This was my first experience finding a nice bead store in this area with a big selection. The woman working there(she was pregnant and it was her last day) was very nice. The owner was nice, if a bit reserved. But he answered my questions. He was busy with paperwork. Perhaps his focus is finding the best selection of beads for his store. They had a great selection of gemstones, and any other bead you could want. Swarovskis are sold in strands, unfortunately. I only needed one to finish a bracelet. Findings, seed beads, pearls in tons of colors, superduos and metal and glass beads are in abundance in a good selection of colors. I would highly recommend shopping here for your bead stash!

I read reviews on Kudzu about what a jerk the owner is; I should have taken those words to heart. He will not answer any questions. Something as simple as, «When does the other half of your store open?» is met by a surly, «Can’t you read the sign in the window?» «Yes sir, I can. It says the store opens at 11 am, it’s now 1130, the door is locked.» He then told me his help was getting kicked out of her apartment and he had no idea when the other side of the store would open.(too busy minding her business to manage his own) The beads I saw on the operational side of the store are insanely overpriced. Glass beads I have purchased for $ 0.35(thirty five cents) from Bead Box Bargains, are $ 8 per strand at Bead Dreams. If these same quality beads are $ 3 per strand on the«outlet» side, they are still crazy overpriced.

I have only been to three bead shops and this one is BYFAR the absolute best! Large variety and the nicest staff… very helpful(I am very, very, very new at this) regarding beading, wire wrapping, etc. Even though they could have tried to sell me books, they suggested going to you-tube and watching videos first and«playing» with making jewelry. Then, if I liked it and wanted to continue, buy some books and take some classes. Location is a little hard to find as the strip mall in which they are located is kind of down in a hole… right on Roswell Road next to Harry’s Farmers Market. Prices were the most reasonable of any of the three AND they have taken over the space next door and that’s where they have all their close-out beads for $ 3 a strand(not per bead, but per strand). I was expecting a lot of cheap, crappy beads for $ 3, but there were blown glass beads, natural stone beads(usually the most expensive) including agate and quartz, every shape and size of bead… absolutely beautiful. They are in the process of taking over a third storefront and having a workshop where they will offer multiple classes. Can’t wait!
