Damn good! Best chili dogs I’ve ever had. Must get them«all the way»(with slaw) — YUMMY! Onion Rings and fries are great too! Fun place!

I grew up right down the street from this place. In the beginning, it was called The Marble Inn. They were there for a good 20 years. They sold it and the next owner called it Betty’s. Betty’s was around for a good 15 years or more. Betty sold it to Brandi. No one EVER changed the menu. There was no need to. Their food is as good today as it was 40 years ago. I love this place. One of the commenters was right, you need to have patience because this place is packed. If you wait to get in, it will be worth your wait, I promise!

Visited this spot for the first time today. All I can say is don’t believe the hype. Had the infamous spicy hot dog, cheese burger, fries and Coke. One of the worst meals I ever had. I wouldn’t feed it to a dog. The chili was not beefy at all. Reminded me of meat from Taco Bell. The chili is what’s spicy and not the frank.

I’m not from the area, but I get a strong sense that this hole-in-the-wall hot dog joint is one of the go-to lunch spots for locals. I went on a Tuesday around 1pm and the place was packed. I grabbed the last open seat at the counter and ordered a chili dog, onion rings, and diet coke(bonus points for crushed ice!). Everything was delicious, so much so that I got a chili burger and fried apple pie for the road. Had to wait 5 – 10 minutes for my food, but didn’t mind because I was entertained by a group of coworkers watching one of their buddies scarf down 10 chili slaw dogs(apparently the record is 17)! A friendly warning: the hot dogs are hot(as in spicy) and the chili has a bit of a kick, so this may not be your cup of tea if you don’t enjoy spicy food. Also, it is cash only, but the prices are very reasonable, so bring $ 5 – 10 and you’ll be good to go.

I have always thought the chili here was a little too hot. Today I realized I just wasn’t eating them right. Chili slaw dog with mustard and onions is the way to go. The slaw is the perfect anecdote for the heat. It always makes me happy to get fries fresh from the fryer. Chili-slaw dog and fries, $ 3.80 lunch… even happier.

Brandi’s is a unique place. You feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Apparently the place has been here for over 40years and the regulars there live to talk about the food and its history here in Kennesaw. Friendly folks and the hot dogs are great. They come with chili, mustard and onions. I’ll be back next week to try the fries and onion rings and maybe a burger. They only take cash so don’t brig your credit cards. I made that mistake.

Brandi’s is Marietta’s best kept(dining) secret. For a place that sells only hotdogs, hamburgers, fries, and onion rings. they do it right! They gain enough revenue to only be open for lunch during the weekdays, which tells you something. However, this means that I pretty much never get to enjoy their famous chili slaw dogs, but I was in luck because I was in the area for business last week. Score!!! I walked in and was greeted kindly and sat down wherever I wanted(best seats are at the«bar» where you get to see all the action). One of the sweet ladies quickly took my order and within a few minutes, the most glorious lunch I could have possibly wanted was before me. I boasted about these hot dogs so much, that I ordered six to-go to bring home to share with my friends. The ladies here were kind enough to pack each component of the chili slaw dogs individually so that the buns wouldn’t get soggy during the long transit back. They even put everything in a small box so carrying everything was a breeze. When the prices are cheap, the food is BOMB, and you see local regulars hitting up a spot, that’s where you need to be. THISISWHEREYOUNEEDTOBE! Trust me! Tip: Avoid the prime lunch time(11:30−12:30), if possible. The building is small and doesn’t seat very many people and the gravel parking areas fill up quickly. FYI, it’s cash only!

Fantastic. I’m not sure what it is but the flavor is just incredible. It’s kind of spicy, very pink meat. Amazing. I’ll be back. The only thing is finding parking is pretty bad, and it’s cash only.

Again, a great experience at Brandi’s Hot Dogs. They’re simply the best hot dogs in Atlanta.

I’ve been a regular since my first visit 8 years ago and I’m not even a big fan of hot dogs. A chili dog here with or without slaw cannot be beat. If I go more than a week I start to crave a visit. If you don’t like spicy, ask for your chili dog to be «drained.» Sweet tea(only). All drinks served with perfect crushed ice. Service is great. Parking is sparse(do not park at child care next door or you will be towed). Cash only. Counter service and about five small tables. Brandi’s is a little gem and rare find.

Had my order to go. Not a big fan. I gave it two stars because of its reasonable prices but the chili, although it has a nice spicy kick to it, its too chunky for my liking. The first time I ate here I ordered the cheeseburger and chili cheese fries, unbeknownst to me, chili was on the burger… I’ve never had it made that way and will probably go back and have that again one day. I also ordered chili cheese fries that was served in a giant Styrofoam cup and it had beans in it and I just never had it that way either and wasn’t too impressed. I come here only because my man is in love with the hot dogs here and hes a regular.

