Would be a 5 star review for the food. Lisa, the waitress is amazing and the service out of the world. However, the coffee was HORRIBLE! A restuarant with an emphasis on fine bakery products should have decent coffee. Come on!

We come to Patrick’s all the time, they have such amazing food and service! Lisa, our server tonight, was one of the best servers we’ve ever had! I had the Tuna Tartare, the Sea Bass, and a raspberry soaked chocolate cake, all of which were fantastic.

My hubby and I visited Patrick’s for a late dinner. It was great! My hubby ordered the lamb chops and I had the bbq chicken flatbread pizza. The food was delicious. Every time we’ve eaten here the food has been on point. Service was great as well. Kudos to Lisa! Consistently good food and great service makes a great combination to keep coming back

Ordered the beef bourguignon. What I was served more closely resembled Minnesota goulash. Blech. $ 19 for a big bowl of bland tomato hot dish with dry beef bits. My husband’s Sea Breeze salad would have been expected at a cheap neighborhood diner. A big pile of crab egg salad and a few shrimp atop a tiny pile of greens. Service was not warm and friendly but was attentive.

My family and I had a great meal tonight. It had been a long time since we last ate at Patrick’s, and I had forgotten what a gem we have in Maple Grove. Very good cappucinno. I ordered a burger and it was perfect… simple and delicious. Avocado on it was so fresh. I liked how the chef took the time and care to make sure the presentation was so appealing. Shoestring fries… golden, perfectly seasoned, and easily devoured! Our server, Lisa, was nice and helpful. The bread and butter was pretty darnn sublime. To me, there is nothing more beautiful and lovely than fresh, warm bread slathered in butter. Frankly, just that and the coffee and I’m a happy camper. It’s nice to know that Patrick’s is there as an alternative… a delicious change from the same old sports bars, gross buffets, and souless corporate manufactured fare for the masses. The chefs at Patrick’s have something better to offer you. Fresh. Real food. Poetic simpicity. Hell, go there for a coffee and pastry. You won’t be disappointed. I wasn’t. I’ll be going back. Cheers

Stopped here for Mother’s Day, sign said they had crab cakes, ordered them, told me that it wasn’t part of the lunch menu… My wife ordered French toast and scrambled eggs, got them, came out cold.

Horrible service from the host at the front. Good was mediocre and over all nothing special about this place. Drinks were weak and the host tossed the cutlery at us. Unacceptable. Never going back again.

Stopped in for a late breakfast. It’s very cute and clean and the almond croissant was to die for! I had the eggs Benedict and it was delicious. I will come back!

I’m extremely disappointed in my visit. I came here for lunch with my hubby and three of our kids. We were acknowledged and seated immediately. Our beverage orders were screwed up, however that’s not a deal breaker. It happens. Looking at the menu I really had wished they were more descriptive with their items. For instance, our son ordered a bowl of chili(which is all it said on the menu). It was not a regular chili. It had chicken and was not your typical straight tomato based stew or soup. It was different. I could t decide if I liked it or not, none of us could. But we all agreed it wasn’t an item we would order again. My husband ordered this sandwich that had ham, cheese on the outside and an egg. We expected a glorified hot ham n cheese with an egg on top. It was a ham sandwich(with not very much meat) and a little cheese melted on top. The egg however he said was perfectly done which is a compliment from him. He said the sandwich was dense with little flavor. My kids shared the mini burgers and fries. We all agreed the shoestring style fries were fantastic. The burgers weren’t very good. My son is a cheeseburger fanatic and he only had two bites. The winner of the kids meal was a nice sized bowl of fresh fruit. Raspberries, blackberries and strawberries. All tasted phenomenal. She ate he whole thing! I had a bacon cheeseburger. I added the bacon, tomato and lettuce to my burger for additional fees.(Which was fine until when my kids’ burger came out their lettuce and tomato came with theirs. So why not mine…) Now I’m a sucker for a good burger. But this was not good. At all. Very flavorless. Was not impressed. All in all none of us were impressed with our meals. Which doesn’t make me want to really go back again. If I were to go back it would be for the bakery and deserts. I will say also that it was a very clean restaurant.

This used to be a favorite of ours. We’d come here about once every other week for a nice dinner but I think it’s officially off of our rotation now. The last couple of times we’ve gone there the staff seem to be uninformed, uninterested and just bad. The menu seems to have gone through some changes so my favorites no longer exist. It’s too bad they seem to have gone off track a bit.

Breakfast, lunch or dinner — it doesn’t matter. Patrick’s is a winner. Just want a glass of wine before a movie at the AMC across the street, ok! Patrick’s makes French food and the art of French dining, relaxed and fun, approachable and at home in the suburbs.

My mom and I have been avid fans of the Richfield location… so was really excited to try the one in Maple Grove, which is definitely a closer one to us… and we were just in the Maple Grove area yesterday… what a perfect chance to try it out! My mom and I shared the tomato and asparagus quiche and the tiramisu… and we both got coffee… it was so, so good and just perfect! The service was top notch as well!

Been visiting Patrick’s French Bakery in Richfield for years. Finest bakery café in the upper Midwest. Recently, I visited the Maple Grove location. I wasn’t surprised to see Patrick Bernet’s signature of perfection, attention to detail, and cleanliness. His menu is diverse, executed to perfection. Truly one of the best values in the Twin Cities!

