I’ve been coming to manzanita for 20 years and every time we always go to Left Coast. Seriously, my family craves the wet burritos and taco salads. The tequila like chicken is amazing and their red enchilada sauce on a wet burrito with all the includes is so good! Highly, highly recommended!

A must stop for me each and every time I am in Manzanita. I crave their taco salad with all the fixins and be sure to try their chipotle sour cream on everything! Fresh, organic, fast and fun!

Won’t find a better burrito for the buck anywhere that I know of. If they have 1 drawback — they don’t have a yogurt option in lieu of sour cream. Several burrito places in Portland(where I am from) do have that option. Warning — their hot salsa is VERYHOT. No joke. My favorite is to do a wet buritto with green sauce, with Spicy Chicken and Mild Salsa.

Terrible, rude customer service and only so-so food. My boyfriend and I waited in line for about 15 minutes, which was totally fine for a busy day. There was no outdoor seating, so we asked for our order to go. We waited for food for another 10 minutes, and by this time, the line was gone and 3 tables opened up outside. I told the cashier we would like to change our order to eat in the restaurant, and she gave me this rude speech about how once we decide on take-out we can’t change our minds. She said we cannot eat on their patio with take-out. Our food hadn’t even been made yet, so I asked if it could be put on plates instead. But she said it wasn’t possible. She then told me to go sit at benches down the street or a table(with no chairs) on the side of the restaurant. Such horrible customer service! It made my bf and I want to ask for a refund and never go back. We decided to eat on the deck anyway… take-out containers and all! But sadly, the food wasn’t that great.

It pains me to only give 2 stars here, but I feel like the MAIN reason people go to restaurants is the food — the taste and the quality. Thus, 2 stars. But let’s begin with the good about Left Coast. The people there, and I dealt with three of them, were all wonderful. Super friendly, efficient, and just cool. Relaxed without trying too hard in that way Oregonians can do, yet still professional enough to let you know they were in the service industry. The place itself is clean and cute. I love the collection of hot sauce bottles from around the world that act as a border along the interior’s ceiling. There were no flies or insects of any kind, which can be an issue in places like this — where you enter from a patio and order at the counter. Oh, and their patio seating is just lovely. Now to the food… ugh. So disappointing. I ordered two of the most basic Mexican food staples — chips and salsa(which you must pay for), and a taco salad. There’s a large board you pick your ingredients from — proteins, veggies, etc. — and you basically build you taco or burrito or salad to order. Sounds great. I was super excited. The chips and salsa arrived. I ordered the mild salsa, but what I received was simply a cup of pico di gallo. It had okay flavorl, but it was not salsa. It was pico di gallo. The chips were cold. Not stale, but certainly not out of any oven or warmer. They tasted store-bought. My taco salad arrived and looked good. I ordered it with rice, cheese, lettuce, and their tequila lime chicken. And I ordered mild salsa on the side… guess what I got? Another cup of pico di gallo. The chicken was shredded and all sat atop the salad. It looked good. I mixed everything together and dug in. The iceberg lettuce was crisp and fine for iceberg lettuce. The cheese was fine. But the chicken and rice — the two things that should really make up the flavor in this dish were as flat and unflavorful as cardboard. There was NO tequila nor any lime flavor whatsoever in the chicken. It seemed as if the chicken wasn’t even salted. It was fresh and cooked properly, but had absolutely ZERO flavor. And the rice — you know when you order rice in a place like this you expect some version of «Mexican rice» — that orangeish, spicey rice that adds flavor and zest. Uh, no. This rice was as bland as the chicken. No seasoning, no flavor, nothing. I could not even finish the salad, nor the cold chips. It was such a disappointment because as I said, the people there were very sweet. I feel like they care. Hopefully, they’ll read this(and some other similar reviews) and give some more love to the cooking. This could be a great place. But with no flavor in any of their food, there’s no reason to return.

Very friendly service but very bland burritos. I ordered the big burrito with tequila lime chicken and hubby got the big burrito with beef. You are given a choice of rice or beans for the filling and we both picked rice. After that, you are given an option to pick fillings or select the works(no extra charge) — so we did the works. We saw a lot of folks select the wet burrito(basically the big burrito slathered with enchilada sauce) so maybe we will get that when we are in town!

After eating Left Coast for MANYMANMANY years, I find it to always be consistent. It is FRESHMEX and some of the best I have ever had. They do not claim to be authentic Mexican. I love all types of Mexican because they are all different. I have eaten in all kinds of Mexican restaurants and love Left Coasts Fresh Mex approach. My out of town guest(even from Texas where there is LOTS of real Mexican food) have to have it when they come! So for all the bad reviews you must have had a bad day! The staff is always friendly and fun. Gotta go so I can order my left coast for lunch for the second time this week…

They have an amazing patio out front that is extremely inviting. We went inside to order our food and were very let down by the poor customer service. We ordered beer/chips/salsa/guacamole! The beer was good!

