Papa V’s Pizzeria

I got a pretty atrocious pizza from Papa V’s tonight. Now, just to show that I’m being fair, I will actually give them credit for delivering it quicker than expected. However, it would seem that the delivery speed was due, at least in part, to the fact that this pie could have probably spent another 5 minutes AT LEAST in the oven. I realized this quickly upon discovering that most of the interior of the pizza had the consistency of a nice tomato bisque. Seriously, after picking up a slice, it did not take long for the toppings to begin falling off due to the epic droopage that was happening. Speaking of toppings, I ordered a medium pepperoni and sausage. I received a medium pepperoni and «unidentified substance/​might be fried blue cheese bits/​might be pieces of okra.» I legit still have no clue what the sausage substitute was, and that’s not to say the taste was irredeemably awful on that ground alone, it just wasn’t… right. At all. So, I can’t necessarily say it’s the worst pizza I’ve ever had, but I do think it may be in the bottom 10 or so. I also don’t think it was a very good value. The medium pizza, delivered, was over $ 14. There is a Pizza Hut in this town and I am quite confident that I could get 2 mediums for the same price or less. Bottom line: If this place is as good as some of the other reviewers on here claim, that was not evident tonight.

Always have loved Papa Vs but lately it has not been the same. Today received doughy garlic knots. A chicken parm sub where the contents were burnt to a crisp so obviously very dry yet the sub roll was burnt on one side and too soggy to pick up on the other side. Had to add own seasonings and completely recook the sub to eat it. Also a cheesesteak but am currently waiting for it to finish cooking because once again the bread had disolved completely in the ten minutes it took to get it home!

This is probably my favorite place to eat in Mansfield. Staff is always super friendly and attentive. Prices are fair. Has a nice feel.

So I walked into an amazing little restaurant which was recommended by the hotel, the place was nice and the staff was good;however, I ordered a small Stromboli because I do not like ricotta cheese and the waitress ordered me a calzone instead. A calzone had ricotta cheese in it and she did not even offer to discount it.
As I didn’t ask for a discount you would of thought it would be customary to fix the issue, but instead I payed for food I did not want. As I am not a local, even if this was the last place that was open when I came back I would order from somewhere else even if it was out of my way.

Papa Vs is a great little pizzeria! The food is really good and so is the atmosphere. Their fried calamari is amazing! The only down side is when they are busy getting take out can be a little long. But it is worth the wait.

Amazing pizza and everything else! Very friendly staff and a very clean and updated interior. We use this place to cater classes at my office all the time and have never had a complaint. So far it’s the best pizza place in the area I have had. You can’t go wrong here at all

We were traveling from Baltimore, MD to Rochester, NY and were needing a family friendly place to stop for dinner with a 3 year old and a 4 month old. We had originally pulled off in Mansfield to go to the brewery on Main Street. However, there was a 15 minute wait there and the family didn’t want to wait. So we walked across the street to Papa V’s Pizzeria.
From the outside Papa V’s doesn’t look like much, but on the inside they have a very nice dining area. It’s warm, cozy and clean. The waitress seated us quickly and was so kind as to bring our 3 year old a couple coloring books and some crayons. That made her night.
For food, my 3 year old got the macaroni and cheese which was absolutely delicious (the wife and I snuck a few bites from the large portion), my wife got the spaghetti with marinara sauce, and I got the lasagna. We also all shared an order of garlic knots.
Hands down, the lasagna was some of the best lasagna that I’ve had in a long time and the garlic knots were scrumptious. It was the perfect meal to get me through the long car ride. The wife mentioned she really enjoyed the spaghetti as well.
At the end of the night we packed up, paid the bill, and headed out to continue our car ride. As we were getting the kids into our car, the waitress came running up the street with a baby formula warming thermos that we had left behind on the table. From the minute we arrived, to ordering and delivering our food, to running down the street to return something we left behind, the customer service from our waitress was exceptional.
Great food, convenient location, and exceptional staff. What more could you ask for? We definitely plan on heading back to Papa V’s again on a future ride between Baltimore and Rochester.

Nothing fancy here, but the service was efficient — friendly and fast. The tossed salad was good — better than I expected at a place like this in a small town, with high-​quality fresh greens. More importantly, the pizza was well-​executed, with a good flavorful crust.

Traveling from out of town and previously from NY, pizza was excellent and the service as quick. Try the house dressing!

Nice atmosphere. Pretty basic Italian fare. New York style pizza done very well. Nice thin crust, a little greasy but very flavorful. Had an angus burger wrap with hot sauce and bleu cheese. Excellent! Very tasty.
Highlight was a green garden salad with a nice vinegarette. Way way good!
Service brought no complaints. I’ll be back.

We are from out of town and asked the hotel staff for a recommendation. They suggested Papa V’s and we were very happy we went here! I often have special requests for salads (romaine, no croutons, etc.) and the server was very gracious. She got our orders perfectly an the food was delicious! My husband ordered his Fiery Chicken salad extra spicy and he loved it!

Food is very good and decently priced. Can get busy at times and the dining room is small, but there is outdoor seating as well. Some of the soda is bottled, so make sure you ask for the fountain drinks if you want a refill.

Waitress was very friendly and the pizza was great.

Tasty pizza, fare price! Me and a few friends from MU college tried this restaurant out and ordered a few pizzas. The pizza was great, however it is very thin. If you are a fan of thin crust pizza, this restaurant is for you! The restaurant is very nice, clean, and the waitresses are great! Best of all, the price is very fare for a good pizza.

Got pizza delivered last night, it was awesome. Pepperoni and onion. Good stuff.
