Friendly people. Food tasted like leftovers. The temperature of the food was in a range of lukewarm to room temperature. The baby back ribs were stale tasting. The pulled pork was dry and needed seasoning. The brisket was like leather strips. The bottles of sauce on the table offered a variety of favors. Yet, do not touch the bottles. They haven’t been washed in a long time. Just gross. If you’re hungry for food, this place is not worth crossing the street to have a meal.

Let’s not kids ourselves — southern Ohio isn’t exactly a hotbed of good barbecue. But that’s why BarBCutie’s fits so well; it fills a niche that was mostly empty. Like a fast food joint, you order at a counter and fill your drink at a drink fountain. The staff brings your food to your table in fairly short order, and takes away a number marker given to you when you ordered. But that’s where the similarities end. The food tastes more like a small, family-run restaurant than a chain(they are one, however, with most locations in Tennessee). It’s pretty high quality at a fair price. Not the best I’ve ever had, but pretty darn good especially for the region. (Visited Spring 2013)

Not a fan. Food was lukewarm including potato salad. Pulled pork was extremely dry. Friendly staff and prices are good. Would not return to this chain again.

After walking in I noticed there was only maybe 5 customers eating.(Red flag) I walked up to counter and waited 5 minutes. No one shows nor did I even see anybody. So I walked into the kitchen area to find someone. I found someone washing dishes. I ordered and it was delivered to my table. They Never returned! I had ordered banana pudding and it was not on my plate. Had to go to counter to get. All together –food was good but TERRIBLESERVICE

I have tried their food on two occasions and both times it has been bad food with an expensive bill for what you get. They use poor quality of food, for example advertising bacon bits but using baco bits on their baked potatoes. The sirloin steak is not fresh, appears to be frozen patties. There are much better options in this area

The pork BBQ wasn’t bad the last time we were here. However, this time I went with the he’d stuffed spud. The description sounded great. Unfortunately I was met with a potato that wasn’t fluffy and seemed like it had sat for a while. The menu promised bacon. I got baco bits. Not only bacos but stale ones. It was sad, disappointing and not worth eating.

Very good BBQ place with a good selection of sauces. The chili is above average but not spectacular and the sweet tea could be a bit sweeter but overall I think it’s a good place to eat if not maybe a tad on the expensive side for the quality. The facility was clean and the restrooms are probably the cleanest I’ve seen anywhere. Staff was very friendly as well. Update: owner contacted me shortly after the review, this shows me they really care about their business and customer satisfaction. I will definitely stop in again if I’m in the area.

Awful food. Mac and cheese is like baby food and the brisket was cold lunch meat. Avoid this place. It is the worst BBQ joint I have ever been.

Nice casual BBQ joint. Very clean and staff was super nice. Food is decent not the typical BBQ I’m used to but still tasty. Portions was huge for the money. I recommend the fried corn bread very good. I will visit here again when I’m in the area.

This is seriously the worst food I’ve had in a long time. I came in hungry, left no longer hungry not because we ate well but because I was disgusted by the 3 bites of food I managed to get down my gullet.

I was in Marietta last weekend and went here Friday night. The place was clean and the staff was nice but, the food was disappointing. There was not much meat on the ribs and the mac’n cheese was only warm. It wasn’t terrible but I’m not going back. After posting, I was contacted by the owner and he apologized for my experience. He seemed very genuine, and asked me to give them another shot. I was shocked to see how closely business owners follow their reviews. I have also heard horror stories about owners harassing Unilocaler’s who posted critical reviews. This was not the case. I have no doubt he actually addressed my issues. It’s nice to see some business owners valuing the input of their patrons.

Very good bbq! The staff was kind and courteous, bringing the food to my table and then coming to get dirty dishes from the table. I would recommend the Bar-B-Cutie to any and all. I will make sure I visit when I am back this way.

Very cheap, fast food barbeque. Food was cold. Mac n cheese nasty. Mashed potatoes not homemade like says on menu. Meat was a joke. No real butter. Ketchup cheap. Waste of time and money. Surprised still in business.

We’ve visited Bar-B-Cutie a couple of times recently, so I’ll compile both visits into one review. This is the kind of place where you order at the counter, they give you a number, and then bring the food to your table. The menu is fairly straightforward to understand, but gives you a lot of opportunity for customization, with a wide variety of sides to choose from. The first time we visited, we both ordered the sampler platter, which gives you small servings of pulled pork, ribs, and your choice of BBQ chicken or brisket.(I had the former; my companion had the latter.) Of all the meats we tried, our favorite was definitely the pulled pork. We also enjoyed the cornbread, which is pan-fried like a pancake and delicious. On our second visit, my companion wisely ordered the pulled pork again, but I branched out and had the smoked turkey, which I didn’t enjoy, as it had a definite steam-table flavor to it. We also got to try the Texas toast, as our waitress brought it to us mistakenly instead of the cornbread, and it wasn’t bad.(Although the cornbread is definitely better.) Of the sides we’ve tried, the french fries and onion rings were great, the cinnamon apples were pretty good, and the macaroni and cheese was passable. We haven’t tried the desserts, but they look quite good, especially the banana pudding. There’s also a kids’ menu with a variety of choices.(Our youngster came with us on our second visit and had the grilled cheese. He ate the whole thing, so it must have been good!) We’ve certainly been to better barbecue restaurants, but the price and speed here make this a good choice when you’re in the neighborhood and in a hurry.
