Small place, not sure why it’s called a steak house. Really more like a bar that serves steak. It looks and feels like a converted house. The steaks are ok but their sides are interesting. They serve white bread as their bread. Service can be slow. Staff seems friendly enough. In today’s environment you can do off beat if you have a hook, great food, fantastic service, a manager who makes you feel like you are one of the special people no matter who you are. This is not that place.

We try and eat at R & R at least twice a month. They really make you feel like family and their food is AWESOME. In fact that is where dinner is tonight!

waiting for more then 40 minutes for the food to come to the table. The owner was at the bar and couldn’t even take a moment to come over and apologize. The Service was deplorable and when I ordered the Filet Mignon I was told they were out of Filet and down to their last New York Strip. Can you believe that? A steak house that runs out of steak? That is stupid. Considering they are asking for upwards of $ 20 for a steak depending on cut this place is by far the worst steak house I have ever frequented. We arrived at 6:30 and didn’t leave until almost 9:00 That is 2.5 of my life I will never get back.

We stopped in there for lunch, and the folks holding up the bar said they don’t serve food, yet the information on Unilocal mentioned they did. We left to find another restaurant. If you want to drink, I guess it’s ok. But don’t go there for anything to eat. PS… who ever owns the establishment, change your name. It doesn’t appear that you have steaks.

This place is All. About. The. Meat. The steaks are fantastic, the prime rib the best I’ve ever had. Ignore the canned soup, frozen vegetables and tiny brown’n’serve roll, it’s worth it. The meat is all you are there for at this place and they really do have the best steaks around.

Your typical supper club menu with pretty decent prime rib. What really made this place shine was the service. I had brought my son with autism and they couldn’t have been more helpful with him and accommodating his needs. Service was fast, drinks were generous and food was good.

I saw a few reviews about this little place that seems to be hiding away down a quaint little country road in Woodstock, IL. At first glance I honestly didn’t know what to expect. From the outside it looks like a little country home, and while the décor on the inside is of an older style, it feels like a step back in time by 20 or more years. The pace seems to be a bit slower, the people friendlier, and the Steak… FANTASTIC. This place was SO much more than I expected. Their baked potatos are very dry and overcooked but the star here is the perfectly cooked steaks. Steak of this quality at the price they deliver it for just screams success. How this place isn’t packed wall to wall all day long is beyond me. Take your family here and have a delicious steak for less than you’ll pay at a Longhorn’s or Outback with better flavor. Did I mention you get Au Jus with EVERY steak? Yeah… big plus.
