Lancaster County Sausage

Had a sausage, onion and pepper sandwich there on Saturday. Totally hit the spot! And on 4.50. Not too shabby. Kid grilling the sausages was in the zone.

Great sausage sandwiches, but I’d say skip the fried vegetables… I have gotten them from time to time over the years, and every time I wonder why because they’re not very good… They’re just not crispy and I guess I like my broccoli and cauliflower prepared other ways better. The onion rings, however, are pretty banging and definitely fresh cut!!!
This place has been around for as long as I can remember and always has a line so they are definitely doing something right.

This place may have the best cheesesteak… ever. Yes, I said it and Yes, I have lived in Philly for over 15 years and Yes, I have tried those 2 famous places (Geno’s and Pat’s)…they just don’t compare! Well, maybe Pat’s does… but still! I love their cheesesteaks here! Lots of steak and what’s great is that they just don’t pile the cheese on top of the steak, they actually integrate the cheese into the steak by mixing it on the grill! So it’s just a mass of gooey cheese and meat AND you can mix in those peppers and onions! All of this deliciousness is served on a toasted Amoroso roll. So dang good! When I visit Philly, I purposely make sure I can stop by here when I go back to Seattle. This place also serves some great sausages too! My aunt always gets the turkey sausage with the onions and peppers AND with a side of their secret sauce… can’t miss this place when you are at Booth’s Corner Farmers’ Market!

Why I gave it a 5…
There cheesesteaks have never disappointed me. They are consistently cheesy with tons of meat in there. And they pack it great for airplane trips too! No leakage of any of that deliciousness: D. You definitely have to stop by here for a very filling lunch at Booth’s Corner. Plus, they also have a variety of fired vegetables too that are served with a cheese sauce… buy this too if you have room after that huge cheesesteak!

Fresh sausages grilled to perfection! Abe Froman (yes the sausage king of Chicago) would be proud!
