I’m totally disappointed from Tony Luke’s here. My cheesesteak had no seasoning at all. It’s like they just took the meat and threw it on the thick bread. Wasn’t any flavor at all. I tried to add my own salt and pepper and it still didn’t do anything. The only reason I’m giving them two stars because the French fries are awesome… Other than that… This place stinks! D– in my book

I should have read the reviews before going here. I pass«Tony Luke’s» on the regular SAT mornings around 12:30. So I decided to Stop in for the first time ready to have a delicious war in my mouth from a nice philly cheese steak. NOT!!!

Ok food. Been craving cheesesteak hoagie for almost a week now. Tonight, had the opportunity to address that craving. Cheesesteak was different. Not chopped but whole steak. It was ok, but I can name a few other local places that get the cheesesteak hoagie right. Great restaurant, great locale. I’m sure I’ll come back and try other items on the menu.

Excellent authentic pork sandwich made just the way we ordered it! Good roll!!! However – could not figure out why it took so long to prepare? But – worth the wait!

Solid cheesesteak, the best in town. Maybe not the fanciest location, but the food speaks for itself.

What a waste of time and money! Waited at least 5 minutes to place my order and 25 more to get my food. Yes, 25 minutes for a barely warm tough«cheese» steak. Where was the cheese? Virtually non existent. Fries were hot, the cheese sauce wasn’t even close to warm. The employees there could have cared less about what they were there to do — serve a hit sandwich to your customers! Severely disappointed!

Ugh I ignored all the bad reviews and went anyway because I heard the sandwiches are good. I got a pork sandwich and French fries to go. When I got home the fries seemed like they were overcooked 6 hours ago and sat out all day, not fresh at all. Sandwich was average at best. $ 15.27 poorly spent. Will not be going back.

These fools close whenever they want. Change the hours of operation on here if you’re not gonna be open till 2 am. It’s not even 1am yet.

Came back a year after my first review, and the quality has seemed to slip a bit. The cheesesteak seemed to be a little low on the cheese part. Still good, but not what I remember from my last visit, or from the flagship place on Oregon Ave in Philly.

First, I love cheesesteaks and am always on the hunt for a great cheesesteak place. Today I stopped in at Tony Luke’s in Mt Laurel(in Laurel Lanes). I can honestly say it was the worst cheesesteak I have had in quite a while. It might as well have been steak-ums on a roll. Sad news is I bought one for lunch and two to bring home to my kids. Their feeling was the same. Sad to think it could be so blahhhhh plain bad

Tony Luke should be ashamed of himself, putting out that crap, You know that sound of the metal hitting the grill as the sliced steak is chopped up to make that really great cheese steak? You won’t hear it here. The meat was either pre-cooked and/or steamed. It was in this neat little rectangle package stuck in a small piece of a baggett. I ordered a cheese steak hoagie. After waiting about 10 min, I was given my order. When I opened the package I find a plain steak with cheese. I take it back to the non-caring girl behind the counter. She tells the girl in the«cooking» area that it should have been a steak hoagie and asks her what to do with the wrong order. She asks me if I want it. NO! I want what I ordered. Took about 5 min to get my order as the girl in the«cooking» area did other chores. What does that tell you? You can get a real steak almost anywhere in South Jersey. TONY!!! AREYOUREADINGTHIS??? Hang your head in shame. PS: Years ago, Pat’s tried to branch out to New Jersey. They failed too.

Meh. Seemingly American standards of food is dwindling. My mouth is burning from salt or pepper or something from seasonings of the roast pork /provolone/broccoli rabe on a soft roll. Happy to even see anything green at a fast food place, and spinach was another option. Otherwise it would be a great sandwich. The french fries are fresh/hot/made to order. Service is friendly. Seating is part of bar area with sports on large TVs. Water or soda is only option for beverages. I would come back :) The parking lot has entry only and exit only as a heads up!

My first and more than likely my last time going here because they want a lot of money with that little portion of a sandwich. So it was a late night food run for my boyfriend and I and we found them on Unilocal and they have 2 choices of sandwich; junior and tradition. I got a junior because it was late and I didn’t want to eat too much and my boyfriend got traditional, well I couldn’t tell the difference between the two. They both looked like half a cheesesteak and I was very irritated because if it wasn’t for the chips we had, we would of still been hungry. If I went to a bodega or corner store in Camden, I’d get not only a bigger sandwich but a smaller price and better taste… I only gave them 3 stars because I like the bowling alley they next to and they open late…

This place is great. I’m not sure about these other people saying you hardly get any meat and that it’s steakums, because we’ve been a few times and of course got a lot of meat. I’m suspecting that these people are from competitor restaurants. We did have an issue once but it was quickly made right. Good food. Cool people.

