I have practiced yoga for over 8 years and I was thrilled to find the Gratitude Yoga Studio last year. I visit this studio at least three to four times every week. They have all levels and types of classes with caring, loving trainers everyday. I have learned more this last year there than all the years before. Every teacher goes way beyond and takes the extra steps to help you with each pose. There are lots of Yoga instructors in the Metroplex but none as well trained nor more caring and loving as those at Gratitude. I am lucky to be able to have them in my daily life.

I was looking for a place that practices yoga — not just the physical yoga, but compassion, acceptance, non-judgement, goodwill, humility & support — I did not find it here. I found a studio that sold classes, workshops, teacher training programs, group vacations, etc. For over two years I practiced twice weekly at Gratitude with the owner. I steered clear of the drama other students discussed before classes. The atmosphere behind the scenes is like high school — cliques, gossiping, and so on. My trouble happened when I agreed to be a part of the studio’s «Pilgrimage to India». After I’d paid for my air fare & the trip, itself, it became more & more obvious that the lack of transparency about this trip would not change. We left the U.S. for India not even able to tell our families where we were staying. When I asked questions(which we were encouraged to do when they sold us the trip), the owner became angry & rather than contact me personally & discuss my questions, etc., she chose to air her grievances with the other teachers & a class full of students at her studio. I felt this was unprofessional & non-yogic behavior. Suffice it to say, I no longer practice at Gratitude. There are other studios & classes available in the area that value their students as clients & as people.

I have been going here for 3 months now and have loved it for the most part. Two major issues: It is expensive and sometimes they have too many students in the class. One minor issue is some of the instructors are not good at guiding folks through their practice. I am doing the new student special currently($ 39 for one month) and got the groupon deal($ 39 for 10 classes) making this affordable for two months. After that I will probably stop going. The prices are expensive! Drop in classes are $ 14 and annual membership is $ 1300(~$ 108/month). If I wanted to prepay for a year of membership, I should get the best deal out there. However, the best deal is the auto renewal unlimited monthly membership of $ 99/month. That is alot of money compared to a Gym membership. A few of the classes I have taken have had too many people in them. I ended up spending most of the class trying not to hit another person versus enjoying my practice. Hard to center yourself and relax with that going on. I wish some of the instructors would guide students more. I see some folks doing things completely wrong and the instructor is not watching or guiding them. Overall this is a beautiful yoga studio with some great instructors. If money isn’t a problem and you don’t mind a full class from time to time, it is okay. UPDATE: I have lost two class credits due to arriving 3 – 6 minutes late. They lock the door and you lose your class! Don’t bother signing up for the classes just show up. They always let you in regardless of how full and that way you don’t lose your money!

I practiced here several times anticipating a great yogi experience. I was quickly let down each visit! There was always some sort of staffing confusion: someone was subbing, the schedule had changed last minute, or a class was cancelled altogether. The studio IS very pretty and new. However, the vibe inside this studio has convinced me to stay at my current studio. Mainly, the energy at Gratitude Yoga is very fake, negative, and judgmental it feels.
