Had the worst experience with Lil guy named Thomas. He was really pervy, and inappropriate to me. He would wait until my friends would be looking around and start saying really inappropriate things to me. When I asked to speak with the manager he said he was the manager. When I ask him to stop being inappropriate he told me he was going to pray for me. Ladies watch out for this little meek quite man! Needless to say my friends and I left. Creepy! Never going back!

What a beautiful range in the Hill Country of Texas! The staff was helpful, the clubhouse was nice, the bays were large and all had gorgeous views!

I have had nothing but a great experience interacting with Thomas and his staff out at Copperhead Creek. I’ll have to admit however, after reading Dan H.‘s review about the 3-Gun competition, I was a little concerned to try the match. However my concerns were quickly put aside as Thomas and the R. O’s, provided an incredible match that was not only challenging but smoothly run as well. We started on time and ended early, ice cold water at every stage no complaints from anyone in attendance. The 3-Gun Matches are by far the best run and most challenging in the area. While you do pay a little more than other area ranges, the service and grounds are far superior. The many options for competition at the range far exceed anything offered at other local ranges. The long distance range has targets out to 400 yards and it looks like they will soon offer even farther distances. Take the trip out, you won’t be dissapointed.

It’s such a shame when a facility has so much potential and is ruined by incompetence and douchebaggery. I’ve been to this range multiple times, and have shot several competitions here, both 3-gun and precision rifle matches. I will never return, there are other ranges that deserve your hard-earned fiat currency way more than this one. They have a decent long range section and a nice pro shop, but the owner/manager Thomas is one of the most arrogant, abrasive A-holes I’ve ever personally been around, and that’s saying quite a bit, I’ve known some doozies. I could tell the story of why I came to this conclusion, but I’ll spare you the details. Suffice it to say he’s demonstrated his complete lack of «interpersonal skills» on multiple occasions and seems to think he’s everyone’s manager, even if you’re a paying customer. He despises certain rifle platforms and deems them«noncompetitive» and refuses to «let» you use them in matches, even if 3-gun nation does not have a rule against it, you could probably outshoot him with it, and said«noncompetitive» rifle has been in production for almost 70 years, there’s 100 million of them and is the most ubiquitous rifle in the world. I’ll let you figure that one out. When I was puzzled and asked if it was a 3-gun nation rule the response was«No, it’s my rule, ANDDON’T YOUEVERQUESTIONIT!!» Riiiight. More than enough drama for a relaxing Saturday morning at the range. He must have had a traumatic experience with one at some point :(You would think that someone who should be a proponent of individual freedoms and responsible gun ownership would«get it», but this guy doesn’t. If you go to shoot long range($ 35 for 2 hrs) they take your money then let you go down and notify the guys shooting that their time is up. I have personally seen this result in fireworks, since when we had to do it the demented old guy who’s always there stormed off yelling about how«I HELPEDBUILDTHISGODDAMNEDPLACE!» There are multiple other ranges nearby with much more smoothly run competitions and way less drama. Or you can go here and deal with a long-haired runt in a mall-ninja uniform with a Napoleonic complex. The choice is yours.
