I stopped in here on a weekend I was visiting Marblehead and was really underwhelmed. A lot of the items they had were just(to put it nicely) not my taste. I was in and out in 5 minutes. My airbnb host said this place sometimes gets good things, it’s hit or miss. So check it out, you might find something. But I feel like Cambridge thrift stores are actually better.

I was looking for some antique postcards and was very happy with the service and help from the owners. I was really impressed when a local customer came in for a quick lesson on polishing silver. I listened and watched the owner offer tips and techniques. I thought it was great customer service and just wanted to add that to my experience there. Also, impressive selection of antiques!

I bought an antique piece from the owner of Marblehead Antiques(in her store) that had been«restored.» It promptly fell apart when I brought it home — the same day! I asked the her(the owner of Marblehead Antiques) to repair it(which seemed like a fair deal). She promptly agreed, and said she would follow up with me ASAP. After many broken promises on her behalf and a total lack of follow through; I finally had the piece professionally repaired at my considerable expense. Be cautious of Marblehead Antiques shabbily repaired, and/or «restored» pieces. Caveat Emptor or better yet, stay away from this seaside Marblehead tourist trap!!!
