I have been a Kohl’s customer for several years. Since signing up for their credit card a few years ago, I’ve been able to «save» a ton of money on clothing purchases. By save, of course, I mean spend less than I could have. The(infrequent) 30% off coupons and Kohl’s cash have helped me add to my wardrobe on the cheap. They carry some classic and/or fashionable brands, such as Levi’s, Nike, Adidas, Jockey, Apt. 9, etc. I’m a lifelong Levi’s jeans man and it’s great to get them for around $ 30 after discount since you can easily pay double that elsewhere. I’ve gotten many compliments on my black Apt. 9 suit and it was off the rack for under $ 100. It looks, feels, and fits like a much more expensive suit. Also have bought many dress shirts and ties that have been ridiculously cheap and look great. The lines can get long at times, but they do have many bodies working the registers. I blame it more on the idiot/old/pain in the tuchus customers with too many coupons and too much stuff in their carts which, when combined with too few brain cells, can make for long painful transactions and gumming up the works for the rest of us. They keep the store pretty clean, but I’ve had dust bunnies rolling through the dressing rooms more than a few times. Like anywhere else, lazy @ss people unfold everything and make no effort to put it back how it was in the right place – hard to combat that. Overall, I feel like I get plenty of decent stuff for low prices. It keeps me coming back for more and I’m not afraid to say that I think it’s a pretty great place to shop.

I feel like most of the clothes are junk. Then today I had a gift card, only to find that you can’t use a gift card with a coupon. So of my 7.00 purchase I HAD to put 3.00 on my kohls charge, and then could put the balance on the gift card. WHAT a joke. Why the restriction on gift cards? They were purchased with real money. I will tell those I know NOT to do the gift card thing with Kohls!

Like any Kohls, half the store is usually on clearance.

I’m wise to your pricing strategy Kohls. Jacking up the price and then giving me coupons, sales prices, clearance prices and Kohls cash to bring my purchase back to normal retail price… How dare you? How do you sleep at night? That being said, I love me some Kohls cash. Also, the store is amazingly convenient and the cashiers are very nice. Clothing quality is ok and there is a large selection. The shoe section is crap, but they do have some decent bedding and luggage. Who am I kidding, I’ll be back this weekend.

Kohls is usually my go to spot for clothes. They have some good work shirts however since I think clothes are way overpriced, I usually hunt around for the deals. Another thing I have a hard time finding are some good pants, but that may be due to my fluctuating waist line. The fitting rooms are nice and clean. I don’t like how they always ask me to sign up for promotions when I check out and to be honest, I’m getting sick of the surveys from stores in general. Although it always seems worse at Kohls because they give you a separate«receipt» just to take it. I still question whether people win at those.
