Himitsu Teriyaki Restaurant

Best in Seattle area. Portions are big. Steak is tender and moist and not overly salty. Its a shame I move away from Maple Valley. I do stop by though on my way home from playing golf at Druids Glenn.

I desperately wanted teriyaki on a Sunday and this was the closest to me at the time. I always order spicy chicken and theirs was regular chicken teriyaki with chili sauce poured over it. I could’ve done that myself and saved the extra $. I don’t live close by, so luckily I don’t have to resort in coming here again.

My go-​to place when I’m home… and there are TONS of options for teriyaki in the Maple Valley area. The staff is always extra friendly and I actually like eating in the restaurant here. They do have a TV in the restaurant and they offer brown rice, chicken breast, and other non-​teriyaki options that are solid. Go!

This was my second time to this place. First time we got teriyaki and chicken Katsu. The teriyaki was mediocre at best which made the Katsu amazing in comparison. We just got the Katsu again last night and it looked and like leftovers that had been fried again to heat them up (cut edge was dry and brown). Bottom line– for 30−50% dollars more than neighboring teriyaki places I expect more than grocery store quality.

This is, by far, the best teriyaki I’ve had. I came across this little restaurant after spending the day at Snoqualmie falls and needed to get gas. We were first thinking about the sports bar next door, but my girlfriend wasn’t in the mood for loud music. I’m glad that happened because this place is wonderful. It’s sort of small, but that just adds to the charm. I definitely recommend eating here.

Chicken was dry not alot of flavor and they are way over priced. Cant find good teriyaki in the area

I love the smoky taste of their teriyaki chicken. The teriyaki sauce is delicious, and the salad dressing has a sweet tangy flavor. My kid loves getting this to go after his tball game. Better this than fried fast food dishes!

We were out in the wilds — Maple Valley — and stopped for a dinner. The place was empty at 6PM on a Sunday Night and we were a little concerned.
Surprisingly — all the meals were good. I split the Teriyaki (pork) with my wife and enjoyed it. The price was not bad but I have had slightly bigger servings. I also had the Wanton Soup that was OK — a little bland. Everyone else also enjoyed what they received.
Service was OK — fast food quality not dine in — which is probably why they have a large take out business. The atmosphere also is OK — small place with the counter person watching over you.
I would come back if in the neighborhood.

Consistently great food and the service is great. They are the kindest people every time I walk in to get my order. Food is always ready when they say it will be and is always fresh and smokin’ hot.

Love this teriyaki place! Their chicken teriyaki is delicious, only complaint I have is they are a bit heavy on the sauce but their sauce is delicious so it’s not a huge complaint! I’ve only done take-​out but the service is fast, generally I call ahead to have it ready when I get there. The staff is very friendly and makes small talk with you while you check-​out. Would absolutely recommend!

Always hard to find a good place for Katsu and this place is definitely one of my top 5. Great food and customer service!

The food is good, but the service is terrible. I was ordering over the phone and wanted to know what their soup broth was for ramen, «chicken or pork?» And the gentleman over the phone did not know and asked the lady, whom I believe owns the place, «what is the broth for ramen?» She said it is a «soy base», he then repeated it to me. I said, «never mind.» Because that was what I was hoping to order, so I took an extra 30 SECONDS. I also accidentally got gyoza and Katsu mixed up… after he repeated my order to me, he asked if I knew «where the place was», I said «Yes.» He then goes on to say, «Good, because you were really confused about the menu». Are you kidding me?! Unless they find someone to replace this guy, who clearly is rude and unprofessional or he changes himself. We have been in 3 other times and it’s the same attitude. Done.

They say «the secret is in the recipe» and its true. The teriyaki sauce is delicious and I’m addicted to the little salad that comes with a combo. Very good and very fresh.

Stopped by to try Himitsu Teriyaki last night. WOW! Was it yummy! We got an order of gyoza, the chicken teriyaki/​yakisoba combo, and chicken and broccoli stirfry. My favorite was the gyoza and the chicken teriyaki. The gyoza was crispy on the edges and soft in the middle — just the way I like it! The teriyaki was moist and tender. The owner is very nice. I talked with her for a few minutes while I was waiting for the food. She was very personable and friendly. New favorite!!!

5 star teriyaki restaurant for sure! Food is amazing and so is the service. I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves teriyaki. I got chicken and chicken Katsu combo. It was delicious. Please go try it!

Love himitsu! The staff are always very friendly. The food is awesome here. But my favorite will always be the salad. I love the dressing they put on it.

My favorite Teriyaki place hands down! Love the food, and the salad dressing. The large spicy teriyaki is large enough to share with a friend. I am glad that this is in Maple Valley!

Himitsu is my favorite place for teriyaki! I’ve tried it all; classic chicken teriyaki, sweet and sour chicken, broccoli stir-​fry, gyoza, etc. No matter what you order, you are guaranteed a tasty meal. The owners and staff are the nicest, most friendly people and they always give me a warm welcome when I stop in. Next time you’re craving teriyaki, give them a try!

This is definitely my favorite teriyaki restaurant that I’ve been to so far. I’ve been to many and I always seem to compare other restaurants to this one.
The interior design is not bad, it has a nice, quaint feel to it and the owners are very friendly and make you feel comfortable walking in. I used to know the old owners and they were lovely people who were really friendly as well so I’m glad they traded over the business to some good people who didn’t ruin the food or the establishment. The pricing is not bad, sometimes it seems a little bit expensive, but the food is good so it’s worth it.
I tend to base a teriyaki restaurant on three things
1. The teriyaki sauce
2. The salad dressing
3. The décor
I really like the homey feel that these restaurants have and this one is just very comfortable.
The teriyaki sauce is delicious and has the perfect sweet taste that I like. The salad dressing is my favorite, I love love love their salad dressing here. It’s that perfect sweet taste that I really enjoy.
Overall, this is a place that I come back to often. I don’t live in Maple Valley anymore, but whenever I’m in the area, I always like to stop by and pick up some food.
They have a good variety of food ranging from teriyaki, fried rice, stir fry, bento boxes, soup, ramen, good appetizer choices, katsu, etc. I enjoy trying new things off their menu and every item I’ve tried, I’ve never been disappointed with. ^~^