First time and I loved it! Quick service with a smile! I got the chili slawdog, comes with onions and mustard. The bun was super fresh and didn’t get soggy or overcome by the toppings. The chili has a nice spice to it and tastes really good. The slaw was a perfect counterpart to the child’s spice. I also had the onion rings. The was fried perfectly crisp. Loved this place and will be visiting again soon. Thanks guys!

Not a big hot dog fan generally, but these were sooo good. The regular dog comes with chili, mustard and onion. I got one of those, one with slaw added and a side of [crinkle] fries, which amounted to a whopping $ 6. A regular dog is only $ 2.05 so it’s possible to get out of here really cheap if you want. Look, is this a «5 star restaurant», no. But it’s the best hot dog I’ve had in a long, long time. That and the spicy chili and slaw makes this easily a 5 star place. The cheap price is just icing on the cake. Heads up, though, cash only! Enjoy.

This place was a secret until I finally came by during their tight M-F 10 – 3 window to see what the big deal was. SO happy I did. I love little hotdog shops and didn’t know there was one a few miles from me. Gotta get the chili cheese dog all the way! The chili is pretty spicy so be warned — though if you love some kick you’ll be in for a treat. The sides are good but seriously, you’re not here for the sides ;)

Using my system of grading based on the particular niche a restaurant inhabits, Brandi’s gets five stars as the best divey hot dog place. First off, the chili dogs are great, what with the chili actually having a significant amount of kick while being very tasty. Not a lip-numbing kick, but more than what many would tolerate. I’m referring to those whose foreheads bead up with sweat after eating mild salsa. Those people should stay away from Brandi’s chili dogs. Second, the service is spectacular. There are enough people working here that my order was taken before I had hardly settled into my seat. Along with the chili dogs and fries, I ordered a soft drink and within ten seconds, a cup filled with ice was in front of me with a nod towards the soda fountain behind me. And literally as I was reseating myself after filling my cup with soda, two chili dogs with fries arrived. All with a smile. Third, the ambiance is just what I like. Divey, as I said, but without being greasy or otherwise off-putting. I like the paper towel dispensers, too. Five stars. The only thing that might be an issue is their popularity. I’d driven past a few times during peak lunch hour and saw it packed. This time, I arrived about 11AM and found the place only ¾ full.

Ok so let me day a few things before I begin my review: 1) DONOT judge this place by the way it looks on the outside or inside 2) if you’re not a fan of «hole in the wall» establishments you may wanna reconsider 3) PATIENCE is a virtue you want to exercise because there will be limited parking and a line out the door(which is usually a good sign, right?) I’m not a huge hot dog eater, but when I have a taste for one there’s no better place to go than Brandi’s. A hot dog should truly be HOT and should be nestled in a soft, pillowy bun — that’s exactly what you get!!! Spicy or Regular — With it without toppings like spicy chili or slaw — plain or with mustard. These hot dogs are the perfect size and has lots of flavor. Typical sides include fries, onion rings, chips. That’s it! Great dog. Cash only. Seat yourself . The ONLYNEGATIVE I have is that they close early and are not open weekends.

My husband introduced me to Brandi’s and this is my absolute favorite place to get hot dogs and chili at. They are seriously the most amazing dogs I’ve ever had in my life. And the chili is to DIE for. If you don’t like things too spicy, ask for your chili drained. It takes some of the edge off of it. I also highly recommend the slaw to balance the chili with the cooling aspect of the slaw. The chili cheese burgers are good too but the hot dog wins hands down on flavor. Parking can be a little tricky at times, and it’s on the smaller side inside and it’s always packed. This is a family run business and it comes through in the food and quality that comes out of the place. It’s definitely on the dive side of restaurants though — don’t expect fancy décor here. Think something out of the 70’s, with a large counter to eat at to boot. The people who work here are great — very friendly and fast and efficient. My only complaint is that they aren’t open late enough so I can make it for dinner(way too far from my work to hit it at lunch time) and they aren’t open on the weekends. BOOOO! Even just one Saturday a month would be awesome! I love Brandi’s!!!

