A few months ago I would of rated a 5 star but have recently been disappointed a bit. I typically go to Sake for Lunch and get the sushi special. I tend to get the spicy salmon, spicy tuna, then the salmon avocado rolls. The lunch also comes with soup and a salad. I’m indifferent on the miso soup as I only recently started having it. The salad with ginger dressing is amazing. I love their dressing. When it comes to the shush this is where they have fallen off in my opinion. It looks like they have recently changed sushi chefs to a younger chef. Before the rolls would be packed with fish/filling with just the right amount of rice on the outside and they always held together with only a little bit of tempura flake if any inside. Now with the new chef, the rolls have gone down hill in my opinion. This new chef LOADS both spicy rolls with tempura flakes to the point where I’ve had individual pieces end up being half tempura flakes(each visit seems to have more flakes then the last). This completely destroys the roll as all I can taste is the fried flakes and none of the other ingredients or fish. These rolls also start to fall apart sometimes and it seems like he is trying to compensate by adding more rice to try to make the rolls hold together. The service is good and the staff is friendly. I will agree with another review I read in that they do not pace the food properly. I too have had all my food I front of me. I can see both sides of this, but on the customer side it almost feels like I’m being rushed out. Not a bad negative though in the big picture. I have not had the opportunity to try the hibachi but it always sounds fun if that’s any consolation. Like I said this would of been a five star shoe in a few months ago for me but the sushi has not remained consistent. I will try again, without a doubt, and may revise this review if it continues its trend down or ends up getting corrected(which I hope it does)

This is my favorite hibachi of all time! Can’t say anything for the sushi but the hibbbachi has large portions and they give you both rice and noodles! The salmon and scallops are delicious. The cooks will cook your steak exactly how you like it! Delicious! 22 $ currently for pick two items way better of a deal than 19 $ for salmon.

This place is amazing as far as the food is concerned. By far without a doubt the best hibachi in the area! I easily would’ve given this place 5 stars however unfortunately on numerous occasions we have made reservations and never once have they seated us even near the time.(Ex. Made a reservation for 7pm was sat at 7:45pm) and that’s on the early side. The waiters and waitresses have ZERO personality it’s almost like they’re told not to talk the customers at all or they’re just miserable. Either way the food is fantastic and I’ll continue to come here because how amazing the food is however if the food goes downhill then I’ll stop coming here until then I can deal with the other crap.

Stopped in on a whim and was treated to an incredible lunch courtesy of the bento box. Definitely worth the stop.

If your looking for a fun something different dinner date on a Saturday night… This is your place! The chefs are hilarious and the food is unreal! I got the chicken dinner and for $ 19 it comes with soup, salad, vegetables, rice, noodles, shrimp, and of course the chicken!!! I love hibachi grills and this does not disappoint! I will recommend this to everyone I talk too! YUM!

Came in for dinner. Sat on the non-hibachi side to get a table for four. Hibachi side crowded and eventually the non-H side filled up as well. Tables are best suited for two, with four its pretty crowded when you have appetizers, drinks and entrees on your table. We had two kids and two adults — four adults would have been a bit miserable. Kids ordered chicken wings — 4 – 5, which were kind of pathetic in size. Tasted good, deep fried, but a bit anorexic in size. Son and daughter split pad thai and an order of california rolls. Pad thai was lacking in flavor and color — little bland looking. Diced peanuts, bean sprouts on the side, but still lacked flavor. California rolls typical. Wife had a Shrimp Udon Hot Pot. When we think Hot Pot, we think bowl of steaming«hot» soup — soup was very warm, but far from steaming hot pot. Noodles were good, ingredients okay. I had a Chicken Yaki Udon — «fried» noodles in gravy with chicken — tasted good, better than the Udon Soup or the Pad Thai. Split with my starving son. Meals came with three salads and two soups. Not certain which meal came with which, but we shared. Overall, a fine dinner in Mansfield. Place was busy, service was fine. No leftovers and typical price — $$ for four.

I love the hibachi! The food is delicious and fresh. The noodles and rice are so yummy I wish I could order them fresh off the grill all the time! The drinks are reasonably priced and nice(stiff!) Not watered down. The«show”/flair is entertaining. Good for dates, friends, birthdays, etc. Good prices. Really enjoy the scallops, salmon and steak

This place is another decent asian place for the area. I do think it tastes better than asia grill and there are more options I believe. The few times I have gone here I had a good experience. Everything is pick up only if you are not dining in. There isn’t delivery and it was a but of a hassle because of that. I only came when I got the car from my parents all the way back in nyc. The sushi is decent and the salmon teriyaki is pretty good. The habachi is a nice addition. They cook it nicely. It is cool to watch them do it.