To all the tourist douches who trash this place because it isn’t Mexican food… just stop with yourself. Go down the street and get a plate of gringo«Mexican» food. Or better yet, drive back to Cannon Beach. This place is awesome. Fresh. Healthy. Cheap. It’s Pacific NW beach burritos, tacos and salads. Unique and great.

I wonder if any of the good reviews here have EVER actually eaten Mexican food. There was no flavor in anything, especially the«tequila lime chicken» which was like shredded limey newspaper. The rice was flavorless, the enchilada sauce did not deserve that title, and the biggest plus seems to be the enormous portions, but that was wasted because we couldn’t bare to eat 75% of our food. I would say it left a bad taste in my mouth, but more accurately it left no taste at all.

Food gets 5 stars Staff gets 5 stars Menu is short on creative options. But the healthy options in all the dishes is incredible. Love the medium salsa, hints of comal and roasted poblanos.

We eat this fine food at least once a month and I feel silly I haven’t ever reviewed it.(Blush) We live here in Manzanita and Left Coast is an institution here. All of the salsas, meats and beans are made in house and some of them are even organic. It truly is healthy Mexican food that makes your tummy happy! I recommend the naked burrito since I have gone gluten free. It is delicious. My hubby likes the wet burrito with the green sauce.(The green sauce ROCKS) We both love the spicy chicken and the pork is quite good too. All of the«includes» such as sunflower seeds and olives add nice elements to the dishes too, as well as their large selections of hot sauces to spice it up! I highly recommend it! Yum yum

We read the reviews which made us a little apprehensive but decided to give it a try. What a pleasant surprise. The food is fresh and lots of layered flavor. The tequila lime chicken is excellent. We had it on the taco salad and the enchiladas. The guacamole is wonderful– simple and fresh. My husband who doesn’t like guacamole liked it. The place is very quaint and comfortable inside and the help was informative and courteous. We will be back.

Well hello vegan/vegetarian options at a decent price! Delicious burritos, great service, plenty of hot sauces and an outdoor patio. Doesn’t get much better than that.

Best Mexican food on the coast if not in Oregon. Had the big burrito with beef and the shredded beef had a ton of flavor. Had a smothered burrito with green sauce done healthy with lime-tequila chicken, black beans and no cheese and it was healthy and still super flavorful. The salsa is fantastic and the guac, while very basic was delicious. The patio is a great spot to eat, drink a cold Corona and people watch. We go here every time we’re in Manzanita and we’ll keep coming back.

The taco salad was terrible! The food was cold, and the shell was inedible. While I was there I watched 2 people take their food back to get it reheated and or changed to the correct order. Lastly, as we were finishing eating one of the staff members came up to my friend and I and let us know very rudely we could not eat in the restaurant if we got our food«to go.» As I understand this is a standard policy when we ordered it was very busy and I knew I would have to ask for a to-go box eventually and I was trying to save them time. There were over 8 tables open at the time. I would gladly accept this policy if there were people waiting for a seat but by that time there was no one in line and only 2 other families eating with plenty of open tables. It didn’t make a difference if we stayed or not. P. S. the food was so bad I just threw it away and didn’t even eat half of it.

We sat outside on the patio and had dinner with our exhausted dogs which we greatly appreciated! Thanks for being so relaxed about that. The food was good, I enjoyed the sunflower seeds on my fresh tasting chicken taco salad, and my husband’s huge wet burrito in red sauce was mild but tasty. They have a good selection of hot sauce in side if you want something hotter.

Cute place with some outdoor seating and locals feeling! It was not marked well that it is counter service only but you quickly figure it out. No margaritas here, though. The main draw here is HUGE portions, but I only felt the food to be ok and did not care for the guac at all here! The food is made fresh and so much so that the cheese is not melted on to the tacos or burritos. Their portions are So huge we had plenty left over, note that to-go may be the way to go here as the food heated up very well, I enjoyed it more as it was hot and cheese melted this time! The lime chicken is a nice touch to a burrito. I’ll try them again but only to-go!

ANABSOLUTEMUST. This is my favorite place for a burrito and it will forever be this way. I’ve been going here for years, it’s my first stop whenever I get to manzanita. Extremely fair prices and if you order the wet burrito you’ll get more then what you bargained for. It’s amazing. And easily will give you a late night snack.(Or another meal in my case)… They are a little old school with ordering and numbers, seat yourself, clean up after yourself, get your own water… Big deal. It’s amazing fresh food and that’s what I love, & my whole family.
