Good and affordable traditional American food is sometimes hard to come by these days. I was driving from Ithaca, NY, to Adelphi, MD, and started craving the yummies half way through the drive along the scenic I-99/PA-15. I got into Mansfield and started Unilocaling for lunch. Grammie’s was my first port of call but unfortunately, it was closed. So, I headed back up north along 15 to Cast and Crew. I had scanned the menu beforehand and knew I was going to go for the cordon bleu. This was around 4pm, so it wasn’t crowded. Service was exceptional. After placing my order, my salad almost immediately followed. Steaming bread arrived moments later. I would have loved regular butter by default instead of the whipped variety(which also for some reason seemed unusually sweet). I could see the chef doing his magic from across the room. Soon enough, my cordon bleu appeared. It was a well crafted plate.(Plating is an all-too-important aspect that tends to be often neglected at establishments that otherwise serve good food. This can make or break the entire dish or culinary experience.) Healthy portions of sauteed veg and mashed potatoes accompanied the chicken, which came with generous amounts of sauce(something that tends to be lacking in many an otherwise good dish). I love salt and pepper and had to add quite a bit to make my forkfuls more appetizing(but that takes nothing away from the dish itself). After demolishing such an excellent plate, I felt pretty full, but I couldn’t ignore the glowing reviews of the turtle cheesecake enchilada. So, I caved in and ordered one. It was good, but I didn’t find it eye-popping(I’m not big on desserts in general, though, and I guess it wasn’t an entirely new experience for me). I couldn’t finish it and took ¾ to go. All in all, I had a great experience. Service was top notch. Plating was fabulous. And I would certainly stop in next time to try other offerings. Also love the creative approach to the menu.

My daughter and I stopped in for dinner after it was recommended to us by some locals after we told them we are foodies. It looks like a dumpy little diner from the outside. Don’t be deceived. This place is fantastic. The chef really knows what he’s doing. We decided to be adventurous and order«Dinner in the Round,» which is a four-course meal consisting of whatever the chef’s imagination can cook up. It was delicious! The appetizer was wonderful. Can only be described as «nachos»(that doesn’t do it justice): fried crisps smothered with a wonderful cream sauce and topped with large shrimp. To die for. Our salad was fresh greens with a delicious sweet vinagrette. Our entrée was cooked-to-perfection filet mignon, with fresh veggies, a tasty pasta salad, mashed potatoes that i can’t even begin to describe they were so good, and a type of fish cake with bacon and cheese. Those were unbelievably good. For dessert, a large presentation of two brownies, topped with fresh strawberries, smothered in chocolate and carmel sauce and whipped cream, with two toasted marshmallows on top. All for $ 54! This place is great. We went early for dinner on a Wednesday, and by the time we left, the place has filled up. Clearly the locals know about this delicious gem.

It was delicious traditional American food. The bread was warm with a sweet cream butter. The side salad wasn’t fancy but the ranch dressing was really good. I ordered the bacon Mac and cheese. It was delicious. Fair warning it was a little greasy(let’s be honest though. You don’t order bacon Mac and cheese and expect a healthy dish) I enjoyed it and I am a Mac and cheese lover. Nothing but the good stuff for me. Mmm. I stole some of my mom’s 79er cheese steak which was great. I love that they have clear birch beer(Which is hard to find in NY State where I’m from.) Service was a little slow but it was Friday night on a holiday weekend so I don’t hold that against them. The staff were friendly and polite. Let’s be clear the highlight of the night was the dessert. The turtle cheesecake enchilada was spectacular! I have no regrets. It was cheese cake filling in a fried(baked?) tortilla drizzled with hot fudge and maple syrup and topped with chopped pecans. AMAZING!!! Get this! I will definitely stop by the next time I’m in the area. I highly recommend it!

