Was very responsive from the time I found him on craigslist. Only asked that I give him an hours notice to schedule an appointment and was available nearly anytime. Finally was able to get my seemingly ‘bricked’ HTC One Mini to him today and within a half hour he was back out with my phone good as new. The experience was a little funky, because you meet him at an apartment complex and wait in your car, but you can’t blame the guy he’s an entrepreneur being cost effective and passing the savings on to me! :)

Kye was great he put 4.1.2 Jelly Bean on my old and slow HTC sensation and it is lightning fast. He also unbricked my Samsung Galaxy S3 after I attempted to root it and I eventually failed. When I talked to him on the phone he said if I paid him(I think $ 40) to unbrick my phone, he’d throw in the root for free! Now I got what I eventually set out to do! Awesome guy, exceeded my expectations by far! Kye is the absolute best in the business and will not let you down. To me his prices are pretty reasonable and he won’t stop until he gets the job done. You got the cash, he’s got the skills! Great service he saved me with my GS3 and he won’t let you down either!

Almost everything the previous reviewer said was also accurate in my case. Almost. Kye was very professional; excellent communication, etc. I explained to him that I had recently tried to root my phone myself, but that it hadn’t worked entirely. The phone still functioned save for a few apps that would not run.(youtube and a few others, nothing major) I asked if he thought he could help and he said he probably could. I was thankful since he really seems to know what he’s talking about. I made the trip out to Kent from North Seattle, gave him the phone, and he went to work. Kye brought the phone back to me about 45 minutes later and explained that his first attempt to fix my problem had been unsuccessful, but that if I had ABOUTANOTHERHOUR, he would download a file that would allow him to unroot/restore my phone to stock, which would then allow him to attempt to root the device again. I agreed to this, thanked him, and told him I would return in an hour. That was the last I saw or heard of him. Calls and text messages that had been quickly returned before went unanswered. I returned to his apartment, called/texted again, still no response. Even went to his door and knocked. I could hear someone creeping around behind the door but there was no answer. I soon discovered that while the phone was not a total loss, multiple apps(google maps and other major apps that I used on a daily basis) would no longer open. My phone is now in worse shape than it was to begin with. In all honesty, this is likely my fault, since initially I had tried to root the phone myself. I’m open to the possibility that my actions set Kye up for failure. But what’s far more upsetting is the fact that he told me to WAITAROUNDFORANHOURBEFOREDISAPPEARING! Instead of saying«hey man listen, there’s nothing I can do for your device after the mistakes you made trying to root it yourself. There are inherent risks in trying to root any device,» blah blah blah. This lack of professionalism was a) RUDE, b) a terrible waste of my time, c) unnecessary, and d) says something about the integrity of the«company» in question. I doubt Kye is operating a legitimate business, and could find himself in trouble with the IRS or others soon enough. If you don’t foresee any issues I’m sure your experience will be different from mine, but consider making him your second or third choice. I ripped up the multiple business cards he gave me as I certainly do not intent to refer him to any of my friends.

The business owner, Kyle has excellent communication skills. He returned my voice mail promptly. He was both courteous and enthusiastic. He texted his address to my phone allowing me to use the maps app on my phone to find his location. He said it would take about 25 minutes to upgrade my HP Touchpad to dual-boot with Android. I think it took closer to 20. He brought the upgraded Touchpad out to where I was waiting in the car, and showed how to unlock the screen, and where the Google Play Store application was. The cost of the upgrade was reasonable. I very much recommend his service. Tim Tacoma, WA
