Went for a quick lunch and never been in a bad C D’s. Doing heavy advertising on their $ 5.00 lunch so I was ready. Place order only to hear, we don’t have hush puppies, oh n we are out of this n that. I told them with everything you don’t have my $ 5.00 meal should be $ 1.99. I just left which they could care less. Next time I’ll head to the one on 92 in Woodstock.

Not impressed with the updates. They re-​modeled the restaurant and it looks cleaner. The food is not as good. I ordered chicken tenders and cheese sticks as add-​ons to my three piece fish dinner. The chicken and cheese sticks were hot but nothing more that frozen items that had been fried. The fish was not piping hot which was not a problem with past visits. Fries were not hot either. If you’re going to give me hot chicken and hot cheese sticks, be sure my entire order is hot.

I had never experienced a Captain D’s Seafood before. Bottom line: the food is actually not bad for a fast food seafood restaurant. We were the only ones under 60 in the dining room; okay, this may have been because we went on a day with Senior specials. The drive-​thru line was constantly busy, and I think that’s the biggest take away from this: if you’re feeling like fast food seafood, this place compares to a Long John Silver’s, and the drive-​thru is the way to go. (There’s no soda fountain in the seating area for easy refills, anyway.)
Coupons are abundant in the weekly mailers.

I’d have to say that these folks (the chain/​franchise) make the best tasting fast food fish sandwich. The fries are also very good.