Almost didn’t go because I saw so many mediocre reviews on Unilocal. However, it is so close to the movie theatre, and the menu looked good, so we gave it a try. Plus, we used to go to the one in Wayzata that closed, and liked the food there. It was Friday night at about 6:15, and the place was hoppin’. We were pleased to see that they kept the pizza oven from California Pizza Kitchen. As soon as we sat down, we told the waitress we were in a hurry, had to get to a movie. She was totally cool with that and said, ok let’s get everything going. We got the chopped salad and the brie flatbread to share, along with a cocktail each and a glass of wine. Very good bread and butter arrived right after we ordered. The wine and cocktails came at the same time, which was fine with our time frame, and the salad was out quickly. Salad was very good, just the right amount of dressing. Corn was a nice touch. The brie pizza was quite good too, with bacon, how could it not be? We got the check as soon as the pizza came, were paid up and had a box for leftovers ready to go. We made the movie, and decided to join Unilocal to write a review that we believed this place deserved. Will go back and try some of the fancier items.

Patrick’s is my favorite restaurant. I always go to their Edina branch, when I happen to be in arbor lakes, of course I have to stop by here. I came here with my family for brunch. There was no one to sit us, so we helped ourselves. My mom wanted to have quiche and I got sandwich and steak salad, we also ordered 3 cakes. They brought the cakes first, 5 mins later my coffee arrives somewhat cold and after full 15 mins later we got the quiche and salad. What kind of order is that? While waiting that long we ate the cakes and was full because of all the sugar. I was extremely disappointed with the service. I didn’t get my usual dinner items such as sea bass or scallop, we ordered quiche which could have been heated up in a minute or less. I have never been this disappointed at Patrick’s. I’ve been to this location 6 times before and it is usually better than this, but this location is much inferior to their Edina branch both in terms of quality of food and service. Steak salad: i asked to have the sauce on the side and never actually used it. If you don’t get it separate, this salad is very soggy and drenched in sauce. Meat tastes good though. Quiche: I like their quiche in general and this time we had tomato and asparagus one. Was good. Sandwich was okay. Coffee: I truly enjoy their coffee, they make it good. Passion cake: my favorite. Always good!!! Chocolate éclair: was good. Better than any other place I had éclair in all of Minnesota. In short, my conclusion after this trip is, their food is good, chefs are doing their job well, they need to improve their service. Bringing the cake first then the coffee and finally the actual food is just wrong.

Dishonest GM from Maple Grove branch. On Sept 20th I order two meals to go. One of which was the most expensive item on the menu: Grilled center cut Filet Mignon with Shrimp — $ 28.00 6 oz filet mignon and a skewer of shrimp served with a bernaise sauce, potatoes galette and a side of sautéed seasonal vegetables When I got home, I found a tiny meal with tiny portions. Please see the picture. Would you pay $ 28 for this? Skewer of shrimp is three shrimps? Is that even a 6oz steak? I felt ripped off. My husband was still hungry after he was done eating and I felt so bad because I thought he would be so happy with what I brought home for his dinner. I contacted the restaurant via email. The GM replied and apologized for the mistake profusely. He offered a Gift Card which I accepted since I should not have had to pay $ 28 for that meal. The card never arrived. I live in a safe area. Mail does not get stolen. Ever! I contacted the GM again two weeks ago to inform him that I had not received the gift card and he said he would personally send on out himself. As of today, there is still no gift card. I contacted him again and now he is no longer responding. I am done waiting, it’s been almost a month and it is clear he had no intention of sending one out at all and was having a good laugh. It is a shame that someone who lacks this much integrity is running a restaurant. I would never eat there again because of this experience and to be frank, I can’t respect such an individual who lacks morals.

I tried Patrick’s when it had just opened, after having very much enjoyed the Bachman’s location several times. My first experience with this location was that the food was fine, if predictable, but that the service was among the worst I’ve experienced any establishment where one could reasonably expect decent service. I gave Patrick’s another try today with a friend who is a vendor for high end dessert ingredients, thinking it might be the kind of place he would enjoy and find interesting. And, I figured, that the serious service problems that I experienced shortly after their opening would surely have been addressed by now. Time to give Patrick’s a second chance. Long story short, they will not receive a third chance. The service is astonishingly bad. Not just in terms of being slow, but also in terms of not seeming to have a sense as to the most basic ways of interacting with clients in terms of friendliness, being informed about their own menu, and professionalism. If the food was to die for, maybe I’d push through the bad service. But the food is just OK, and the service is(no overstatement) atrocious.

Went for brunch with my mom and pop on Sunday morning. Food was ok, but the service was totally off. Our server must have been new… we had to ask(repeatedly) for items. Water(he brought 2 but not 3), my coffee after he only brought my dad’s, creamer to go with the coffee, a 3rd set of silverware as there were only 2, butter for french toast which was near cold by the time it was brought out, ketchup, my meal came out with bacon instead of the sausage I ordered. It was exhausting. I feel like we were always looking for him to wave him down to remind or ask him to bring us some missing piece of our meal. Ruined the whole experience. If I hadn’t had disappointing service at the Edina location awhile ago, I would say it was an anomaly, but now it’s happened twice at two different locations. Whole fam agreed we would never go back. On the bright side, they do take call ahead reservations for Sunday brunch so there is it does have that going for it.

I have eaten here several times. It’s a good spot! The staff are always attentive, the food is fresh, and the pastries are to die for! I really enjoy the variety of sandwiches for lunch. This is a laid back café at lunch, and they have a full bar with many wines and several beers on tap. For dinner, the menu is a bit more formal, however they still have some burgers, French onion soup(outstanding!), and my personal favorite, the Beef bourguignon. I do not know how they make it, but this dish is outstanding. Save room for fresh pastries for dessert. They are incredible and plentiful! Lunch more of a café, dinner more formal, but a great spot for either!

Very nice place to hang out with a friend. The server is friendly. Food tastes good accept the onion soup was too salty today, But the good part is that it’s still cheesy!