Ordered 2 sandwhiches and large fries last night at 730 pm. The whole experience was not what i expected from a well known establishment as tony lukes. First the staff was more worried what was going on with their cell phones but instead greeted me with no friendliness or enthusiasm what so ever. Then when i get the food home my wife and i each were very frustrated with the quality. Very bland sandwiches and we even had long hots on them. For the 27 dollars i spent i could of easily called Sopranos pizza joint and had it delivered and probably would tasted better. I’m an old time fan of tony lukes but i won’t be going back unless it is the one in South Philly

All I can say is wow, I have been to their original stand in philly and yes it was good their but this location in maple shade is hands down better, and here’s why, yes the original stand in Philly is good but I am the type of person that does not like crowds at restaurants or fast food chains, so anytime I’ve been to the location in Philly theirs always long lines and nowhere to sit, so I was in the area the other day(Saturday) so I passed by this tony Luke’s in the past so I decided to give it a shot, when you walk in they share their space with a pub, but after I walked in it was empty I walked rite up placed a order sat down and ate and did not have to worry about crowds, the cheese steaks were amazing so good I went back up and ordered some to take back to New York, this tony Luke’s location could get 10 stars if I could choose that.

If you want the worst cheese steak around, come on down to Tony Luke’s in Maple Shade. I used to complain about how average Pat’s and Geno’s were, but god damn if Tony’s isn’t the worst ever. Maybe the original is good(never been there) but this place is god awful. 0 for flavor, couldn’t even taste the meat or cheese. 0 for abundance, it was like a couple of steak um’s but even steak um’s have flavor. Fries were good but how could you screw them up. All hype, I can get better cheese steaks at 20 different places in the area for $ 3 less.

Haven’t eaten at Tony Luke’s since returning to the area. As I driving today, I saw this location and decided to give it a try. The place was empty, just a couple of people waiting for orders. I get my usual chicken cheesesteak wit provolone and onions. What they serve here is not the size or taste as I would get in Philly(at the Or Ave or CBP location). First the size, they served it on a skinny baguette and not the usual hoagie bread. Next the taste, or should I say lack of taste. It was so tasteless, that I had to put salt & pepper on it. So for $ 11 and some change, for a tasteless and scale down version of a cheesesteak and a med drink is not worth a return visit. Next time I want TL’s, I’ll just have to make the journey to Philly. ***that is the down side of have an original classic spot being branched out to different locations, they can’t replicated the quality and quantity usually goes down***

I gave this Tony Luke’s location two stars because, well honestly it wasn’t the WORST cheese steak i’ve ever had but it was pretty bad. Maybe I’m being a little biased since we are use to the South Philly location… But if Tony Luke himself was served what I was served, he would probably shut this location down on the spot. I’m use to a traditional Tony Luke’s cheese steak being the size of my head. This was about the size of a WaWa shortie. My husband brought them home and I looked in the bag and literally said«What the hell is this? Where is yours?» because i thought maybe they had cut it in half and wrapped them separately. Maybe they got the order wrong and gave us the smaller version? Either way I’m still pissed because we paid for the traditional size. They are not exactly cheap at 9 bucks each for the sandwich alone.(not including drinks or tax.) The disappointment didn’t stop there unfortunately. There was maybe 2 slices of steak on my sandwich. The reason I like Tony Luke’s over all the other«cheese steak kings» in Philly is because of their choice of steak. It’s real meat instead of chopped up bits of who knows what. So the fact that the steak was DRY and utterly lacking was just… disappointing. Then there was the ketchup. I guess they figured they could drown it in ketchup to make up for the bread being stale? I don’t know. I even waited a few days to write this review hoping that my view would change I guess. It’s heartbreaking to write a BAD review for a Tony Luke’s location, but this was just horrible. I guess we will just have to keep stopping by the Oregon Ave location when we’re in the city. And seriously, if you don’t believe my review and/or think that it was a fluke that it was so bad, just take a look at the pics for this location, and compare them to the pics for the Oregon Ave. location. It doesn’t even compare! :(

Service was great! Food was uck! There was no meat in my cheese stk, it was all roll and it was dry! Roll was good! !!! Pork and sharp prov. sandwich meat portion was good needed more cheese to kill the after taste of pork! The pizza spots around here have better sandwiches!
