We have been here a few times and liked it. Last night the whole meal was off. First the garlic rolls seemed different. the actual roll and the garlic sauce were not good. Then the lasagna also did not taste as good as before. hopefully just a bad night.

Under NEW(POOR) Management. Go to the Frankies on Canton Highway instead, different owners and better quality!

First time eating here but pretty solid joint for neighborhood Italian food. I feel like I’ve exhausted all the local options & then finally went here & was very surprised. Not mind blowing dishes but one of those way too buttery garlic rolls & salads with good entrée well seasoned. When I want home style Italian this is my place.

I am quite an adventurous eater and usually will eat anything, but my entrée was just not something I was feeling. The prosciutto tortellini dish with peas was once again okay but the tortellini was obviously at one point frozen and the many bites of prosciutto made certain bites extremely salty. Don’t think I’d like to come back except for a simple sub. The well-known rolls were somewhat alright aside from the pool of butter at the bottom of the bowl they give you. My Caesar salad was just drenched in dressing, but I’m sure that if you ask them to go light on the dressing it would turn out great. Not impressed. Great wait staff and everyone was extremely friendly, but the food was just definitely not something I’d want to come back to.

Love this place! Stromboli, spaghetti and fettuccine Alfredo are family favorites. Salad is great and the rolls are delicious. We’ve been tens of dozens of times now and rarely anything less than excellent service or food. Pricing is always reasonable and house wines are good. When it’s time for dessert, try the chocolate cake.

There’s a reason they’ve been here forever. There is absolutely no better Italian restaurant in Atlanta. Period. Family owned and run, so they care about the quality of the food and give five star service. Anyone who is such a malcontent to give Frankie’s less than 4 stars has obviously a troll from the crappy competition.

Start with the family salad. It comes with garlic roles which are fabulous. Try the mussels as an appetizer. The pasta dishes are great as well as the pizza.

Service has been fine for my 4 visits over the last yearish. Rolls are good. I prefer the entrees to the pizza. Pizza crust is tasteless and toppings are bland. The green peppers tasted like nothing. Overall so-so experience each time.

My daughter wanted to come for lunch while we were in the area. I was looking forward to dining here because of the recent reviews. The ambiance and service were very family friendly; however my food was disappointing. The cheese and sauce from my stuffed shells tasted very processed, certainly not made from scratch or frozen. More like it came straight out of a can. The salad was subpar and the garlic rolls lacked flavor. I would give this restaurant a 3 for presentation and service(look at my pictures, the food looks much better than it tasted) and a 1 ½ for the overall taste and quality of the food. Lots of people seem to like it, maybe we dined on an off day/time. You be the judge.

Below average Italian food… The pizza isn’t bad. They have a «full» bar, but didn’t have a lot of options at all.

Frankie’s, what to say about Frankie’s. It’s sooooo good! Everything we ordered was fantastic, the garlic rolls are soft and tasty! And a good tip is that they deliver! Grub Hub has the full menu.

Stopped in for the first time looking for a tasty Italian style salad with a robust Italian dressing. Stepped up to the cozy little bar and decided to order a Bloody Mary while waiting– truth be told it was the worst I have EVER had — should’ve known as they weren’t sure if they had mix. The salad– let me just say I would have saved money and enjoyed it better if I would have just stopped at Kroger and picked up a bottle of my favorite dressing to go with it. The salad had mushrooms :(and definitely was not freshly prepared. BIG disappointment!!! I figure if they can’t make a fresh salad or cocktail– the rest is probably going to be less than impressive. Will never go back

We decided to come for lunch with coworkers. This restaurant is located off of Canton Road. The interior was very dark and not well lit at all, maybe kept this way so you can’t really see the food well. I had the baked ziti lunch special and it was alright, nothing special. The bread was soaked in oil and garlic. Everything was kind of sloppy in my opinion from the food to the service.