Great Hibachi here! This is my go-to place for hibachi in the Mansfield area and I have yet to be disappointed! This place always seems busy, which is a good thing! Sometimes the service can be a bit slow if they are slammed on a Saturday night, but the chefs at the Hibachi know how to have a good time and encourage you to do so as well!

Will not be going back. The biggest issue was that my boyfriend ordered the chicken and scallop hibachi combo, and our hibachi chef, Andrew, forgot to give him chicken. He had miscounted and gave everyone else a portion of it. He clearly looked embarrassed and upset at his mistake. Now, this could have been simply fixed, but Andrew handled the situation very poor, and awkwardly told a random waiter to cook the chicken in the back kitchen. He was not very communicative with this request to the waiter, and the waiter brought the raw chicken back to the table. Andrew had already cleaned the grill, so he sent her back, and we heard no update or explanation of when my boyfriend would be receiving the other half of his meal. The worst part was we were charged for the chicken he didn’t receive, and had to explain to another waiter that we never received it and the charge needed to be taken off. We were still waiting for this issue to be resolved while paying, but then noticed Andrew had simply moved onto another station to cook for more people. So, so, so displeased with the lack of customer service. Get your act together. If you don’t fix an error on the restaurant’s end, the customer is never going to come back, like me.

awesome fresh sushi, one of the best places around here. I really enjoy Saga at Pats place but I’ve heard recent rumors of unsanitary conditions. Sake is always fast, fresh and tastey. I love the spicy Salmon, shrimp tempura and the crazy roll!

Went there tonight at 8 pm. Restaurant not busy were able to get seated right away. Ordered one drink. Soup and salad arrived before my drink. The cook for hibachi had no enthusiasm forgot about vegetable tossing. Offered after we all had are food and then offered sake for the first time. I ordered chicken and lobster tail. My lobster tail tasted freezer burn and still had shells on it. When the waitress came and asked how it was I told her. She proceeded to bring me my bill. I had to ask her to take the lobster tail off and then her response was, I can give you coupon for future purchase. I told her no, I didn’t know when if ever I would be back. She then asked if I wanted another order. I was already done. Again I told her I just wanted it off my bill. She then repeated what I said looked surprised and told me she would have to ask the manager. Really? Food has very little flavor and for the price lacked entertainment. Next time I will stick to hibachi in Franklin. It’s well worth the extra 15 minute drive.

Ohhh Sake. How do I rate thee? First time coming here. Will update in the future. We got pickup, drove on down to this widdle gem. Couldnt find it when the GPS said we were there. Suddenly my body went stiff and I was unintentionally channeling the Asian spirits of a time when lore was fact, and dragons raped the skies. Cold sweat beaded on my brow and my eyes clouded over in a milky white. «Take a left… here. Into Mansfield Crossing.» «Now take a right.» My eyes snapped back into focus, and color. My spirit pulled back to earth like a hammer slamming down on an anvil. We were there. A group of Asians were waiting outside because they were closing. Grabbed our food inside, the chef was very accommodating about allowing us extra ginger. We had ordered 3 rolls and the chicken fried rice. The three rolls were good, but nothing to write home about. I’ve had cheaper sushi elsewhere that tasted fresher and better. But this could be due to them closing. The chicken friend rice though… It was 9 dollars, but was so good I fell back at the first bite and imagined myself on the Great Wall of China with Cirrus Clouds whipping by my face during twilight. I highly recommend. At this point my date went home because I kept passing out or having my eyes go white/seizing. I think I had low blood sugar that night.

