My family of 5 rented a boat from Kayak the Colorado in August. It was so much fun to have the freedom to zip up and down the river. The kids loved every bit of it. It was a small challenge to put in a boat for the first time, but it was fairly straight forward. We had no problems. They included life jackets for the kids and adults. We kept lunch and drinks in the cooler they provided. There are beaches to pull off and explore, petroglyphs, fishing, swimming, and even a small waterfall to enjoy. Guided tours were on the river with large groups of people. Our youngest doesn’t meet the 4 year old age limit for their rafts, so rather than splitting the family up for the day we had a blast together on our own boat. I highly recommend this place. It was a no fuss DIY adventure just the way we like it.
