OBX Dolphin Tours

Also known as Miss Bodie Island dolphin tour. This was kind of a last minute thing we wanted to do with the kids. High points were the boat and crew. Low point? The dolphins… We did see a few groups on what felt like a 2hr tour. It’s just in the sound, the water is dark and shallow so the dolphins aren’t leaping out of the water or anything exciting (for us anyway). But if you just want a nice boat ride which is safe for small kids and to see some dolphins in the wild, then this is a good option. The captain also took us through the Manteo bay wharf where you can see some big ships and fisheries. I would definitely recommend this place for families with small kids as the boat has 3ft rail all around, a bathroom and being a pontoon boat, is pretty steady. Thrill seekers search elsewhere. $ 25 adult, $ 15 kids 4 and up.
