Ono’s is one of my favorite places to pick up food in Manteca. I love the Hawaiian BBQ mix. They are very consistent and I know exactly what I am going to get every time I order. I have never dined in so I can not speak of the customer service or the cleanliness of the tables. However, what I have experienced is 5 stars. I enjoy that they are willing to allow their customers to customize their food. I do not like cabbage, so they allowed me to substitute my cabbage for extra rice.

First time eating here. I am from the east coast. Delicious and fresh. I did not mind waiting for the food to be cooked. Fresh food is always better. I recommend or and over. Had the chicken Katsu and fire chicken. YUM!

Fast efficient service. Food out promptly and staff was friendly. Can’t ask for much more. BBQ combo #4 was good and the misubi was ono. Great place for a quick Hawaiian food fix.

Ripped up and dirty seating. Exposed foam. It is doubtful the health department has been here in a while. Disgusting!

Run down and rude employees. I asked a simple menu question and was told no without explanation. No customer service, not a care. Bottom line. It’s has items most don’t so it’ll stay around but won’t be a place to go out of your way for. Sad, run down and degree less young adults running the joint.

The 5 star is base on the food alone. But seriously its not a place you take to a date or complain of a little specks. I usually get the bbq chicken by the way. Good stuff, the portion is plentiful and steam cabbage is delicious. Ive been to many different Hawaiian bbq. I have to say i think this is my favorite so far. Service is speedy but again its about the food.

Used to be ok to eat, but it looks run down now. Service was borderline rude and saw them cleaning the dirty yellow wet floor signs on the counter where you pick your food up, really unsanitary. NOT coming back.

Ehhh… Not a fan. We placed an order at the counter and then ventured into the dining room to find a table to wait for our food to be prepared. The tables were all filthy and sticky. After cleaning one off, I went to fill my drink. The drink fountain is awkwardly located in the hall leading to the restrooms. This was the first time I had been to an Ono Hawaiian BBQ so I ordered the #44. It had beef, chicken, and chicken katsu. The sides were white rice and macaroni salad. Based on the reviews, I was expecting the macaroni salad to be phenomenal. Instead it was bland and tasted mostly of mayo. The white rice was sticky but good. All of the meats were flavorful, but I despise gristle. All of the cuts were fatty and the beef in particular was full of hard, inedible bits. Not my favorite place.

I have only eaten here once, but based on that I would return if in the area! I ordered the Island Curry Chicken. It comes with grilled chicken, mild curry sauce, potatoes, carrots and onions. Not to mention the mound of rice and incredible macaroni salad(seriously I mean incredible). I was really hungry that day so I ate most of it but I have no doubt it could’ve fed two people! I would definitely order what I had again and if I didn’t it would only be because I would want to try something else because it all sounds good!!! Quick service as well and clean location!

Very good food but disappointed they didnt have kimchi relish or kimchi. Also no poki on the menu. We are an islander. mixed family and. miss alot of the. things fresh from the islands. However the bbq was very good and the curry was unique and delicious. We bought a family. combo and tried many varieties. Just wish there was. more to the side dishes other than the mandatory rice and very common mac.salad.

They’re ok! First time here with the family. It doesn’t feel Hawaiian enough. They didn’t play enough Hawaiian Music, go figure. They have a Hawaiian themed place though, not bad… Although at first, I couldn’t find where their soda machine was located at. It was hidden at the very corner almost going to the bathroom area. Its not next to the cash register where its visible. Other than that. Great food. Play more Hawaiian Music please, Ive listened enough of Nicki Minaj and Justin Bieber, not that I dislike those music artist. But the name of these restaurant and themed of Hawaii, you have to play more Hawaiian music. That is all…

I sat in amazement at all the people walking in during lunch hour to eat this awful food. The employees look miserable to be working there and the meat quality is poor. You would think they could at least upgrade the booths! The chairs were ripped and the canvas photos on the wall were coming apart on the bottom! Take pride in your store! If you can’t do that, what makes me believe that you will actually tend to the quality of your food and service? I will not return. McDonalds serves better chicken for a fraction of the cost.

I have been eating here for a few years. The food is excellent. The macaroni salad is my favorite part. Service is always great. I do prefer to phone in my order and pick it up though.

Ehhh. The macaroni salad taste blah and like mayo. The inside is always dirty and the customer service could be better. It’s best to call In your food if possible since you can wait up to 20 mins for food. They should prolly remodel since the booths and cushions have tears and holes in them. I do love the rice and BBQ chicken and the sauces those are great.

I’m not really sure why this place has such a low rating. I’m not a fan of chicken but theirs is always good. It’s always really juicy and tender. There is no Hawaiian BBQ in Modesto so I may be a little biased in appreciating this place so much. The food is good, prices are fair, and service is quick and friendly. They always let me get lots of extra sauce with my meal. No complaints.

Today’s kalua pork was overcooked, so the pork was dry and tough. Also over salted and did not taste like it was fresh

This place is a good Hawaiian BBQ place to go! This place is in comparison to L & L Hawaiian BBQ. I honestly think this place tastes better than L & L with great quality grade of meat. I got an order of the Hawaiian BBQ platter. Definitely tasty and delicious. Prices are well worth the price. The portions of the meals are great size. I recommend this place to everyone.

Came here for lunch over the weekend. We used a coupon and got a free chicken meal. Score. Service was super friendly. Food took a bit to prepare, but that means it’s made fresh to order, which I like. The place is super clean, and they have all the condiments you may want. The chicken meal was very good. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, with tasty perfectly cooked rice, and delicious Hawaiian macaroni salad(what do they put in it to make it so good??). The Beef short ribs were a huge disappointment. They were so fatty that at least half of the ribs were chunks of straight up fat which I tried to cut off, and the pieces that looked like meat had so many ribbons of fat that it tasted like straight fat with more texture. I couldn’t even eat half of it and had a stomach ache after. My rice and macaroni salad were superb though. I’d definitely come back, but would stay clear of the fatty beef ribs, and stick to chicken or other options. Worth another try, but this visit was mixed.
