Super cute inside! Lots of lotions and other products for sale. They also have jewelry and accessories for sale as well. The staff is very friendly and professional. Beds are AMAZING! Got some great color after a couple of sessions. Love it here.

Terrible customer service. Manager Nicole is losing potential customers. Purchased set of 3 spray tans in modesto. Told by modesto office that I could use them in manteca because same owner. I live in Ripon so manteca closer. After arriving in manteca and waiting 30 min told by Nicole that they won’t honor tans purchased in modesto. So had to buy new tans. I bought one since I had spent so much of my day trying to get spray tan. I will not go back. Confusion & no customer service, they got my money but I didn’t get the service.

I have not tanned in a while but since I have been getting back into shape and a little happier with myself I got a desire for some color! They have alot of membership options. It is overwhelming all the things that come with tanning now. Honestly I am pretty traditional and I just like to come and do my regular tanning. I have also done the mystic tanning they have here and that turned out great. They have plenty of lotions to chose from and all of the staff is nice. The only thing I do not like about this place is everytime I come in they try to sell you something else. I know that is their job but I am already paying by the month to come here and I got my lotion and I am happy with it and I dont feel like I need to be sold something everytime. I just wanna come in and tan. If I need something I will ask for it. Other than the excessive upselling I am happy with Planet Beach and will continue to come back.

Excellent tanning/spa salon without the upscale cost! Love the décor so feminine and relaxing. The Tanning beds and rooms are clean and equipped with everything you need. The dry sauna is very relaxing for my husband and the Platinum tanning bed is larger so it accommodates him comfortably at 6’2″. The hydro-therapy bed is so addicting, it rehydrates your skin and leaves your skin feeling so soft! Nycole and her staff are very helpful and accommodating. There are plenty of products to choose from at competitive prices. I’ve attached a pic of the lobby that shows the foot massage machines that you can use if you’re waiting for your friend or spouse to finish with their session. Love this salon!

Shop is kind of in rough shape; bad paint job, and after making an appointment for my spray tan I still had to wait 30 minutes. And there was a girl doing a spray tan in front of me that came out of her spray tan complaining that it didn’t work. The consultant insisted it did, then after review realized that it in fact did NOT work, and she had to go in a second time. Not satisfied.

Way too expensive. No eyewear provided and at that price they should at least provide the paper ones. I almost always have to wait but when I don’t, they never seem to have the platinum bed available(hmmm) I couldn’t afford 50 something bucks a month especially when I work out of town and never make the lousy hours they are open, I decided to cancel my membership. Of course…60 days notice which I am checking into to see if it’s even legal… I went in so they say. and are wrong… on the 17th and I was drafted the 15th so now I have to wait 90 days… ridiculous…bad management, bad bulbs…

The staff is prettty helpful when you ask questions, but you definately have to ask or they offer no information. Most of the time everything is pretty clean. However, despite the«walk in ready» concept of the company, you have to make an appointment or you’ll be waiting at least 20 minutes.

This is a chain. The Manteca location is in a convent. The tanning beds appear to be cleaned between each client. The hydro bed has a musty odor. Eye protectors are not provide. There are several beds to accommodate different intensity tanning levels. A water cooler is available. The staff is generally pleasant. Appointments are not necessary. I recommend making one as it gets busy in the evening. The price is HIGH. Read the small print when signing package contracts. I was told over the phone I have to give a 60 day notice to void the contract. That is even after a year of membership. Will be following up on this. Definitely a customer dissatisfier. For over $ 70 a month eye protectors should be provided as upscale tanning salons provide this service.
