I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews on this page. I have come to this KFC many times and have never experienced any problems. Most of the workers are young, energetic, always trying to help, and carry a smile. This is a fast food restaurant– of course this food is not gourmet but it is still worth the money. I’ve been to this KFC enough to know that if you are dissatisfied with your food, they will easily replace it. In addition, if they make a mistake– I’ve seen workers try to make up for it by throwing in a freebie. The workers try their absolute best at customer service,(after all these are a bunch of high schoolers and college kids) and yes I have witnessed very rude and grumpy customers while sitting and enjoying my personal meal. Bottom line, this is good enjoyable food– well worth the money spent.

Came here for dinner and the girl working drive thru was rude. Anna also messed up my order and when I politely said excuse me she told me to hush and said one minute. I suggest KFC get employees who know what they’re doing.

I am constantly disappointed by this particular KFC. The staff is friendly enough and they aren’t slow but the quality of the food is really poor. More often than not I get stale food at this restaurant. They are right around the corner from my house so it’s close when we are in a rush but I just took the kids there and spent $ 30 on our way home for barely edible chewy breaded chicken and dried-out biscuits. It was 5:15 when we went there and I’m sure none of the food we had was made after noon today. I doubt they rotate anything off the warmer until it gets sold. This is a constant problem with this particular KFC. I won’t be going back. I’ll go without or drive the ten miles to the decent one.

I hate to have to rate them so low but the atm machine in drive thru has been broken for about a week and the staff won’t run a card at the counter for anything drive thru. I have two small children(17 months twins) and super pregnant and I just can’t go inside. It is unfortunate that they would rather send me to the competition then run my card at the counter.

Very mediocre. Chicken strips were disappointing, mashed potatoes amazing as usual, will still never taste anything better than a kfc biscuit. Mt Dew saves this rating from being 2 stars

All of my experiences at this KFC have been good. Their credit card machine was down for drive-thru today, but other than that the food has always been good and the staff’s been nice. Quite surprised to see all the negative comments. Maybe they changed management since then. I don’t know and I don’t care, so long as they continue to give me good chicken and good service. I’m craving KFC now…

Every Time I go to this KFC in Manteca they are out of whatever I ordered and have to wait 5 – 7 min for my meal. Then when I get home something is always missing ! They missed the boat on management at this restaurant.

I wish that it was possible to give zero stars. I got the worst case of food poisoning from the chicken here. If I had health insurance at the time I would have gone to a hospital. HORRIBLE, RUNAWAY, FAST !!! I ‘ve never eaten kentucky fried chicken since… YUCHHHHHHH ! p. s lousy service too:(

im giving it a 3-star just because the cashier, Juliana was her name, was very nice and cheerful. Foodwise the chicken was a bit salty. the mashed potatoes and coleslaw were ok. the rice bowl was too hot for me. but for a 10 $ meal, thats fast food for you.

Generally, KFC is a third rate choice for me when it comes to real fried chicken because it is made in batches and waits in a plastic cabinet to be sold later. At least that’s my experience. The great spices they use still make for great flavor, but the chicken itself sits in their cabinet too long. This particular KFC plays rock ‘n roll very loud for the pleasure of the employees, apparently, as I can’t imagine most customers wanting to have such racket inflicted upon them while trying to enjoy a meal. One might get a good batch of chicken here by showing up just after they open because the chicken is relatively fresh from the fryer at that time. My experience is that showing up later will guarantee stale chicken that was in the storage cabinet too long. But no matter when one shows up, the rock ‘n roll will be blaring. The«actual statue» of the«kernel»(colonel) just can’t turn a dive into a five star restaurant for me!

Purchase chicken tenders and potato edges Potatoes were ok but the tenders were very dry and hard to eat… Very disappointed with the chicken :(

The family had a sudden urge for fried chicken a few days ago. I ordered two buckets of chicken and potato wedges. I was overcharged by almost $ 4, which I didn’t notice until I arrived home. The chicken was GREASY! If my car ran on biofuels, I could have used the chicken as fuel! A few hours after eating it, I was sick to my stomach. You can bet I won’t be returning here ever!

