Excellent food and service. Had the spicy maki combo and all three rolls were very good but the spicy California roll was exceptionally good. Will dine here again if I am in the area.

By the looks of this seedy little city, I had my doubts I’d find a good sushi house. I figured up the road on Ashland, I’d find something close to the hotel I had booked a little while ago. But I figured I’d check Unilocal before leaving this area. Lo and behold, Unilocal serves me exceptionally well with a 4-​star rated restaurant. The people have spoken and so will I! Although I only ordered a salad with ginger dressing and a Christmas Roll, it was plenty large servings, fresh and delicious.
The atmosphere and ambience is lively and busy with a large clientele. I even loved the unique sushi plate they used and was grateful for a large salad opposed to the little dinky staple size traditionally served at all sushi restaurants. Service was great and friendly and all made for a 4 star by me.
…I just went back into Unilocal and changed to 5 stars. With my 12 oz Sapporo, my bill was under $ 20. I’m a 5-​star fan.

I love this place. The sushi is amazing; the Komodo Dragon is my favorite. The Hibachi makes a great celebration meal, and is a lot of fun. I highly recommend this place.

I absolutely looooove this place. The food has always been amazing and the staff (the owners in particular) are always so welcoming. My fiancé and I have yet to find better sushi even on the east coast!

We sat in the regular restaurant and the service was suffocating to say the least. For some reason, two wait staff were individually stopping by our table so much that it was difficult to have a conversation with my wife. I am sure they were well-​intending but more is not always better in this case.
We started off with an appetizer of vegetable tempura. Everything on this dish was cooked very well but the tempura sauce was very bland or watered down and was a disappointment.
My wife ordered CHICKEN YAKI UDON and she liked it very much.
I ordered BEEF NEGIMAKI. Besides the watered down temura sauce, it was good but a bit pricey for what you get.
Overall, I liked the restaurant and would have given it 4 stars had the service been better.

I’m big on sushi! I was a little disappointed with this place. I ordered carry out just took see. The service was very welcoming however the raw sushi had been warm. As it had been sitting out along with the cream cheese. I asked for extra ginger and they didn’t even give me a full serving for one. All in all I would go back but be weary.

Nothing compares to this place in the area. Fresh, delish, sushi. Habachi if your scared of the raw fish. They have tasty rolls and sashimi. Seaweed salad is tasty and the sake doesn’t stop flowing. Break your routine, try something new… you never know this place might be your new favorite in town.

By far the best hibachi that I have ever had! Their soup and salad is good as well. They only got 4 stars because of their reservation process. They overbooked for the evening, so we had a long wait just to get a table (we didn’t even get to sit at the hibachi grills like we were supposed to). Our server was super nice and apologetic for the inconvenience. I will definitely be back, but I really hope that they work on their reservation process!

Surprisingly good hibachi for Mansfield, Ohio. My lawfirm has an office down the road from Wokano so I stop in on occasion for the hibachi steak and shrimp lunch, and it is pretty solid. Not the cheapest lunch to have, but the food is good and the service is pretty quick. The steak is always well cooked and the sauces are yummy as well. My only complaint is that the miso dressing on the salad is a little thin. Never tried their sushi but it looks surprisingly good for small town Ohio.

If you are really really hungry for Sushi and you don’t have time to go to columbus or Cleveland then this might hold you over for a few hours or days. If you never had sushi, don’t let this place decide it for you. If you are a self proclaimed sushi expert then stay away from this place unless the above statement is true.

My husband and I went with another couple and were enthusiastic because of the 4.5 Unilocal rating we’d seen.
The hibachi chefs are entertaining enough for a group or family situation, especially if kids are along.
I had steak and chicken. It was just okay — not at all flavorful. I go for fresh and it just didn’t taste fresh to me.
Also, I felt like I could feel grease on the floor beneath my shoes, which was kind of a turn off. I wanted to like it. Maybe I’ll try them again since we live here now. I’d love to know what all the fuss is about.

I have never had a bad meal here. I go a lot on my lunch. And get food to go as well. Fast friendly and delish. The chicken and filet hibachi is the best and as far as sushi go I love the Spicey Girl roll. So good. The hibachi tables are great if you want to enjoy the atmosphere, but tables are good for a quicker meal.

This place is clean, looks great, and the food is amazing. I didn’t have much cash coming here but we ate at wokano right when it opened for the afternoon. Th bento box was fresh, tasty, and fulfilling to eat. I will definitely visit here again, no doubt!

There’s not many places I give 5 stars this place is one of them. A modern feel with a Japanese twist. A beautiful place to celebrate any occasion or to take anyone. The food is up scale and reasonably priced for lunch or dinner. Portions smaller at lunch which you would expect. But I still felt stuffed, we really got our money’s worth here. We really enjoy eating here and you should too. Also get the miso soup!

This is the third time I’ve eaten here and each time it has been delicious food and very good service. I really like a Japanese steak house in Columbus but this is equally as good and much closer. The two of us ate for the same price it would have cost at any of the other steak places in this town. We will be returning more often!
