I was only ever in Iron Hill once and I think that says enough. The atmosphere was better than the food. Now, I’m all for a good vibe and a nice looking place to enjoy a good meal, but the operative words here are«enjoy a good meal» … and I didn’t find that here at Iron Hill. It wasn’t horrible, but it was mediocre. BLEH!

Very very disappointed with the service and food. I’ve been here 2 times before going with my 3 grown children for Father’s day and both times were fantastic. This time however was a total mess. First, i arrived 5 minutes later than my children and when i gave the hostess my name she said«oh yea, they are back there on the left somewhere». Second, it was our server, Joe, first week on the floor. Oh, boy. 3 times Joe excused himself to find if they had a certain beer, if any root beer was left and then came back to inform my son there was no more porterhouse left. And finally my platter came about 5 minutes after my 3 children had thiers. And this past i blame myself somewhat. I always cut my ribeye in the middle to be sure it is medium rare, but this time i started cutting from the outside and eating as i went along. When i got to the center it was bloody red far from cooked. My daughter wanted me to return it, but i decided to take it home to my dog. By then i was ready to get the hell out of there.

Had my daughter’s 21’st birthday here. Staff was very helpful and the food was great. Tried a selection of beer also. Love the atmosphere and will be back with my husband for a date night. The parking lot fills up and drove around a couple of times for a closer spot because it was raining.

They took the chorizo off of the Nachos after years. And still charge the same price! What a joke! They said they had so many customer requests to remove the chorizo that is why they had to make the decision. For 16.00, what a rip off and to blame it on the customer and not even lower the price for removing meat. Thank god we have yard house now

The food is much better than I expected for a micro — brewery. The selection of beer is worth the trip. Make sure that each time you go you get the seasonal selections.

Though regarded well by many, I have never had adequate service at iron hill. Because busy or really don’t care since they are busy, you can sit for up to 15 minutes as we did and not even looked at or acknowledged. We left and will not be back.

Tonight was the second time my boyfriend and I have been to Iron Hill Brewery and we are going to make it our regular date night spot. Not only is the food amazing, but it’s fun to have so many choices of beer in front of us. Our server, Brian, was extremely knowledgeable in the beer on draft and even help pick what our next one should be based on what my boyfriend had initially ordered and his own personal taste. We really appreciated him taking his time in letting us know the different types of beers he thought we would enjoy and to look out for next week. We can’t wait to go back!

I have been to this Iron Hill location a few times but I have never left a review. My daughter and I were there last night so this is as good as any time to finally review Iron Hill. The inside of the restaurant is spacious and it has a comfortable Arts & Crafts décor. We are always given a booth for some reason but that is all good. The service has always been attentive and I like the selection of beers they have from the in house brewery. Last night I had a white IPA and it had some nice flavors. I have usually tried Iron Hill’s specials and also their healthy selections. The quality of the food has been pretty good over the years especially for a small chain. I do feel Iron Hill is a bit over priced. We split the salad special and I was in the mood for a burger and went with the basic Cheeseburger. I had heard Iron Hill’s burgers were good and this one certainly was. The bun was a Brioche type, the burger was good size and tasted great, and the fries were pretty good also. For dessert we shared the apple crisp with ice cream. A solid 3.5 stars for Iron Hill and decent choice for an upscale bar food/brew pub in a relaxed and comfortable setting.

By far the best overall restaurant experience in the area. Menu is pizza, burgers, and other American favorites. Beer is fantastic and brewed on the premises. Atmosphere is lively but not oppressive, quiet enough to hold a conversation. Clientele is mostly young professionals. There are plenty of similar places nearby, but it’s the outstanding service, so rare nowadays, that makes Iron Hill the best. Servers often remember you by name if you’ve been in before. Gabe is about the friendliest and most attentive server I’ve ever had anywhere, a pleasure to interact with. Manager Jeff often checks in just to make sure everything is ok. It’s unusual for servers to be so personable and professional. Skip everywhere else and come here first.

Sunday night. 10 min wait but had reservations. Server didn’t offer appetizers, undercooked floppy pale breadsticks were brought out about 15 min later. Party of 4, 2⁄4 had filet mignon, 1 had crab cakes, 1 had beef medallions. The filets were both ordered med. rare. They came out barely rare with cool center. Crab cakes were great, beef medallions were ordered medium, both were well done. One filet order sent back, we were visited by manager who was very nice and offered another steak for me, which I declined. He offered some soup to take home(?). 2nd steak came about 15 min later– just as undercooked as the first despite it looking ok when cut it in front of the mgr. They comp’d it. Server brought the bill w/out asking if we wanted dessert or coffee. Drink refills weren’t offered. I won’t be back. It took 2 hrs for dinner.

