Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course

Awesome place if you are a Sports/​Indy Car fan. Nonstop racing from the time we set up our campers Friday morning until Sunday evening.
Some of the favorite things are.
1. Location; we were camped out at the track and didn’t have to go anywhere.
2. Drivers; access to the drivers were ongoing and plentiful. Michael Andretti drove his cart to our area and stopped to talk.
3. Geography; rolling hills and elevation changes make for a great track.
4. Track access; great viewing points throughout the facility and available on a first come basis.

Wow mid ohio are making a lot of improvements. The women’s sinks no longer give you a shower when you wash your hands. It seemed s lot cleaner overall.

Love to watch the Indy 200 here. The food is ok, but pizza is poor this year2015! They need a major brand.

So as everyone knows the mid-​ohio track is one of the best and garners a 5 star review, however I am not a driver but a fan so I have to give it only 4 stars. The facilities seem outdated, and the only reason I’m not certain about this, is because this is the only track I’ve ever been to. Bring cash, also the food is overpriced/​gross, and if you are a vegetarian eat beforehand. Be prepared for a really long walk on race day (especially for larger events), and hope it doesn’t rain, because you are going to get muddy.
I guess the really old bleachers, crappy food, and smelly old bathrooms are a part of the charm. You will have fun because this track is one of the best and the races are always enjoyable. If you come for a large race I would recommend the bleachers at the end of the straightaway.

To the Administrators of Mid-​Ohio Sports Car Course;
This is a lovely track. Amateur and pros, novices and the super high-​profile alike and their families and fans spend time here. The track itself is great, but for a track that hosts high profile events like IndyCar, everything around the track is mediocre at best. It doesn’t appear that any profits from the track has been put into the infrastructure at all. The grandstands seem to be in poor condition and the pedestrian walkways are in equally poor condition. The grassy areas are the best area to sit and watch the race – especially around Turn 5. Anyway, I beg you to please start putting some effort into the Race Course as a whole.

Beware of Lexington OH ! You will be pulled over and harassed by the vigilante police dept. go to the great track, Spend your money in a different local town!

If you’re a fan of racing, this track is absolutely amazing.
As an amatuer racer, I frequent this track with the BMW club and SCCA for weekend driving events, and let me tell you — this track gets your heart pumping! A pristine surface, some technically amazing turns (insanity out of the back straight is my favourite!) and a great time over all.
They also offer a bevy of driving courses as well as motorcycles courses. A must visit for any automotive enthusiast!

My teenage son and his friend took the defensive driving class here — it is a terrific, live-​saving course. There is plenty to learn from teen and parent alike. The instructors have great credibility with the kids and the day is fast-​paced and engaging. Very worthwhile.

My husband frequently races here with Team Honda Racing for various NASA and SCCA events. I am usually forced to go to be the loving wife that I am and support my man! BUT… I definitely enjoy this race track! I think it is a beautiful course and has many different great locations to watch the races that are easy to walk to, just bring a chair or blanket and chill out! The staff I have encountered are always friendly and helpful. The only negative is the overpriced food at the concession stands. Easy fix… bring your own food!

I love Mid-​Ohio! I have attended AMA motorcycle races, and Vintage Motorcycle Days here for several years. My fiancé actually races, so not only have I been a spectator, but also pit crew. Mid-​O is awesome, great facilities, helpful staff (even when they have to deal with lots of crazy people), and fantastic track. I’ve had the privilege of riding the track during Vintage Days on their «Lap for History» — yeah I only got to go about 40 mph tops, but it was still amazing!
