Richland Carousel Park

I am from Nebraska and when we visit my sister we bring all the kids. We all have a great time!

I am such a big kid… My boyfriend and I went to Crestline for an event and we passed through Mansfield on the way. I knew the carousel was there so I sweet talked him into going with me… ok actually I threw a fit like a child saying that I wanted to go nooowwwww!!! He’s so patient and tolerant. :)
We walked in, and I was whisked away to simpler times. They have a neat gift shop and rides are only $ 1 per person or $ 5 for 6 rides! After you purchase your ticket you get to go to the animal of your choice. They all had on masks for Halloween, and I picked a rabbit with some super long ears. Boyfriend hopped on the animal next to mine and I laughed like a giddy five year old as the organ came to life and my rabbit hopped up and down to the music.
This place is such a neat place for both children and adults… errr big kids trapped in grown up bodies… The man running the carousel was incredibly friendly and he even gave us a free ride because nobody else was there!
If you are driving through town, go check it out. There is a big parking lot across the street, an amazing art store called Element of Art, where you can purchase pieces done by local artists with disabilities… incredible. Be sure to eat at the cute little Coney Island next door before you leave.

My husband was brought here often as a kid and now we’re excited to bring our son whenever we’re in town! A beautiful carousel right in the middle of downtown. $ 1/​ride or 6 rides for $ 5. Under 2 ride free with adult. Lots of fun! Our 16-​month-​old loved it!