Tonight we were in the area and stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner. We’ve always wanted to try Iron hill, glad we did. We started with the roasted beets, they were delicious! They had sliced almonds and nice chunks of goat cheese. Yum! We also ordered some wing, I like to think of myself as a wing aficionado. They only offer 2 sauces buffalo and chipotle. The waitress recommended the buffalo so we went with that. The wings were large and cooked well, I do like them a bit more crispy. My biggest problem was the lack of sauce. I wish they were sauced a bit more. For entrees my wife haste chicken lettuce wraps. She didn’t have a single complaint! She loved them. I went with a burger, the smokehouse burger. Now it was just okay. First I swapped turkey for beef, it was a bit over cooked. I ordered medium, came almost well, not a big deal whatever. Nice brioche bun but it wasn’t toasted, thankfully it was fresh. I assumed it would come toasted considering that’s what most places do. The BBQ onions barley had a taste but the Gouda and jalapeño were spot on. The bacon wasn’t good, cold and skimpy. Paying $ 17.00 for a burger, should have more than 2 slices of bacon. It wasn’t the best or worst burger I’ve ever had. I ordered the sweet potato fries and they were delicious! Probably the best I’ve ever had, fresh cut not that frozen junk. The slaw was also house made and very good. We will give this place another shot. The food was good, not great but good. The menu is a nice size without being overwhelming. They do offer vegetarian options. Next time we will try beers as well. Food is a bit pricey, the service was excellent. Wish they had a few televisions in the dining area to watch the games. Solid 4 stars, but we will be back.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner on a Sunday night, and when we got there the place was packed. Luckily we found a table in the self seating section by the bar. Our server’s name was Steve, he was very attentive(without being annoying) and our food was wonderful. My boyfriend had the mustard seed crusted salmon which he loved, and I had the Nantucket scallops with mushroom risotto(which was wonderful). We started with calamari and a few house beers. My boyfriend had the witberry and Vienna red lager. I had the white IPA and house ipa, we ended the meal with the banana bread pudding which Steve highly recommended. I ended the meal with a grapefruit Lolita. All in all we had an amazing experience. I’m hard to please because I’m in the industry, but Steve did an amazing job and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. I would recommend Iron Hill in Maple Shade to my best of friends.

Cherry hill new lersey Very good food, and big selection from burgers to hot meals. It is a real brewery, very interesting, that have a sample small beer tray you can get. They are known for beer variety which is huge, every different beer that you never heard of.

A pretty nice Iron Hill location with plenty of space and friendly service. Their static beer menu is not really my favorite but I do love some of their seasonal beers. Right now they have the Rising Sun IPA with a fruity kick to it(not as much as Blue Moon or anything) that I love. Besides the beer, the food menu is huge and has something for everyone. Their mussels are my favorite! But everything is pretty good and you can’t go wrong. Even the late night menu is larger than most places. We stopped in around 11pm and there were appetizers, flatbreads, pizzas and more to choose from. I love this place for a quick drink at the bar with a low-key vibe with sports game on but better ambiance and food than an average sports bar.

Never disappoints. All of the iron hill locations serve superb beer and food. There are some menu items that I think meet but dont necessarily exceed expectations, hence the four stars. I think given the volume they accommodate on a given restaurant night, a small trade-off in the quality of each plate has to take a necessary sacrifice to keep up with demand. Tonight, we tried several things we’ve never had. The seared Ahi tuna salad was particularly tasty. Two nicely sized portions of a nice cut of of seared tuna, atop darher greens with a light ginger-sesame vinaigrette dressing, Mandarin oranges, and sliced avocado. Was refreshing and nicely portioned. The cheesesteak egg rolls were extra crispy but I wanted a little more cheese. Nice creamy sauce to dip in. Their beer is constantly changing, and rarely disappoints. Samplers include four standard sized pours. Pro-tip: call ahead and put your name on the waitlist to get seated right away when you get in.

If this were closer to my house, it would be my favorite hang. While you would think this would more like a biker bar, the clientele seemed much more diverse. Young, old, bikers, business folks, families and couples. There was quite a wait for a table so my wife and I found a couple of seats at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and attentive — -even as busy as it was for a Friday evening. Happy Hour is the best time! Discounts on appetizers and drinks. Their beer list seems never ending. I started out with the Russian Stout, but then switched over to the Rising Sun. My wife started out with the Belgian Pale Ale, but switched over to the sampler flight. We were pretty hungry and didn’t know when to stop with the appetizers which became our dinner. First out was the fried brussels sprouts. Nicely seasoned with some light salt and quite tasty. Next we had the nachos which my wife mainly consumed. As the happy hour bar special, it wasn’t as large as the standard nachos. Still had plenty of salsa and cheese. And finally to top it all off, we had the plain bar pizza which was enough for 3 people. Fun time, fun place. We’ll be back soon.

