Worst shellac manicure I have ever had. The technician was clearly in a rush to get the manicure done as quick as possible. He was careless and rushed. Will never return here.

I very much enjoyed my experience here. I came with my two girlfriends and we all got shellac manis. The people were very nice, the place is very clean, I’ll definitely be coming back for pedicures in the near future. One of my friends chipped a corner of her nail, so we came back the following day and they took care of her no problem. Overall very nice and hospitable.

This is my third time here. Each time for me has been the same. When I get manicures, my nails are trimmed too short for the French Manicures to look right. Each time they file my nails, they don’t clean the nail shavings from under the tip of the nail. The tips of my nails never end up even. Pedicures are a little better but this specific visit, the Manicurist left nail polish on the skin of my toes and never cleaned them off. More patience and perfection from her would have been appreciated.

This place is amazing!!! I’m not sure who the other people are referring as I’ve always loved the company of Cindy & Michael and have never had a problem with them. They make me feel at ease and create such a friendly atmosphere. The shop is very nice and neat with a wide variety of polish colors. My nails always come out looking great! They always have the best designs. Cindy gave my nieces a cheetah print and zebra nail design which they RAVED about! I just wish that they were nearer to me since my nieces and I were so happy!

I had my nails done here a few times. I have acrylic nails and they require a level of care. The shop seems to be a man-wife thing. The manicurist was an evil-tempered woman, maybe the wife of the man who was sweeping the floors. She informed me that my nails had not been done right and went on to tell me how lucky I was to have someone like her. Maybe I was and didn’t know it. I stood for her unpleasant attitudes twice more and then it was goodbye. Good luck to all those who enter.

This was the worst experience I have ever had getting my nails done. I went in for a shellac French manicure in between a few appointments I had that day, found this place conveniently in the area of my appts. I should have been tipped off when the shellac already on my fingers was only soaked in regular nail polish remover instead of pure acetone and predominantly removed forcefully with manicure instruments, really scraped and pulled off. Then this man cut my nails too short for a nice looking french manicure. Now I have had shellac done on my nails many times, as I tend to be rough on manicures, so I’m somewhat familiar with the process. Now since he forcefully removed the previous shellac, there were some pulls on my nails, he didn’t buff or emory them, just proceeded to blame the previous worn brand of shellac, again, which I have used many times previously without incident. He then proceeded to sloppily apply white shellac directly to my nail, no base coat. The lines were uneven at best. The manicure continued on this way, also my nails were not set in the UV light long enough in between coats, one nail was significantly sticky when I left. You could also see bubbles and where he hadnt bothered to buff my nail where he pulled the other shellac off. This whole process set me back $ 35, even more than my usual place, for a much less skilled manicure. I was not happy with the quality at all, but just said to myself I would not return. Unfortunately, the story gets worse. After I left, within one hour, I noticed one of the nails had already chipped. I was upset, I get the shellac to be long lasting, but I had a few minutes to run in to get it fixed before my next appointment. I showed him, and he said sphe would fix it. He literally just cut away where it came off my nail, and basically put a big glob of white over the spot and put it under the UV. After this 5 – 10 minutes, he said it was fixed. It looked awful, just like a big glob, it was lumpy, just bad, definitely not acceptable to already want to hide your nails within an hour of getting them done. So I said I was not pleased, but had no more time, so I would like a refund to be able to get it fixed elsewhere, as for the rest of the week I could not make it back to Marblehead. he blamed my nail, said he needed 10 more minutes of my time, which I really didn’t have when he fixed it the first time, so he said I could come back another day, that was his only solution. I said I had given him a chance to fix it, now I had to go, but I would need to get it redone elsewhere, as even just in the course of this convo another nail chipped, which should not happen with shellac. As I mentioned before i had shellac on previously, and the manucure i had was 2.5 weeks old, still perfect, just grown out. He threatened to call the police, basically just rude, and after continuously denying any responsibility for why an hour old shellac manicure was already coming off two nails, walked away from me. I ended up back at my usual place late that night, perfect 10 nails in downtown Salem, highly recommended. When they were removing his slap dash job, they noted to me it was definitely not done properly, it came right off with an Emory board and regular polish remover. Again, in all my years I have never been treated like I was at Nails 2004, and I really doubt they know what they are doing, especially with regards to shellac polish.
