While staying in Naples for a few weeks, I needed to find a place that I could pick up some gluten free bread and other items. I was so pleased with this shop! Delicious smoothies(try the paleo!) as well as daily soups. Wish it was in my home town!

Great healthy choice. Sandwiches which you can request to be grilled along with smoothies. I got the chicken pesto wrap along with a colada smoothie.

Overpriced for really basic food. Caesar wrap didn’t have enough dressing on it either. Disappointed to say the least. Soup is homemade and tasty but not exceptional(my mom has made better). The store itself was a surprise, too. I expected health foods but it’s more of a supplement/Zen store, and I didn’t find the healthy snacks and granola bars I came for. I live near a health food store in Chatham County, North Carolina(where we are famous for being hippies and biofuel freaks) and I can tell you that the dry turkey wrap at the Chatham Marketplace was way better than the Caesar wrap at Summer Dawn. Disappointed, but a decent shop if you’re looking for healing crystals, natural clothes, and supplements.

Great little store tucked back in a strip mall. We went for lunch. Probably the only place that makes their own soup from scratch. It was delicious as was the options on the salad bar. Fun clothes and jewelry too!

Really liked this place. The wheat grass was delicious and sweet. We bought some udo oil and it’s awesome. Also tried the juice and it was also good. This place has so much healthy choices, you can’t go wrong buying most of the items here.

My goodness I love this place so so much. Truly wish I could find a gem like this everywhere I go. I love juice/smoothie bars, vegetarian food, healthy things, and cool everything. This place has all of that. Went in here to get snacks and a smoothie but was surprised and so super pleased to walk into a very mini grocery store, a little hippie/good vibe tribe store, a vitamin store, AND a smoothie/juice bar. Are you serious? All of my favorite things in one. The little land on the left had really cool clothes, books, jewelry, accessories, etc. And the land on the right had rows of vitamins and healthy pills and what not, healthy snacks and groceries, a salad bar, and smoothies! I got a smoothie which was fabulous and all of the workers were super awesome and nice too. Great place!!!

People are SOFRIENDLY& helpful here! I got a little bit of a cold while on vacation & was hoping to find a healthy place where I could re-vamp my insides. $ 80 later & I was content! I approached the young woman at the counter for any advice on purchases for a sore throat & congestion. She immediately brought me in the right direction & was nothing but a ray of sunshine. I purchased some things for cold, a throat chakra necklace, made my own salad, got a yummy green juice! And some other goodies… Loved it here!

As a Marco Island native and avid vegan, this market is absolutely wonderful! It’s a haven for those who want healthy, organic, and natural products without having to travel to the mainland. Summer Day is truly a gem, providing its customers a change of pace from the major chain grocery stores like Publix or Winn-Dixie. You can find great gift ideas here as well! Tie-dyed shirts, salt lamps, and exotic jewelry are just some of the awesome finds at Summer Day. Whenever I’m visiting my family on Marco, I always make a point to stop in for lunch and get the delicious warm veggie wrap. The prices may seem a little high, but I know I’m paying for quality things that I can’t find anywhere else on the island. The people working are usually really friendly, too. I’ve never had a bad experience with Summer Day and recommend anyone visiting or living on Marco Island to try this place out!

This market is only so so. We decided to give this local market a try, so we could support something other than the box stores or coffee shops. We tried to get a simple coffee or americano with cream or half-n– half. The workers response was«sorry. We don’t carry fancy drinks». So I asked for drip coffee instead. Which was a mistake. The coffee was horrible and extremely weak. I usually add a little cream or h&h to enrich the mouthfeel. But was told” we don’t carry dairy, because it’s unhealthy and our customers rarely ask for it”. All in all, this market is mediocre otherwise. Although a bit on the spendy side. Do yourself a favour and go to Winn Dixie and Starbucks, the service and product are better and more reasonable.

The website touts gluten free grocery and café items. When we went to order a GF sandwich(we explained celiac disease) from the café, we could not believe the level of rudeness exhibited by the staff. We were met with a sneer and were told, «We can’t guarantee gluten free.» What??? I had to ask if they could just prepare the sandwich(they tout gf bread!) on a plate away from gluten crumbs. Then she went on to tell me they put gluten bread in their toaster – um, don’t toast it? The website gives the impression they will make every effort to make things gf. So why the attitude??? We certainly didn’t have one. Maybe we paid extra for that given the price of the sammies. If the kids weren’t so hungry, we would have left immediately, but we were stuck. Yes, they have lots of gf groceries, but Publix is right there and Winn Dixie not much further. They have plenty of GF minus the high horse attitude.

I was glad to find a spot on the island to pick up the«staples» i needed for a few days of vaca. It seems the other mainstream grocers on the island don’t have much for the natural/organic crowd. I also really loved the juice bar and the staff was very friendly. Ur not going to be able to stock the whole fridge but a great market to find the essentials or a healthy lunch.

I love this place! Every time I come to Marco Island this is one of my first stops. I love walking there in the morning and having one of their smoothies! They are all delicious and healthy with no added sugar components :) I love the Island Energizer and the chunk0monkey. Their food selection, health items, and teas are great. I will agree that they are quite pricey which is the only reason this review is not 5 stars! They seemed to have moved stuff around since the last time I was here and it seems more roomy with a widened array of beauty options. Overall great stuff you cannot get anywhere else with great smoothies for when you have had your fair share of grouper fingers and fries and your body needs a proper refuel :)

Been coming here for years, and have always had great service, and food! A great place to eat a healthy something. Also, the best place to find freshly squeezed carrot juice!

If I take into consideration that they are the ONLY health food store for miles and miles, I would say it’s a 4 star. But I’m comparing to other health food stores. The main reason why only a three star is the extremely high prices– Like, borderline crazy. I can live with the small size and somewhat limited selection(though they definitely have all the essentials). Anyhow, if you need something besides lobster and steak while on Marco Island, they seem to be by far your best bet. Plus, the staff is very very nice.

What a great little surprise to find that we were able to continue our organic lifestyle while visiting Marco Island. They had everything we needed for my son’s gluten free diet, including things we’ve never seen before. The staff was extremely helpful with recommendations on many of their products. We ate most of our lunches there since their homemade soup was also gluten free and they made sandwiches to order for our picky family. I was even able to grab some funky gifts for my friends. Thanks to the staff we can’t wait to return.

If you need it, here’s a good health-food store on Marco Island. We found the grocery items in the store to be a bit pricey though. The deli/grill/lunch-counter serves up some pretty good(if standard) vegetarian items — think e.g. hummus sandwich. It’s yummy after a hard day lazying about at Tigertail Beach.
