I really hate shopping at this store. I prefer to shop at Safeway, but sometimes don’t feel like driving across town to do so. Some staff is better then others, but some are VERYRUDE! Brandi was our checker, she didn’t even greet us until we greeted her, and the nagger(who’s name I didn’t catch) just piled up all our groceries didn’t ask for the cart to put them in, and caused us to leave a bag behind! I’ve also experienced rude checkers in the night time as well, it’s uncalled for to be rude to people who are helping pay your salaries. I’ve decided to stop all further shopping at this store because it’s just not a great store!

i was just there today around 5 pm, i didn’t buy anything coz i couldn’t find what i need i was at the medicine section where’s all the vitamins, i was ask by an employee if i need some help i said no, a little bit later she ask me again if i need help i said no, she probably ask me like 5 times… well i guess she called her assistant manager to watch me coz they think im stealing some vitamins… hahahahaha…a little later another lady was just staring at me, so i was thinking why was she staring at me… to make my story short… i decided to just leave and not buy anything, but the 2nd lady followed me and ask me why i didn’t buy anything and why i was just walking and looking around… why do i really need to by anything??? or do i look like someone whose going to steal just because im asian, and no make up and had a big purse? i told the assistant manager to go ahead and search my purse and my pocket… but she said its not necessary. this store is worst!!! i will stop buying from this store from now on… don’t and never judge a customer from the way they look or wear!!! i come to this store 4 – 5 times a week and spend at least min. of $ 50…

This is the worst store ever! Most of the employees are not helpful, they’re rude, and unhappy! The people in the bakery/deli are worthless. They don’t know the difference between whipped cream frosting and buttercream frosting. If you want deli meat don’t you dare ask them to cut it for you. If you dare expect to deal with a ton of attitude! You had better just take what is in the case. Which 9 times out of 10 is dried out and looks like it’s been there for a month! If you do decide to shop here check every and I mean EVERY expiration date! We found 6 jars of peanut butter that had expired 2 years earlier during a recent trip to this store! It is not unusual to find several expired items during one shopping trip. The produce department is just sad! Most of the produce looks like it should be headed to the trash. The quality is not the same at this store as it is in every other store. It’s like the distribution center sends the lowest quality produce to this store. I will no longer shop at this store. Someone really needs to correct this mess!!! If I could give NO stars I would!

This is about the worst grocery store I have ever been to. Not really a fan of Savemart to begin with, its dirty and overpriced. They do however carry some things other stores don’t which is why I make an occasional appearance there. I rather go to the one on Main Street than this one. Each time I go to this one all the employees act like they are on sedatives or just on drugs, period. I got a cake for my daughters birthday from there. I repeatedly asked the girl behind the counter if the cake was butter cream or whipped cream. She kept saying butter cream. I took it home showed it to my daughter and she naturally stuck her finger in it and she’s 14 too. Ended up being whipped cream, so I call to ask if I can exchange it for a buttercream cake. After being on the phone for 20 minutes I got the«okay». My husband ran it down to exchange it out. My daughter picked out the cake instead and the same lady insisted again the cake was butter cream. They brought it home and it was whipped cream. The lady behind the counter said you can’t dye whipped cream :/ummm what?! My daughter kept it anyways. Another lovely experience took place when I make those rare occasions to Savemart for items only they carry. This time it was for this certain brand of gluten free bread. I can only find it at Savemart, unfortunately. I get it up to the counter and it doesn’t come up as an item in their computer. So the cashier sends out the bag boy who doesn’t end up showing back for awhile so she has to send someone to go look for him and that person gets lost and she has to leave her register to go find both of them. One comes back to ask me where I got the bread from as in what isle. :/I said probably the bread isle. GOODGRIEF The orginal bag boy came back and said he can’t find the bread and begin to place a Savemart basket over his head and started to make random noises. I am a patient person, but I can only handle so much ignorance all at once. The cashier makes her way back and says I can have the bread for a quarter because they found the bread, buts it’s all moldy :/Then she said she’s going to break and someone is trying to find me a non moldy bread and if I can wait to the side. Again patient person here. I wait and wait and wait. The cashier that took over the cashiers lane that went to her break(by the way she spent her break dancing around the isles, in a daze) got upset I was still waiting and said to me to go pick out any bread I want and he is sorry. I give 5 stars to that guy. His name is Wes. I go to pick out another bread and I see 3 Savemart employees in the bread isle standing around, dancing around like they are on LSD. I said you can quit the bread witch hunt, Wes said I can pick out any bread I want. They just starred at me. I guess they were peaking at that point. I picked out another bread and got out of there quickly, I won’t return to this location again. Savemart should invest in drug testing or just start holding raves for the employees.

I lost my paycheck in this store and although I had cancelled it, the store manager contacted my corporate office in San Jose to try and let me know he had it. A+++ for customer service.

Convenient neighborhood store — good for a quick trip. The good: Friendly cashiers, fish mongers and produce people. The produce is always fresh and there is a nice selection of greens I have trouble finding at other markets. The needs improvement: Too many times I am accosted by people selling things or asking for donations when I leave the store, bakery-deli service can be slow. Wish management was a bit more proactive about keeping unsavory characters from hanging around outside the doors.

The customer service here is a joke. My ATM card was stolen and I came in to buy $ 24.00 worth of groceries. I pull out my checkbook and the cashier watches me write the check and takes the check and tells me that he can’t accept my check because my check number was too low. The number on my check was 022 and apparently they don’t accept checks because of that. I asked for a manger and he said he was a manager. I asked why they don’t accept all check numbers and his answer was«we just don’t.» Yeah some manager. He knows he was wrong and that’s why I was denied access to a manger. Then he laughed at me and spoke to me in a very condescending tone because I dared to be frustrated at the situation. I’ve been shopping here for a long time and I live right around the corner but I will NEVER shop here again. I refuse to be treated that way and I will be following up on this. I don’t write checks very often so heaven forbid my check number is low. I use my checks for rent and not much else. The check number story is total bullshit and the way it was handled by the moron clerk was even worse. There’s way too much competition in regards to supermarkets and I’m sure other supermarkets will appreciate my money much more because I’m done with this place.

Friendly workers(well most of them) clean store and fresh produce :) Minus one star for not having whole wheat mustard… Every store has them but them. And another star taken away bc some workers are very mean and don’t acknowledge you.

Stood at the bakery center on Saturday for quite a while the two employees finished their conversation about whatever the topic because they acknowledged my presence. And they responded to my question begrudgingly. Sorry for bothering you with my patronage. Had a great variety of St. Patty’s day themed beers, but none of them were refrigerated. Found that a little odd. Also, the check out worker and bagger were friendly and helpful.

The staff does not seem happy. Don’t they know that there are a 100 people(yes, it’s complete under estimation with this economy, but I’m just making a point) out there that would love to have a job? The supermarket is OK. The produce is OK. The staff is really what brought down the score. Also, the store seems smaller than the store in Lathrop.

Gosh o’gosh. Does everyone who works there hate their life? … Well maybe not all of them, but a hand full of them… Don’t get me wrong, the supermarket is always clean, has a great selection of food, and everything is pretty neat/organized, but really? Each time I fall in line, I manage to have the check-out clerk who either wants to kill me or them-selves. No ‘hi’, no ‘bye’, no ‘how was your day?’ & wouldn’t even make a peep during the purchase… I mean really though? I’m seriously only 3 minute away from this supermarket and only go to Save Mart if I need something immediately. The supermarket is really about the food & the food alone, but if their employees don’t care about their customers, they might not even care about the food they’re to «care for». The Lathrop Save Mart definitely gives you a different & more positive customer experience.