Service, food, and beer were delectable! I strongly encourage everyone to come here and try their fare! To start, our server was prompt, observant, and witty– my favorite attributes in a server. He never missed an empty water glass or plate. They have essentially a create-your-own sampler as well. It is listed as 4 on the menu but they can customize the amount ala carte pricing. I was impressed with the variety of beers they offer and the fact that all of them were decent quality. Definitely get the cheesesteak egg roll appetizer! I cannot describe with words who tasty it was!

Stopped in for some dinner with the wife and son. We sat in the Seat yourself area near the bar. We were immediately waited on. Got some beers(Pig Iron Porter for me) and ordered the Cheesesteak Egg Rolls — $ 11.95 fried onions, american cheese, matchstick potatoes, ketchup and horseradish sauce for an appetizer. Very good. I ordered the Brewski Burger* — $ 13.50 lettuce, tomato, mushrooms, bacon and choice of american, sharp cheddar or swiss. Cooked to my specs(well done). Very good and it was extremely filling. Service was good Food was good Beer was good A little $$ but our outing was very pleasant. We will come back to try some fall seasonable brews.

We came to Iron Hill to have a late lunch and a few good celebration beers. First, this is one LARGE restaurant. The bar area is huge and can definitely accommodate a crowd. We didn’t even get to the back restaurant area, but did notice others sitting there. The décor is well done, with an open kitchen and the future and current tap list prominently displayed. Yes, there are a few tvs but I am not sure this is your game day destination as the tvs seemed too high to see from the bar and too awkward to see from the booths. Service was great and our waitress was patient and friendly. She took time to explain that if we wanted a 2 oz. sample before committing to a $ 7 pint, it is not a problem. I tried a flight of a few different beers(a stout, a belgian style ale, a porter, and a wheat/weiss beer) and enjoyed it. We split the calamari app, $ 10, for a small, really small amount of calamari, with some peppers and string beans mixed in. Not worth it, sorry. The other couple we were with each had a small taco plate, 1 good taco on a plate. It looked delicious, and if you wanted a tapas style option this is good. They said the tacos were really good. I split a chicken pot pie with the husband, the waitress was kind enough to have the kitchen serve it in two different bowls. Nice touch. The pot pie was really good. Everything seemed slightly overpriced though for what it was, especially the calamari. We were a bit surprised at the bill total, prices are a bit high for the experience, but a decent place for a good beer and good food if you don’t mind slightly overpaying for a small local chain.

My wife and I decided to stop in for dinner tonight. Our waitress was friendly, and knowledgeable on the beer and specials. We had the Salmon Spring Rolls as an appetizer. I tried the Iron Hill light Ale beer, very good. I tried the Belgian Blond Ale too, it was a good beer also. It was a seasonal special. My wife had the Fish-n-Chips. I had the cheeseburger with french fries. Our meals were very tasty. We made reservations; however it was not too crowded in the restaurant. I would suggest making reservations to be safe.

3.5 but I’ll round up. I’ve been here quite a few times, sometimes for lunch, others for happy hours at work. I love the idea of Iron Hill and the awesome selection of different brews that they have to offer. The food here is also pretty quirky but there’s quite a selection. I’ve ordered their cheese plate appetizer that had quite a nice spread of cheese and side dishes. Their soups and burgers are not bad at all and portions are quite generous. For happy hour, I’ve tried their bruschetta and it was wonderful — fresh and delicious! All in all, I like to hang out here and it’s a popular hang out spot. I would normally complain that their prices are a tad high but I cannot complain about their happy hour prices — they’re on point! $ 2 off house brews and $ 4/$ 6 huge plates of food; cannot complain. They get major brownie points on that. The waiters here are also very attentive and know their stuff.

Previous review was for apps, which I was happy with. I came in for a full dining experience and it was just alright. Calamari was okay, little more chewy than it should be. Mushrooms with brie were overpowered with the balsamic syrup, couldn’t even taste the brie. I enjoyed the soup trio. Chili rubbed steak and bbq ribs were good, tasted better the next day even. Apple crisp was ok and bread pudding was drowning in sauce, although still tasted good. Beer sampler was cool. I would recommend it. Our waitress was spot on. Very attentive, corky and sweet.
