If it’s good enough for Running Bull, it’s good for me. I forgot to ask if these tippis are authentic, but I believe they are. Bath emenities are rather nice and clean. It is such a unique experience and one you will not forget too soon. A river runs through it(the grounds) which adds to the tranquility. Your hosts(l.a. escapees) are very accommodating and personable. Home cooking for a paid dinner(in the lovely outside kitchen area) with all the guest invited should you please; a great way to meet and socialize with new people from all over. Since it is a rather intimate setting and feels as though you are an invited guest at their home… some may feel that they don’t have 100% privacy. This is not a bad thing, just something to note. This location is a out on a country road; toooo long a walk to Eugine… but that may be a good thing. Make sure that they insure your reservation by phone(NOTEMAIL) due to what I read below regarding a wedding situation.

I would write a novel about how awesome this place is but my wife already did! Great food, beautiful surroundings, pleasant tepee’s, and the other guests there the weekend we went made our time there even better. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway with your partner or a group of friends!

This places deserves all five stars. The one bad thing about it, is that it’s so far from seattle! I wish it was closer so I could stay with them more often! I was looking for a last minute weekend getaway for my one year wedding anniversary and I’m glad I found this! This was our first glamping experience and it was wonderful. The tipi’s were so cute and comfortable. They all have stone floors, a queen sized bed and lamps! All you have to bring are your clothes, they provide bedding and towels! We stayed plenty warm at night, and I am always cold! One tipi has a firepit inside, I hope we can get that one next time! There’s also a large one that has two queen beds in it and can sleep up to about 8 people if you wanted! There are two bathrooms, each with a toilet, sink and shower. Our tipi(Sacagawea) was the farthest tipi, but the distance to the bathroom was not bad at all! Even at night, the trail between tipi’s and to the bathroom is lit with lights so you really don’t even need a flashlight(we forgot one)! Did I mention there’s a hot tub?! It’s a built in hot tub made of tile. It’s quite a good size. Our last night there we had 8 people in it! Bugs were not really a problem like I thought they would be. We didn’t see a single bug in our tipi, even with the top flap open so we could see the stars! And believe me, I am not a bug person! They provide a great breakfast, included in your stay! Pancakes, oatmeal, bread, fruit, eggs, yogurt, potatoes, lox, cheese… And of course coffee and tea! You can pay extra for dinner, which was amazing as well. We had grilled salmon, veggies and rice the first night. The second night we had a Spanish paella. Ken so kindly accommodated everyone’s diet restrictions leaving things out for those who requested. They do not serve alcohol, but you are welcome to bring your own beer and wine. No hard liquor though. This is such a great place to getaway from city life. It’s so peaceful. There are plenty of sitting areas throughout the property as well as several hammocks, which we took a siesta in before dinner! The creek runs along the edge of the property which is so calming to hear and you can walk/play in it. They do have wifi, but it only works close to the main building, which is where the meals are served. No one seemed to mind about the lack of Internet since we were all looking for an escape from reality. Tipi village is a gem. I cannot wait to return with friends next time! I recommend this place to anyone who wants to relax and get away from life, even if you don’t like the outdoors, this is very comfortable glamping!

I’ve never went camping and I hate being out in the wilderness with bugs and whatnot, but this was the best sleep my boyfriend and I have ever gotten!

Wife booked reservations for us. We made the reservation online, and we had them for over a week. My wife was then called and told our reservation had been cancelled because they booked a wedding. We were told that the online reservation system wasn’t updated properly, and that’s why we were able to make the reservation even though they booked the whole place for a wedding. We were also told they had to cancel two other reservations. Sorry, but I call bullshit on this. I believe that the wedding was requested after we made our reservations. Of course a wedding party that books the entire place is way better financially than a few reservations, so we and the other people got bumped. Pure and simple. Luckily my wife found another teepee place and we will go there instead. We will never make another reservation here.

This place was amazing! Ken and Susanne were so sweet and accommodating. My husband and I had a great time sitting around the group fire pit late at night and the food was delicious! We had breakfast each morning on the lovely patio overlooking the yard. The property is gorgeous and well maintained. We stayed in one of the larger tipi’s called the Chief Seattle which features a campfire — we loved having the campfire in the middle of the tipi at night when the temperature dropped, it was so fun! Definitely will come back again, I highly recommend this place. If you are looking for something to do closeby– we had a great time rafting down the McKenzie River which was only an hour’s drive away.

First to review… Sweet! :) I cannot thank Ken & Susanne enough for their amazing hospitality and warmth they showed us on our visit here last month. If you’re looking for something completely unique & relaxing, then this is the place to go. Nestled in rolling hills about 25 miles north east of Eugene, this place is a genuine find. Staying in a Tipi, being at one with nature was surreal! The gardens & forest where the Tipi’s are located are so peaceful and welcoming. We stayed in the Chief Seattle Tipi which is about 5ft away from a gorgeous creek. It even has it’s own fire-pit — which was awesome since it actually got down to the high 30s the night we stayed! Obviously there isn’t a bathroom in the Tipi, but there are a couple of bathrooms within a short walk around the main house. Breakfast consisted of fresh coffee, Kens homemade pancakes and locally sourced produce. I swear we left the place with our minds relaxed & our bodies rejuvenated. Our hosts were warm, funny and stimulating. Definitely something to add to your bucket list!
