Starcke Dam

Yeah so I ventured off to the road on the left from the initial split (where I thought people were going to fish) and I was wrong. It was nothing but a driveway to a dead end. ALTHOUGH — I went back up to the plateau I mentioned in my initial review and walked up to this small pile of dirt and found a small path behind it that led to this open embankment with an even better view from above the dam area (not directly above the dam itself however). I noticed you could pretty much walk over to the edge of where the rocks ran into a dirt hill and I suppose if you really wanted to, you could hike down to the bottom. I didn’t try it (for lack of proper footwear) plus I think you can probably talk to the management office and ask them for the ‘official’ and safer way to the bottom.
