place. The litte waiver they put in the corner of the menu saying it takes a while bc everything is made fresh to order is a great start. Started with the shrimp cocktail, it was grilled so not cold like you would think, but delicious. 4 big shrimpys come with a meal. Me and my lady got two classics, veal parmigiana and lasagna. Both were completey classic and absolutey wonderful. Recommended to anybody who likes classic italian eatin’.

REALLY enjoyed this quaint mom and pop Italian restaurant!!! The shrimp cocktail was served grilled(warm) which was different, but we loved it! The dinners all sounded delicious and it was difficult to decide, but I ordered the homemade lasagna and it was SO good! Definitely homemade, tons of meat sauce and very flavorful! Each dinner comes with warm bread and a salad(really just iceberg lettuce) too. You will NOT leave hungry(and with to-go boxes). I loved this place and I definitely suggest sitting on the patio. Very cute!

This restaurant, in a lovely old brick building from the 19th Century, features Italian cuisine. It has an attractive 19th Century interior dining room and a large patio for dining al fresco. The restaurant has a large parking lot just beyond the patio, successfully screened by plants. Service was friendly and professional. Someone has invested wisely in staff training. As expected the menu was Italian; the wine list had a good selection. The food was good and properly prepared and presented. I give special praise to the calamari and bruschetta. This was a restaurant I would have gladly given four stars. I save five stars for places like Chez Panisse, etc. My complaint: the day before I made a reservation for 6:30 p.m. for six to celebrate my brother’s birthday. I realized we were going to be ten minutes late, so I phoned them at 6:20 and told them of this and was assured it would be alright. We arrived 6:39 and learned another party of six had arrived and been seated, the host assuming it was my party. The host hadn’t asked the name of the other group. With apologies we were seated on the patio(I had wanted to be inside, but now there was no room) and thereafter every thing was OK. Still, I was annoyed.

Good service. My wife received meat sauce on her eggplant. The manager was sincere and it was resolved. Good. Food. Great desert and beer selection. We will be back.

After a recommendation from a friend of favorite places to eat in Marietta, my husband and I dined here last evening. There were many other places that had higher ratings, but we decided to go with Spagna’s. Our server, Ashley, gave us just the right amount of attention. She was helpful with our questions, and brought us more bread when we requested some to help soak up the wonderful marinara sauce that came with the mussels appetizer. Great sauce! I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan and my husband ordered one of the specials– the monk fish entrée. Both were very good. We hadn’t had monk fish in many years & were very pleased that it was offered. Salads were included, with dressing on the side. The atmosphere was nice, neither stuffy or too casual. After reading other somewhat negative reviews, I was surprised because there was nothing really for us to complain about. We had a very nice evening at Spagna’s.

The food was pretty good. It took almost an hour after getting our salad for them to bring out our actual dinner and we were the only ones in the restaurant. The food itself was good and you got complimentary bread. Overall, I’d go back again.

This is an excellent Italian restaurant. You’ll spend more than you would at your local Olive Garden but it is well worth the extra price. It was late so we shared an appetizer and a plate of baked manicotti and it was more than enough. The service was equally as good.

We were very split on this review. One 5 one 3.5 and two 2s. The food was a bit slow, but the server was excellent. The lasagna was so greasy it was inedible. The meatball calzone was quite good, as was the manicotti in Alfredo sauce. But the chicken Alfredo was worse than at Applebee’s. Too bad because it is in such a beautiful old building.

Resto is in a historic building in Harmar district, patio and courtyard area are nice, inside is ok. Service is serviceable enough(ouch), though empty tables are sometimes left with dirty dishes and cleaner spray bottles for long stretches. Food average to average-plus. Have had the Braciole a few times, it has ranged from really quite good to chewy, questionably unspoilt, and very forgettable. Veal parm is good and enormous. House marinara in general is bueno. Portions of everything are huge. Pizza meh. Wine list is fine. Bread is decent enough, though served with butter not olive oil, which would get you shot in an actual Italian restaurant. Nothing too adventurous here, but for standard Italiano, you could do worse.

