Dr. Warren is THEBEST in the business! I’ve been under a dermatologist’s care for 16 years and I have yet to find one that meets my expectations… that is, until I saw Dr. Warren two weeks ago! My skin is already improving and I could not be happier with her care. Finally found«the one»!! I can’t wait for my follow up appointment :)) Her Acworth office is beautiful and the staff is courteous and seems to really care about me. Love Love Love! It’s really sad to see these negative comments regarding Dr. Warren when the patients are really upset with Family Dermatology, not Dr. Warren. I, too, have been a patient of Family Dermatology and that place is a joke.

I have seen Dr. Warren a couple of times– no real issues with her ability to practice medicine or «bedside“manner, I found her to be professional and I trust her with my medical condition(I am a skin cancer survivor so take my dermatology appts seriously). ONTHEOTHERHAND– I have found the practice at Family Dermatology to be less than satisfactory. First– whenever I call, I get placed on hold: maybe they are busy but, on several occasions when I have been sitting in the lobby, I have seen the receptionist answer the phone, immediately put the caller on hold– and then sit for 20 – 30 seconds doing NOTHING and then take the caller off of hold. Please Paula Nelson M.D.(owner of Family Dermatology) — No Games with the patients! As mentioned in the other posts, the practice likes to nickel-and-dime the patients on various expenses. Dr Nelson also owns the pathology clinic that examines all of the biopsies– could that be a conflict of interest? Oh yes– and the office staff could use some politeness lessons as well. For Dr. Warren– 3 Stars. Maybe her defensiveness listed above is due to hearing constant complaints about the office staff. For Family Dermatology(owner of the practice) — ZERO Stars. If they weren’t so close to home and work(and have my records for nearly 10 years) I would go elsewhere.

WHATEVERYOUDO, DONOTGOHERE!!! I went in for a abnormal looking mole and though Dr Warren initially was nice, my proceding experience was anything but great. I didn’t leave a work phone number because I don’t have any privacy where I work. I called initially to make the appointment with a colleague’s phone(his office is private) and lo and behold, they call me back later(after my first appointment there where they shaved off the mole) with my biopsy results on his phone, and get this: leave a message for me on it! There was no private info left on the voicemail, but I don’t want people all up in my business, especially at work! Anyway, call them back and ask what happened. Of course they deny everything and claim that I put the number in there myself on my chart. First of all, I don’t even know what my colleague’s number is, secondly, I KNOW I left it blank because of the aforementioned lack of privacy where I work. Then I speak to her(apparently a physician’s assistant) about the biopsy. I asked, «So did you actually find something bad in the biopsy?». This heffer then says in a really rude manner, «I never said cancer, those words never came out of my mouth!». You jerk, I never said cancer either! Anyway, I made an appointment. Called back to speak to Dr Warren. A week later she deigns to return my call. I tell her all of the above. She proceeds to completely skirt the issue and tries to make me out to be a liar. She told me I could go back and see the paperwork that shows I wrote down the work number they call because«we don’t call any number that’s not on your chart.» I went back, asked for my pathology report. The receptionist told me that they can’t give it to me without the dr’s permission and it’s a fee of $ 10. Well after I told her Dr Warren told me to come in for it, miraculously I got it, and for free. Then I asked to see my chart. This lady first says they don’t keep them, then says that they scan then in but it takes a while. Basically she was lying to me. I cancelled my appointment and am going elsewhere. DON’T GOHERE, WHATEVERYOUDO!!!

I had a very sour experience with this doctor. I went for a total body scan, as I have a history of skin cancer in my family. She came across as arrogant and with the personality of a benign cyst; plus she did not even do the total check — only concentrating on a few spots of concern and then immediately claiming they were pre-cancerous and suggesting immediate biopsies. I abruptly left and intend to get a second opinion(I have been told these are just age-related spots that can be corrected cosmetically — also, one of them just turned out to be a gross zit). Also, the office is dark, small and cluttered. Although some of the other doctors at this doc-in-a-box practice may be fine, I will not be going back.
