Pearland Storage @ Southfork

Though the storage facilities are impressive, my review is for the Neighborhood U-​Haul component. This is the closest U-​Haul dealer to my new home. I attempted to return the 24′ truck and auto transport when I moved to the area in August, but they do not take in trailers (probably due to the ingress). Still, I did not know this and pulled in. The owner was very nice and gave me directions to another U-​Haul dealer and opened his gates so that I did not need to back out.
Then a month later, I needed to rent a small trailer to move an antique sofa and U-Haul’s website showed that they had one available there. I thought this was odd, so I called Pearland Storage. Again, he stated that they do not deal with trailers. He asked me where I live and where I would need to use the trailer. Then, he recommended a dealer that is close to where the sofa was located. This was more than I expected!
The reason for 4 & not 5 stars is that they should be able to work with U-​Haul to ensure that trailers do not show up as available in their location. Still, with this great service, I would gladly rent a storage unit from them if needed.

This is a beautiful and clean facility. Of course it is, it is new! It is convenient from HW 288 and free from retail traffice compared to the other self storage facilities in the area. The front desk staff (I even know their names) offered gold star customer service in helping me arrange a unit, even switching units without any push-​back towards the end of my transaction as suddenly another family member wanted to store furniture along with mine. I can tell they care about their facility because with each visit, front desk people show up to see how we are doing… I also like the way they repeatedly asked me «what are you storing». Furniture of course, but if «you are what you store» then best to know your customers and make sure they aren’t into storing things that bring down the image of your facility. I highly recommend them and do with family and friends.