Coming from a city that is great for the foodie, I give certain allowances to restaurants in small towns. There weren’t many reviews on Spagna, but since people said the food was decent and it was close to our hotel, we gave it a shot. As soon as we walked in, we were immediately an inconvenience since we had no reservation. It didn’t seem like an issue in a half empty restaurant, but ok. Then, we received our menus and reviewed to see what sounded good for the adults and the child at the table. The bottom of the menu states«ask your server about the kids menu». When we did just that, we were told there is no kids menu, but there are child size portions of some items… Ok, great. We placed our orders and the food came out just fine. We had stuffed mushrooms(qty 4) and the combo plate(2 cheese ravioli, 1 sausage, 1 meatball). The food came out and was average, nothing spectacular. The entire menu was overpriced based on locale, quality and quantity. Our waitress never came back after the food came out. We sat for over a half hour with finished plates and an antsy toddler until I finally got up and asked someone to get us our check. Only after this did our waitress come back to say that she had not forgotten about us… Even though she actually had. The service here looks to be fine if you are a local and a regular, but if you are visiting Marietta and trying to check out somewhere new, save your cash and go somewhere that doesn’t act like you owe them something.

I’ve been here several times. This is my wifes favorite place to eat in the area. She always gets the same thing dish — Manicotti. She loves it. I am a little more adventurous when it comes to food and I try not to eat the same thing when I go here. Out latest visit on 4÷11÷13, I got the Diablo dish suggested by a previous review. I will have to say that it was great. Highly recommend that if you like seafood. In the past I have gotten the lasagna a few times. MOST times it still cold on the inside, which I never really understood. How am I expect to pay $ 14 a good size of frozen(still cold in the middle) piece of lasagna. It’s VERY good when it’s warm all the way through. The service is decent but sometimes shaky with drinks and being around when you need them. I will return but not to get cold/frozen lasagna.

Spagna’s is a charming restaurant on Marietta’s west side. I have eaten here before and plan to do so again in the future. If not for the chicken«Marsala» this may have been a 4 – 5 star review. The service was fine. No complaints but nothing to rave about. My dish arrived quickly and I was pleased with the amount of food. However, I knew there was a problem as soon as I smelled it. It smelled delicious but not at all like marsala… it smelled like Chinese food. Instead of the rich wine sauce I expected, I found my dish to be covered in a bland sauce that somehow managed to be both syrupy and oily, a combination I’ve never encountered in a marsala sauce. The mushrooms were rubbery and very obviously came from a can, which would have made me weep had the sauce been delicious but at that point I pretty apathetic. My friend had a penne dish with beef and let me know it was delicious though didn’t have much beef. Additionally, my dessert was yummy. It was almost as if the chicken marsala had been brought in from a different restaurant solely to make me believe they served subpar food. Fortunately, I have had delcious food there before and will likely enjoy meals here in the future. Next time I eat there I’ll likely edit this review.

My in laws are in town and we were looking for a good place to take them for dinner. My husband and I live in Marietta and had never been to spagna’s so we thought we would try it out. We had a reservation at six but arrived at about five thirty to have a drink at the bar. Spagna’s is the only restaurant in town that has peroni on tap. We were seated at six out on the patio in a nice shady spot which was nice because it was about 80 degrees out. Service was friendly and quick we did not have to wait for anything and our glasses never ran dry. We were all very happy with our meals and the prices were very reasonable. We will def go back for dinner again

On Marietta’s west side, just across the Muskingum River in Historic Harmar, is Spagna’s. My host took me to dinner here last week and we had a marvelous time. I love being inside historical buildings, especially when the restorations have been done well. There’s also an outdoor patio which wasn’t an option on this cold March evening. Both of us enjoyed the«Diablo» dish — a large bowl of shrimp, scallops, and spicy red sauce on a bed of pasta. All of that was washed down with a very nice red from Chile. For the last«Dolce» course, we split a most excellent homemade cannoli with chocolate accents. The service was also friendly, prompt and helpful. I wandered back to the Lafayette hotel full, happy, and itching for a long outdoor walk or a indoor work out.
