I’ve driven by a few times and was delighted that I could buy chicken breasts locally. It’s just a tiny house(shed, really) on the side of the road(rt. 38) in front of their house where they have freezers of meat. The girl working the stand said that her husband and brother bring the meat to the Hinckley/Huntley(she wasn’t sure) market and Batavia market. I honestly didn’t know that there were still farmers markets open in December. So that is why there was only 1 package of chicken breasts there. They usually have various cuts of beef, pork, lamb, chicken, turkey, etc. They also sell honey and eggs among various other products. I haven’t opened the package yet, but I believe we got 2 large chicken breasts(bone-in) for $ 5. Which is a really great deal for local meats. They’re open 9 – 2 on Saturdays only. She said that it’s best to come back after 1:30 pm because that’s when the guys get back from the market… and that’s when there will be more chicken breasts. So 1:30 pm it is, next time we go!
