Cross Winds Farm

I board my show horse here and work here every Saturday. Everyone at CWF does their best to ensure the safety of our students and health of all our horses. We have lesson horses and tack available as well as helmets and boots. Call ahead to schedule a lesson with one of our friendly, patient, well educated trainers and come half an hour early to learn to tack up and groom a horse! CWF is like my second home anyone can learn to ride ! come in and try out one of the best family owned barns in the Northern IL area!

This facility goes above and beyond when it comes to meeting your expectations. Wether you want to go in to a competitive sport, buy/​sell a horse, english, western, or just because you love horses, then this is the barn for not only you; but everyone. It is the most gorgeous, and quite place. Everyone is family and there is new opportunities to exceed everyday, not only while working with the horses, but yourself.
They have the best most experienced trainers and facility. Their horses are top notch, and willing to make you too. This is a relaxed environment specializing in many disciplines of the equine. I bored my horse here, am on their competitive hunter jumper team, and I would never imagine leaving. I’ve meet so many people, and willing to call all of them my family and best friends. I find myself wanting to go to Cross Winds more than going home. I consider this my 2^nd home.

Whole family loves this friendly, wonderful place. Right from the beginning we felt welcome here. No snobbish attitudes from instructors or boarders. Everyone here is here because they love horses and want to share that. The owner really takes pride in the farm and business. Safety of riders and horses is always the first concern. She strives to give everyone who wants to enjoy horses in their life a safe, fun environment to learn in. Nice school horses and Great instructors. Great for beginners and experienced riders alike. Excellent care is given to all of the lucky horses who reside here. So blessed to have found Cross Winds. Spent time as a kid at facilities where anyone who didn“t ‘drip money’ and own a horse didn’t fit in. Wish I had found a barn like this when I was a kid.

Daughter still rides here… and I still spend 2 to 3 hours a week hanging out talking to animals while she does her thing. (Not sure who enjoys the time more — her, or me?)
Still a really friendly business — including owner, staff and boarders. Overall cleanliness of the barn (it’s all relative, right?) is great — everything is ship shape and tidy — and there are always little things that show continuous effort to keep everything orderly.
Horses get fantastic care, boarders are happy. All in all — a good business.
