I purchased a Groupon for a 90 minute massage, and a full body scrub/​polish. It was hard as heck to find because it’s tucked in the back inside of Red Barn looking building with a very small sign. The place is really small and cramped. It’s two businesses in one but they share a 4 foot counter space. I’ve never had a massage in place like this. The massage table is rigged with a face cushion made from a neck horseshoe wrapped in a pillowcase. It moves so you have to keep re-​positioning it. The place just didn’t look clean to me, even though it might have been clean.
The room was so small I couldn’t imagine the masseuse walking around the table to do her job. I had to put my personal belongings on the floor because there was no chair or table for me.
One thing I don’t appreciate is hearing your personal business while I’m trying to relax and enjoy my massage. I don’t care about your divorce, your kids, etc. The only questions I need to know is if there is too much or too little pressure, etc. By the way I’m a guy so maybe that’s what prompted the personal information. I was also told that I shouldn’t be a Vegan for my blood type, I should be a vegetarian instead. I don’t eat animal products no matter what my blood type. Thank You!!!
The massage and body scrub was good but I’ll never go back. It’s just too cramped up with very little room to move around.
Be wary of Groupon for massages and always read the reviews first. This place didn’t even have a review even though she said she’d been doing this for 23 years. Interesting.
