I have been coming to Brothers Bakery for many years. I enjoy their chicken salad sandwich and the pablano soup. The bread is very good and some of the morning pastries are good. I recommend either the kolaches or the ham and cheese croissant. I have never used them for sweets, so I cannt comment on that honestly. I would have given them twice the number of stars a few years ago, but the service and food consistancy have been increasingly worse every time I go in. This last visit was the worst. My clue should have been that it was a ghost town at 11:45am. The wait person appeared untrained, having to go ask the owner several times for help. The sandwich didn’t have any of side items that come with it and the soup didn’t have the roll that comes with it. Seems trivial but for $ 7 sandwich and $ 3 cup of soup, but when I returned to work, I expected what was listed on the menu to be in my to-go bag. This used to be me and my friends favorite lunch spot and I hope they can re-bound because they have potential to be be the best once again.

We waited over twenty minutes for soup and a grilled cheese sandwich when it the restaurant was empty. Asked twice for the correct item only to receive the order incorrect. The young lady at the cash register was very nice and apologetic but the owner/manager could not be more rude and inconsiderate.

We’ve had 8 or 10 cakes from from Brothers Bakery over the last few years, and they are always some of the best I’ve ever had. The Italian Cream(my favorite) is unbelievable, and the King’s Cake was a total shock… I honestly never thought a King’s Cake could be so yummy. But last week, really, was the Clam Chowder and Kolaches(particularly the Smoked Sausage and Cheese) that compelled me to write this review… super-duper-delicious. I’ve(We’ve) also had many of their breads, rolls and cookies. All of which are super-scrumptious, and never last very long around our house. I almost forgot(to some, most importantly)…“Brothers Barkery” dog treats… health conscious, local, tasty, 5 «Woofs» she says!

Stopped by for a quick light lunch and ordered the ½ California Turkey on White, with chicken tortilla soup. The sandwich wasnt bad, the avacado was left off by mistake, but it happens right. The bread was good, the service was good, i didnt care for the soup, but the roll that came with it was awesome. I might stop by and get a few in the future to take home. On another note, years ago Brothers did my wedding cake, It was beautiful and exactly how I wanted it.

WTF?!? I posted a review for this place, but it doesn’t show up! The sandwiches were as good as you can get. The duck breast panini was without a doubt the BEST sandwich I’ve ever eaten. The grilled portabella panini was also very good. Good portions, good value. Great pastries made with real butter for that excellent milk fat mouth-feel! Coffee was as good or better than any you can get in Austin. I did have a breakfast taco, and it was competent and reasonably priced, not huge but not tiny either. But who goes to a bakery and orders Mexican food(unless of course it’s a Mexican bakery, which this is not)? If you’re there for breakfast, skip the tacos and go for a croissant instead. Service speed was OK. They only have one register, so it does get a little backed up, but I’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes to get my food. I’m flabbergasted that this place has such low ratings on Unilocal.I’ve been there three times(once for breakfast and twice for lunch) and it was packed every time I’ve been. Definitely the best bang for the buck for breakfast or lunch in Marble Fall.

I can deal with mediocre service if the food is amazing, but when I have repeatedly scheduled appointments for cake tastings, for numerous high profile events, they have not arrived and there are no tasting samples available. When I call to schedule a follow up, not only do they no recall they had an appointment, they are very rude when told someone missed the appointment. Once I might understand being my scheduling error, but now it is the fourth time. It is a great local spot for sandwiches, but after this excessively poor service experience, they will not be getting any of my business or any of my recommendations for local hill country cakes. If you are looking for great service and great cakes in Marble Falls and Burnet, check out Lisa’s Cakery. She has been a pleasure to work with, and delivers on time and above expectations.

Good breakfast! Excellent thumbprint cookies. Some of the best coffee and wheat toast I’ve ever had. Try the mocha cappacinno.

Breakfast burritos were pretty damn Good! Hot Sauce not so much but to be honest I was surprised they offered any whatsoever. Croissants were Great but I didn’t try other pastries. And the Service was really Friendly!!!

we’ve been to this location a couple years ago and it was okay. this time, it was not. chicken tortilla soup was had a strange taste that upon reflection reminded me of salsa and water. breakfast burrito had eggs, a tiny bit of sausage, and some burnt bacon. i could go on, but i think you get the picture. i would suggest simplifying the menu and just concentrate on baked goods. i hate to rag on places, but this was miss after miss. fwiw, the kolaches looked okay, but i didn’t try any.