Haven’t had the hibachi here yet but it is busy on the weekend when I have been here. I like the pork gyoza, Bento box(lunch — you get a lot of food for ~$ 11), spicy tuna roll(the consistency of the tuna is really great here — anyplace else and I have a real texture issue! But not here, it’s awesome!), chicken roll which is on their tablet, philly roll and Boston roll. All pretty basic but really yummy.

i would say, 2.5 stars overall. walked in with a friend around 3:30pm(give and take) on a week day; aiming for lunch but whatever goes. décor is nice; they obviously put effort into it(or maybe i’m doing a home reno myself so senses kinda sharpened)… hostess seated us, waiter came to take order, waitress/bus lady(?) came to check on us and refilled beverages. was a little confused w/the latter two. food: passable. except that the teriyaki beef skewer was chewy and bland(slathered in sauce), raw fish on top of one of the rolls was giving me frostbite, and the volcano roll was just way too explosive for either of us(had to pick out the jalapeño after the first piece). the chopped tuna on top of the volcano is… kind of a mush too. the other two rolls w/soft shell crab and tempura shrimps were pretty good — portion is satisfying too! spider roll has a cute plating. service: like said above, a bit odd. i would say the staff were trying, and not being rude at all. but it’s just not quite up to standard(lack of training? management issues, perhaps?). example 1: i looked all over the menu for the time limit on the lunch special(which is a pretty good deal!), but to no avail. figured it’d be over by then, but thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask. waiter response was: «naw, that’s over.» maybe it’s just me, but his tone sounded a little bit along the lines of «shouldn’t you know?» to me. like i said, he wasn’t trying to be rude, but know that if your menu didn’t say, you can’t fault me for not knowing(hence asking). example 2: secondary waitress/bus lady came by to check on our table, asked us how the food was, asked if we needed refills on our hot tea, gave us to-go box(did she give us the check too? hmmm). again, i KNOW she wanted to provide service, but the rather abrupt«excuse me!» just startled me every time she approached. and she did her tea refill at the wrong timing — first time too early when our cups were still at least 60% full, next time too late at the very end of our meal, when we had emptied our cups for a while. what’s more, when we got the bill, i found that they did charge a couple dollars for the tea. well if that’s the case, then i shall hold you to an even tighter standard for the refill! all in all, not a bad experience; would give 2.5 stars if allowed. just not rushing to go back, either, for the $ 60 lunch for 2 it ended up to be. btw, the bathroom was kinda meh too. basic bolt lock with the stopper looking like the head of a nail/screw. real classy.

Hibachi. What can you say? Its more of a show than a flavor centered meal. That being said, they focus on the presentation and not the quality of the food they serve and everything off of the grill tasted pretty much the same. Salty, greasy… is that a flavor? Two stars for being edible and for not getting food poisoning. The hibachi chef was entertaining, however, our chop stick throwing rude waitress Kiki bailed on us for the evening — never to be seen again. The manager later said she left for New York. Thanks for that drink refill, Kiki.

Sake Steak House Overall 4 Stars Gold medal — Filet Silver medal — Sashimi Salad Bronze medal — Fried Oysters Sake has great sushi, sake, and hibachi. The filet was tasty, soft, and flavorful. The sashimi salad comes with a generous amount of sashimi. I like eating the sashimi with wasabi and soy sauce, like I would a assorted sashimi dish. The fried oysters were crispy with a nice juicy inside. Sake was a very fun experience with the hibachi grill, a great selection of sake, and the various dishes they offer. HAPPYHIBACHING!!!

In the words of the greatest of all international spies, Austin Powers: «Sake it to me, baybay, yeahhhh!» Our party-o-8 arrived for our Friday 7:30p reservation to find a 30min wait ahead of us. No bother, we just cosied up to the bar. A tight squeeze and décor reminiscent of my DDR days, we packed into the tight space and placed our orders with the flighty bartendress. Finding myself fancying a swim, I ordered the Red Hawaiian scorpion bowl to «share» with the beau; served in a bowl large enough to serve as a fine home for any goldfish. The beverage was $ 14 and deeeeelicious. By 8pm we were seated in the LOUD hibachi room(there were at LEAST five birthdays in progress, and they clang the gong every.time.they.sing). We placed our orders for dinner and drink(round two: piña colada, DELISH but pretty weak). After a round of soup and salad(yummy ginger/peanut dressing), our hibachi«master» arrived. But, he wasn’t really a master. Sure he «hup!» and«ho!”-ed and clanged his metal spatulas around in a mildly impressive manner, but he also: 1) flung a raw egg at a guest(it cracked open on his plate), 2) squirted sake at unwilling participants(and got it all over more than one person’s shirt), 3) mixed up meat orders, and 4) over-sauced the vegetables. My veggie hibachi dinner included: soup, salad, a HEAP of rice and noodles, and uh, yeah… a few vegetables. But was the experience worth the $ 24 tag? — not really. I probably won’t return; mostly because of the close proximity of maaany many other hibachi grills, but also due to the bland nature of our visit.
