Hibachi is ok(hard to mess that up). Sushi is pretty bad. Much better places around. Save your time and go to Thaicoon on the square or even kuroshios in kennesaw. Only way to really enjoy it is to drench it in the yum yum sauce. Disappointed every time I’ve been.

This is my 1st time here, but multiple times for family members. This an open dining room, smallish like a diner, yet they do have 2 semi-private(walled) booths for families. It is the typical Asian American theme. Our service was excellent. Tim was Johnny on the spot with all aspects of the meal. He made several suggestions and we started off with the crab-stuff mushroom appetizer. He warned it was spicy, it was, and I loved it. I had the Hibachi steak(medium rare) and scallop with white rice & veggies. Very nice flavor, not over done, and cooked correctly. All 4 of the meals were very good, and to re-hash, not over-seasoned for the sake of it. I will go back again and must try their sushi bar as everything looked excellent.

Probably some of the best sushi and hibachi in town. Their Crispy Crab Roll is to die for. Dine in gives the option to sit and watch the Sushi Chef’s do their thing. If you are in the area it is definitely worth a try.

Download the Okinawa app! I didn’t do it for awhile now and regret it. It is very generous. You get a free appetizer for joining. There is a separate meal punch card for lunch and for dinner, 9 for lunch and 6 for dinner earns a free meal. And everyone at the table with a phone can do it; one per person not check! Great for me since we done here regularly.

Yuk. 1. It took FOREVER to get a drink 1a. The waiter would probably be happier playing video games and smoking whatever than serving food. 2 The seaweed salad is super stringy, overly chewy and not fresh. And I LOOOOOVE seaweed salad. 3. The spring rolls were ok 4. The sushi rolls we had were not good. They weren’t smelly… just meh. Took one or two bites of each(we ordered 3) and was over it. 5. Anyone who voted this place over 2 stars does not eat sushi or eats sushi at a drivethru gas station. Verdict: Don’t waste your time. Just go to Teds across the street and get your burger on.

Great hibachi! Sushi is on point too! They have good prices as well. You don’t have to pay the premium«cook in front of you» Japanese prices, but the great taste is still there. It’s absolutely one of my favorite places to eat, It’s a must!

This is our go to for sushi, and the hibachi meals! Love the scallops and shrimp, shrimp fried rice, chicken fried rice and of course the sushi is good as well.

My daughter had the sushi, which was good. I had orange chicken and vegetables, very obviously frozen food that was reheated. Also had the edamame, soggy and gross. Very disappointing.

This review is based strictly on the Hibachi aspect as I don’t eat Sushi. So as far as the Hibachi and dinners go it is awesome! Don’t expect to sit down and have a hibachi chef at a flat top grill perform for you. They cook all the meals back in the kitchen which means you get the great hibachi taste at a lower cost. I always either get the filet, chicken & shrimp or the chicken fried rice if I’m not as hungry. Everything is always cooked perfectly and the service is always good.

Sick all weekend after eating their sushi. I would avoid any uncooked food here.

I’ve eaten sushi in many different states and cities. Unfortunately this one is a contender for being the worst. I did not try the hibachi and can only speak about the sushi. The tuna was fishy, everything was served at room temperature, the pieces and portions were very small. Rolls were poorly formed and overall taste for everything was disapponiting. I will not be coming back nor recommending this place to anyone.

Hibachi dishes are excellent. Don’t eat sushi so I can’t comment. Service is sometimes a bit slow but for the food Im willing to put up with it.

Do not order take out. Quality and portions are beyond lacking from what you get if you actually dine in. I don’t know how you can charge patrons the same(high!) price for a meal when you won’t give them the soup or salad that is included when you dine in. I paid almost $ 14 for a tiny scoop of chicken, 4 pieces of shrimp, and a serving of rice and veggies meant for a child. It tasted great but until either the to-go pricing changes or their policy about not giving soup or salad does, I’ll go somewhere else for take out.

I have eaten here a handful of times and have been please with the food. However there is a nail salon next door and the past 2 times I visited there was a strong smell of acetone. The smell was so strong I did not enjoy my meal and got my food to go.

I truly love the food at Okinawa, but there are some issues that should be addressed. Once they are, they will get 5 stars from me. The main issue is the watery salad. The salad itself is delicious, even though it is mostly thick chunks of spiny iceberg, cucumber, and shredded carrot, but I love the white sauce as my dressing and the salad becomes special… except for the water in the bottom of the bowl. It dilutes the dressing and the whole thing becomes a drippy mess. The flavor you start with becomes watered down and frustrating. As you struggle to eat the large, drippy chunks of lettuce, no knife, it is a mess. I have learned to ask for my salad to be well drained, and sometimes it is, but not always. As many times as I have mentioned this, I thought they would address the issue in general. Aside from the issues with the salad, I love the food and will keep returning. By having the hibachi food without the show, the prices are lower with the feel of a special meal.

One night each week my wife takes my daughter to violin lessons and I get to treat myself to some of the best sushi outside of the perimeter! These wonderful chefs and attentive staff make it well worth the slightly higher prices. When you order any Nigiri on the menu, you get a nice, thick, fresh and generous portion. This is no cheap, $ 2 piece of razor thin pale pink tuna or scrawny bland eel on a big chunk of rice like you get at virtually every other lower quality sushi place. At Okinawa you get a real portion, expertly prepared and served promptly with a smile. Yes, you will pay a little more. But if you really know what good sushi and sashimi is, you will realize this is the place to get it.

Definitely one of our top hibachi restaurants to go to in Atlanta… especially if you don’t want the hassle of having to sit next to strangers and watch a cooking performance. Sometimes you just want ridiculously good food. The chicken fried rice is easily the best I have had and topped with some yum yum sauce, it’s complete. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for those on a diet, unless you like sushi(which we don’t eat here, so I didn’t include it in my review). Be prepared to leave stuffed with a to-go bag!

First, we always see a lot of cars here, so many must really like it and I do think it’s worth giving a try if you’re in the area. It’s not the typical hibachi style seating here. You and your party will have your own table – not a group table with strangers – which I like. The cooks are in the kitchen, so you don’t have a private chef cooking in front of you at the table as is the case at most hibachi restaurants. We felt the food was decent to good, but not the best hibachi we’ve had. Also, they don’t have lobster which is the first I’ve seen for a hibachi place. But they do have some Thai and Chinese classics on their menu. I think we will give them another try and get takeout from here sometimes.

Ate herE last night with my little sister and fiancé. Generous portions. I got the teryaki chicken & Filet mignon @ $ 14.95 with rice. YUMMY. Will definitely come again. Great customer service, quick turnaround time for the food to come, and the food was great :)