What is there really to say about a fast food joint? How quickly they got me food? The quality of said food? The«customer service» provided by the pre/post high school employees? KFC makes some damn good chicken, but sometimes they need to work on their customer service skills. Granted it is a fast food establishment and I’m not expecting white-table-cloth waiter service, but common courtesy is to be expected in my honest opinion. Now… I do not mean to bash a group of people(fast food employees) but I do mean to bash upon the individual morons that irritate me. When I order a three piece original recipe plate with mac n cheese and a biscut… I expect just that. I do not expect a blank stare and a scoff when I return to the store to get my order corrected after you gave me three pieces of extra crispy chicken and cole slaw. How hard is your job? I mean really… all you have to do is listen and comply… which btw takes the lowest form of cognitive language skills. Also… if your store stay open until 11pm… don’t you think you ought to keep food prepared and ready until say… 11pm?!? I once arrived at this particular KFC an hour… ANHOUR… before closing on a Friday night and was told they were out of original recipe chicken. Excuse me… did I just hear you correctly? You are OUT of the type of chicken that made you famous a complete hour before your doors are supposed to lock. Do you honestly think no one was going to patronize your establishment on a Friday night who might want the type of chicken that made your restaurant famous? Unacceptable. 1 star for«customer service», 2 stars because the chicken(when the have it) is delicious.

PLEASEREAD: Manteca Ca. Kentucky Fried Chicken does not need customers! I have changed locations from where I use to purchase my weekly chicken fix because of the actions of a few rude KFC employees at Javier Coria’s KFC at 1211 East Yosemite Avenue 209−823−3783 here in Manteca. On April 292009 around 6:00pm I stood in a very busy line. The drive thru was just as packed so I thought I would save some time and try to get take out from inside. I ordered the 10 piece«all thighs» and was told it would be a 20 minute wait. Not a problem. As I wait I observed other employees and their reactions to the customers who where waiting in the packed drive thru window. Very unprofessional! I witnessed 2 employees mocking/making fun of the drive thru window customers and laughing because they complained about the wait. HOWRUDE!!! This was done in front of several customers who were waiting 20 plus minutes for their order as well. Then, after waiting for what seemed to be forever, my name was called and I was informed that my order«could not be filled» and that my thighs had been given out to other customers and that if I still wanted«all thighs» that it would be another 20 minutes. WHAT? I am waiting for a «whoops, sorry«or would you«like a coke/water while waiting» anything? Instead I received an attitude for ordering«all thighs» from one of the same people who were mocking their paying drive-thru customers. I told the employee that I would like to speak with the manager. She told me that the manager was busy and that I would be told the same thing(funny, I did not ask for her opinion). I again insisted on the manager in hopes of getting at least an apology or something? I quickly learned where the attitude came from when a lady named«Veronica» appears and looks very bothered that I had pulled her away from what ever she was doing. While I explained to Veronica what had happened and that I did not appreciate the employees clear unapologetic attitude and her resistance to get the manager, the employee was standing next to Veronica disputing my complaint word after word. How embarrassing! I knew all the waiting customers behind me were hearing what was going on so at this point, red faced, I just asked for my money back. With a gallop Veronica hurries over to the register to hand me my money back just to get rid of the problem instead of attempting to fix it. Amazing! I just wanted some thighs from the World’s most famous Chicken establishment? It must be great business at this place to permanently chase off customers like me, huh? I asked her for her business card and she handed me some one Else’s business card and scribbled her name on it. I do not even think she was the manager? My complaint is with this location of KFC and not with KFC as a whole. I immediately drove 10 extra minutes out of my way and went to the KFC location in Lathrop on Louise Ave. and had my order in 10 minutes with a smile and a thank you just like I have been use to getting my whole life from all the other KFC’s in California. I really hope that the employees of the Manteca KFC location learn how to deal with all types of customers and that just offering them their money back does not always fix their experience. Of course if they do not need the business than it is clearly understandable why the Manteca Ca. KFC employees are unwilling to keep good paying customers coming back.
