If you want to slop the hogs its the place to go but if you have taste buds that work don’t bother.

Great selection of country food. They have great deserts and mashed potatoes. The service is pretty good and quick.

We came across this, as we were driving through Marianna at lunchtime. The buffet was very reasonable($ 10.95) and very well stocked, with some delicious fried chicken and every other food to fit your Southern food cravings. You definitely won’t come here for health food, but the service was prompt, polite, and frequent, and you will most definitely leave this restaurant stuffed.

Good home cookin’. Fine fried chicken. Clean well kept buffet and a friendly wait staff. Priced right at 8.95. Has an over 60 senior discount. Pay before you eat during lunch buffet. Not bad… not bad at all.

A nice family restaurant to eat at on Sunday when most restaurants in the area are closed. Owner is on-site and takes pride in serving well-prepared, tasty food to her diners. The fried chicken and chicken-fried steak are wonderful. Service staff is attentive, friendly and efficient, even when the dining area is full, which is typical on Sundays.

Salad bar is halfway decent, not too much of a selection for the entrees. The Tuesday lunch I went was fried chicken, catfish, or liver and onions, none of which appeal to me(out of towner).

This was one if they best buffets I have eaten at! Really good southern home cooking. The fried chicken was amazing as well as the peach cobbler! I had two helpings if each. The salad bar had plenty of variety of veggies and salads such as crab salad, tuna and broccoli, etc. homemade croutons topped it off! My 5 year old ate 3 chicken legs along with his green beans mashed potatoes and gravy and his bananas and strawberries. He kept saying how good it was. That says a lot for him because he is a very picky eater. The wait staff was very tentative to our needs for plates to be cleared and drinks to be refilled. This definitely on our list of stops from now on!

Driving across on I-10 and we wanted something other than fast food for lunch. I agree with the other review — Jim’s was good food, and friendly local people. Some of the food was homemade, and all-in-all it was a lot nicer stop than running through drive-through. We would come back.
