Just had a WONDERFUL experience at this store. Grace helped us look at paper for our wedding invitations! She was knew exactly what she was talking about and made wonderful suggestions with no pressure and I could not be happier! Adorable shop, awesome service!

By far the best place to buy unique cards!!! This is my go to store for cards and fun gifts! Grace does a great job on invitations and very easy to work with!

I LOVE this shop! I’m a bit quirky and take great joy in sending out thoughtful, cheeky, and chic cards; i.e., not your regular bought at the drugstore Hallmark cards. Scribe delivers on all accounts and even has an eclectic array of keepsakes and gifts; surely there is something there to please everyone.
The staff are always a friendly bunch and usually remember repeat customers, which to me is a big plus. Somehow it’s always easy to come back regularly when people remember you. Another plus (to me) is the great music that is always playing when I’m perusing cards — it lightens the mood and enables you to fully take in all of their cards. Be sure to check the first shelf of cards when you walk through the door because a) they are relevant to the holiday/​season and b) they are usually quite funny! The store does custom cards/​invitations and it appears that they have a wide array available to choose from. Other custom items are stamps and letterpresses available for order.
All in all, if you need a funny card, gift, or stationary then Scribe has got you covered! Definitely a wonderful shop and the location serves to bolster it’s awesomeness.

It is a nice local spot with character, not like a chain store, and has a cool selection of handmade crafts and other art that compliments the small town Marblehead feel.

Megan and I first saw this store walking by late at night, peeking in store windows. She saw a gift bag on display behind the counter and asked me to break in and get it for her so she could frame it and hang it on the wall. («Because it was just that beautiful.») Of course I didn’t, but she was headed out of town that weekend, so I did sneak over there when they were open and get her a few of their very original cards, and the gift bag, which I filled with chocolate chip cookies for her trip. I’m embarrassed to say that I’m staring at the remains of the gift bag, matted and framed, hanging on the wall above the dining table.