Came here last week with my girl to enjoy some good Italian food. It’s been years since I frequented this place so decided to see what the buzz was about. Came in and got seated instantly. The environment was nice, quiet, clean. Nothing fancy however it felt homey. Food: We ordered the Sausage + pepper pasta and my love ordered the pesto pasta. The garlic bread that came with it was AMAZING. We are two baskets worth and even decided to take them home. The pasta dishes were fresh, large in size, and cooked perfectly. This place one-ups any olive garden chain. Prices were very reasonable. Our server, Sunny, is the reason I went from 4 up to 5 stars. I’ve done customer service for 10+ years and I have never felt so accommodated in any restaurant. He was always topping our waters, coming back at intervals to check in, and you can clearly tell his passion was to make sure our dinner was perfect. When asking for the to-go boxes, he packaged them for us. While watching him do so, he meticulously wiped excess sauce off the box, put extra napkins, and placed a new box of fresh rolls in. The reason I’m detailing this little stuff is because this is a KEY example of how to get guys like me(who can choose from 10+ Italian places), to come back to Frankies. Needless to say, I took very good care of him for his great service! The overall experience was fantastic, will def be back!

Best Italian in west Cobb! I hope they keep the same cooks for as long as possible, because the food here is consistently excellent. We order their veal Sicilian, veal parm, chicken parm, pizza, and calamari. The food here is always TASTY and not bland and crying for seasoning like some other restaurants. It’s delicious every time – as you would expect if you’re going out and paying for food. Their prices are very reasonable and for the quality it’s worth the extra drive out of the way to me. [Btw, Beware of fake owner planted reviews for some OTHER West Cobb Italian restaurants(V…‘s), I’ve busted V’s overzealous owners myself for a few that they clearly posted. Can’t stand when business owners do that sort of thing.]

Reminds me of the local Italian food back home in Upstate NY. I have been here 5 or 6 times, so typically I enjoy my dinner. Yes, the elixir of buttery garlic sauce over the buns is enough to make a girl swoon.(Hey, don’t judge me.) Tried the Rigatoni, chicken, and broccoli tonight. They were very accommodating, by honoring my request for extra garlic to be added to the dish.(Gotta keep the vampires away…) The dish was good, but the sauce of garlic, butter, etc, needed a little«oomph» of olive oil for thickness and taste.

Absolutely my favorite Italian restaurant. I come here often, and every year for my birthday. The staff is very courteous and friendly, and remember faces well. They’re quick and rarely get the orders wrong. The food is great, too. Reasonably priced for good food and lots of options. The atmosphere is very cozy, too, a great place for dates. Casual dress but classic feel to the place. I definitely recommend it!

You seriously can not go wrong with this place. There is so much variety on the menu that you could eat here every day for a month and not get tired of it. The food is amazing and the portions are generous. I love being able to make two meals out of one. Service is great as well! This Frankie’s has been opened over 20 years which should tell you that they are doing something(everything, if you ask me) right! They even offer delivery now which is super convenient when my family and I don’t feel like going out. There is no such thing as a perfect restaurant, but in my book Frankie’s comes pretty close. I’ve never had a bad experience there. They even make their own salad dressing which is the best italian dressing I have ever had. I’m not much of a salad person but I definitely love taking advantage of their endless salad that comes with almost all of their dinners.(It’s even worth paying extra for if it doesn’t.) And please don’t get me started on the garlic rolls. If you haven’t dined here, you are missing out!

Just left Frankie’s and I am so sad to say I will not return. The place has such an old time charm(good date charm), but their food has changed and NOT for the better. My wife and I use to visit this establishment when we were dating quite a bit… But something has gone terribly wrong. We spent the dinner trying to analyze the food. We are under the impression that some management had to change or the owner just doesn’t care anymore! Let’s start with the sauce! Over spiced and from a can sauce!!! The only thing I could say about it was YUCK, need a mint and have to brush my teeth! As for the cheese I feel my wife said it best… It looked like the cheese for one of those cheap pizzas you buy from the frozen foods section at the grocery store and not the name brand ones! The cheese had a hard time melting together and was so very chewy. I am so very upset writing this review as Frankie’s was my go to place for pizza! If you work for Frankie’s I want answers!!! How have you let things get so bad? You have few customers in on a Friday night! Wake up and change back to your old ingredients and your customers will return. Let me tell you the good… My waitress and the garlic rolls… That is it so management correct now before you do not have the opportunity to do so! So disappointed!
