This place is ridiculous, if could give them a 0 It would be definite would starting off with the rude receptionist in the front who is in need of manner classes, I was skeptical about using this place to began with they don’t work with you at all here, I have had a problem with two of the propane cylinders I have bought at this location there still full and intact loaded with propane but never worked with my BBQ, we tried exchanging and everything same problem if they don’t work with my grill then please take them back the propane is in there not used at all and my other cylinders get the grill on no problem from a place down the street closer to freeway off Austin RD the cylinders they give me work no problem the receptionist told me to bring my BBQ with propane tanks to store I drive a car I explained to her the thing won’t fit in my trunk, she then told me there’s nothing we can do about didn’t even say sorry we won’t be able to do anything which would have been a bit nicer since she pretty much told me my piss off we can’t do anything and were not giving you your money back but just blunt out rude so I would say say think twice about this place I still have the propane cylinders from this place sitting there not been used still total waste of money I suppose I will not be going back here over 2 cylinders how is this company doing if they can’t fix a issue with 2 cylinders how will they fix your issue or the next issue to arise good luck Kamps and goodbye!!!

I just got off the phone with their«Customer Service», They sent me to Collections for a invoice that I never received. They«tried» to call me and said that my number was disconnected. Mind you that I was sent to collections right past my 30days after the propane was delivered. They just lied about calling me and sending me invoices. How many can you possibly send in 30 days? They never apologized or admitted to their fault. I am NOT ok with companies that take advantage of their customers.

NEVER deal with these people. I had been a long-time customer on a rural home and they delivered propane when I didn’t need it(and told the driver I didn’t need it) without telling me the price was $ 1 a gallon higher than usual — then sent my account to collections, despite the payments I was sending in(a practice which had been acceptable for years before) and threatened to lock off the tank if I didn’t pay the full amount immediately. Didn’t care that I told the driver not to fill the tank, nor that I was paying them. Needless to say, I am now a customer of Amerigas(at more than a dollar a gallon less) and with people who can treat people with diplomacy and respect. Something that Kamp’s can’t appear to do.

I found out we had this service using Unilocal,I was impressed. $ 8.00 to fill a propane tank for my grill! Usually I’m paying up to $ 25! They were polite and professional. I’ll be going back and recommending.

Very disappointed with their service. I received their Fall 2012 newsletter that offered a Heater Check Special for $ 59.95. When I called the local Hayward office to schedule they told me they didn’t have any service techs at that location. They refered me to the corporate offices in Manteca. I call there and was put on hold for a long time then transferred to the local Manteca office. I explaned that I did not care what office sent the service tech, I just wanted to get my heater checked out and take advantage of the special price before the 11⁄30 deadline. I was told the Sevice Tech and Manager were not available and someone would call me back to schedule the Heater Check. Of course, no one ever called me back. A couple of years ago the driver delivering my propane backed up onto my lawn and left giant tire tracks in a deep depression. When I called to office to report it the manager said when the weather was better he would send someone out to check it out and make any repairs necessary. No one ever came out and I had to repair the damage myself. Propane is propane. One brand isn’t any better than another. Its the service that counts and the employees of this company just pass any hot potatoes to the next guy and no one takes ownership of any customer problemes that are not their immediate job description. It is obvious the company does a poor job of keeping them motivated to provide excellent customer service.

These guys are the bomb! They took care of my folks with their propane needs for decades. And you know what, they did a lot of their services for free. You can’t beat the knowledge and professionalism of their staff. The techs practice safe methods 100 percent of the time and have been providing years of complaint free customer service. Safety checks relighting pilot lights and even adjusting pilot lights for proper function even relighting my folks 80 year stove… free. These guys aren’t good they are great. If you need anything that is connected to propane see these guys. In fact when you refill your next tank of propane for your BBQ it probably was delivered to your refill point by them. They have a cool mosquito catcher in stock and large variety of products for the BBQer. From now on my propane and propane accessories will be purchased from Kamps Propane. Don’t waste your time buying stuff from the numbnuts at discount BBQ outlets buy direct from knowledgeable Kamp’s Propane staff.