Spicy!!! Brandi’s World Famous Hot Dogs earned it’s title. Brandi’s is located, not to far from my workplace, but I never thought to try it out until a coworker suggested it for lunch one day. She knows Brandi from high school, so yes… we may have recieved the red carpet treatment.~lol The place was crowded, so I stood around for a minute or so waiting for a seat. I spotted 2 seats between two gentlemen at the far end of the bar/counter top area(if you would call it that). My coworker was running a little behind because she stopped to get cash to pay for the food. (CASHONLY) At first I was a little afraid and wondered what I had gotten myself into, because the man beside me had turned red and was sweating while still shoving a slawdog down. I looked over at him and asked, «what’s hot, the hotdog itself or the chilli?» He said he didn’t really know but they were so good, and then ordered another one before he left — Lol. I waited for my coworker to get there before I ordered. I didn’t have any cash and didn’t want to end up busting dishes on my lunch. When she arrived, she took the lead and ordered first and I just ordered the same as she did, 2 slaw dogs, no onion, light chilli(btw: I found out the heat is in the chilli) and a order of onion rings. Brandi took our order, she was very nice and came over to chat a bit. Her mother was also there taking orders, very nice people. The food was good, comfortably spicy slawdogs and onion rings that were fried perfectly. Served on the countertop in a paper hotdog plate(I guess that’s what it’s called, yes, I’m making my own name for things), I took a papertowel and put it underneath my food as I saw other people doing. I washed it all down with a good olé fountain drink, free refills. (healthy lunch huh??? well I was not shooting for healthy this day. Lol) I can’t really say what the hotdogs are priced at, because I didn’t pay this time, but I will definitely be going back to Brandi’s sometime in the near future.

November 19th, 2013 — Today was a world class day on the awesome scale! THESCENE It’s started off with plans to hike Kennesaw Mountain with my hiking partner Jamarcus and lunch afterwards at Kennesaw State Universities campus cafeteria. I recently saw an episode of Georgia Traveler that highlighted the farm-to-table cooking to which the university has won the 2013 Innovator of the year award and bookmarked it. But our day got all rearranged after meeting a series of people who caused a spontaneous change in our food plans. A hiker suggested we stop at Mountain Biscuits, which we did. While there I told Jamarcus about the slaw burger @ Red Eyed Mule and since he’d never eaten one, what kind of Unilocal friend would I be if I didn’t introduce him to it! LOL Well, while having round two of lunch @ Red Eyed Mule, Sabra(the owner) made a suggestion that we also try the hot dogs @ Brandi’s. This is why I love small businesses. Although they are completely separate businesses, they really look out for each other. Sabra bragged on this place as if she was their biggest fan. —– THEEXPERIENCE Brandi was the first to greet us when we walked in the door. The kitchen is open and surrounded by a diner style sitting counter. Every customer in the place overheard my conversation with her which went something like this: Me — Sabra says you have thee best hotdog ever here, so we came to try one. Brandi — Which one would you like? Me — Hit me with your world’s best shot! Brandi — Do you mind slaw & chilli? Me — Bring it! Brandi — I have to warn you, it’s going to be a little spicy. Me — I’m a wimp when it comes to spicy. How spicy are we talking? Brandi — It’s pretty hot. At this point nearly EVERY customer in the place is simultaneously nodding their heads. One couple even asked me to sit where I would be facing them when I took my first bite so they could see my reaction. Me — Is it OMG make me cry spicy or just a little kick in the jaw? Brandi & several customers reply in sync — The slaw will take some of the heat off. Me — Okay, let’s do it. — — - For the next few minutes while our hotdog was being prepared, I had so much fun as other diners tried to intimidate me with stories of spicy terror. Some couldn’t wait to see if I was going to be a big wimp about the spiciness and I think a few of them even started taking bets… lol! The moment arrives! Brandi split one single dog between myself and Jamarcus and the silence fell over the diner as everyone waited to see my reaction(not kidding, it actually went dead). First bite… a little hot but not too bad. Second bite… heating up a little and third bite got even hotter, but even a wimp like me could handle this heat, which everybody already knew but me. BRINGCASH Although the hot dog was excellent, the stars really go to friendly service. I really wanted to write this review to fully express just how special Brandi made us feel. We knew nothing about this place prior to coming and it was so close to Red Eyed Mule that we didn’t even have time to check out Unilocal reviews. Well, I noticed while we were eating that everyone seemed to be paying their final bill with cash. I rarely carry cash, so I walked up to the counter a little concerned to ask Brandi if they accept credit or debit cards. «No» she replied, «but don’t worry about it. The hot dog is on me.» As much as we insisted on running to the nearest ATM, she wouldn’t accept it. Continuing to insist on paying would only add to my embarrassment, so I accepted her generosity while planning a swift return visit in my head. This entire day trip to Kennesaw was filled with meeting fun and very kind people and it’s a day both Jamarcus and I will remember for a long time to come. Thank you Brandi! Really enjoyed your world famous chilli slawdog and world class friendly environment. Your customer base is a really fun group, and that to me says a lot about you. SIDENOTE I returned to have lunch a week later and to pay for my original hot dog too. Brandi wouldn’t allow it. «But I drove 50 minutes to come pay you!» I exclaimed. «You came back to have lunch and I appreciate that» she replied! PRICELESS :-)
