Last time I was at a Big Lots was probably a good three or four years ago back home in California. After spotting this store on Canton Rd I decided to make a stop and see if it was anything like I remembered it. They carry a large amount of furniture and home goods now. They had several couches, coffee tables, area rugs, bed frames and mattresses for sale. That was probably the biggest change. Other than that it was pretty much the same from what I remember. Their food section was extensive, I was impressed that they had Bob’s Red Mill Products. You can find them at almost any grocery store, but they’re PRICEY. So I grabbed some Flaxseed meal and some Black Bean soup for $ 3.50 each, great bargain. Their bread is from a local Arnold Bread Outlet that has been returned from local grocery stores because they’re nearing their expiration date. So pay attention to the dates, this can be a great deal if you don’t shop at Costco where bread seems to be the cheapest. You can always grab a couple of loaves and throw it in your freezer. Their toy selection was a lot bigger than I remembered and they had a lot of name brand stuff like Barbie and Fisher Price toys. Overall I think you can get a great bargain.