Eclectic menu w chef options. Tell him what u don’t want i.e. In your salad. And then it’s up him to make whatever he feels like. Obviously there are regular choices as well, but letting the chef run wild w a burger, salad or pasta seems like a great idea. An excellent stop in Mansfield Pa

I had the I Love Lucy burger, Shelly had French Onion soup and Bacon, Cheese Fries, Katlyn and Mom had wraps. Then Katlyn ordered the Curtain Call for dessert… chef’s choice, you pick what you want, don’t want or are allergic to and he’ll do the rest… ended up w/fried dough on top of chocolate and cream cheese on top of monkey bread. Everything was excellent and filling. Considering it was Homecoming Weekend, food came out very quickly. Oh yeah, saw the Uncle Buck at table next to us… a 27.5″ pepperoni and sausage pizza… WOW! I definitely recommend Cast and Crew…“never trust a skinny chef”.

Great belushi burger and chicken, bacon ranch wrap. Small dinner salad was lame, but the blue cheese dressing was great.

Smelled like a truck stop men’s room upon entry. Dark and dingy, zero atmosphere for a restaurant that was highly rated on Unilocal.(What were you people thinking???) Food was extremely sub par for the prices listed. Waitress was great but food was slow coming out. Would absolutely not return. Ever.

Not a fan. No parking. Looks like a run down ice cream stand. Food was average

Huge menu with lots of options. Small dining room but very quaint. There were more 3 options on the menu for the chefs choice of toppings. I ordered the«Stewie Griffin» the chefs choice burger. It was really good and the fries are fresh cut. I will definitely stop again my next trip through northern PA.

I eat here every time I come to Mansfield. That atmosphere is not high class but the quality of the food is wonderful. If you like spicy the salad de muerte is awesome. BYOB

After seeing all the great reviews on here I had to check this place out. The atmosphere was had a small diner feel and the waitress was very attentive and friendly. I started off ordering wings as an appetizer. They were extremely dry and covered in a ton of sauce. For an entrée I ordered the Asian chicken salad with shrimp. The shrimp and chicken tastes tough and like they were microwaved. The salad was very sparse and mostly the tough romaine hearts, very few leaves. I honestly couldn’t even finish more than half. I was extremely disappointed, maybe my mistake was going in at 8:30pm. Either way I expect quality food when you’re charging $ 13 for a salad. Worst $ 25 I’ve spent in Mansfield. So bad that it’ll be very hard for me to give this place a second chance. I’d suggest trying Yorkholo Brewery or Papa Vs down the road.

I really like how I can just tell them what I am in the mood for, and the chef will make something delicious! Perfect for people like me who look at a menu, and can’t decide on what to get.

I’m sitting here right now waiting for my meal and I have to say the anticipation is killing me. I had a burger called the covered wagon here last night and it was glorious. I figured I’d step it up tonight and order an entrée. I’m in Mansfield for a week and the menu is huge, so I’m concerned that I’m only going to be scratching the surface.

WOW! My wife and I were travelling and stopped in Mansfield for the night. We looked on Unilocal for places to eat and ended up at Cast and Crew. This place was AWESOME! They have a lot of really unique sandwiches and dishes, all named after celebrities. I had the Messy Joe Pesci and it was out of this world. We also decided to try the Turtle Cheesecake Enchilada for desert. I’ve never had anything like this in my life. I only wish we lived around here so we could come back. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll definitely be stopping back here for a good meal!

We had this as our second choice. But unfortunately the brewery is only offering diner until 7 pm. From outside it is not that much inviting but the restaurant is really to recommend. Service is friendly and attentive. The kitchen crew is cooking with creative ideas and interpreting classic dishes in a funky way. Very nice. I had the steel city surf and turf. Was great. I tasted a wrap as well. Yummy. The starter a la chef for two was funky and very tasty too. Just a minor comment. I would ask for a steak knife next time :) This restaurant is my first choice in Mansfield now! Keep it up, guys!

I just finished my meal here and couldn’t wait to review it. The service is a little slow since everything is made to order, so don’t come here if you’re in a hurry. The burgers were amazing. I got the copyright infringement burger and it was enormous and wonderful. I would definitely come back to the the other burgers and sandwiches. I can’t speak to the pasta and pizza though, as I didn’t even see any other tables order them.

I travel constantly for work and I like to end my days finding really interesting and skillful local food in whichever city I find myself. Unilocal has helped me find some really amazing menus and tonight has floored me! I initially bypassed this listing because there were only 9 reviews but when I read them, I was sold! The whole menu is Hollywood-themed(entrée names) and looks SOOO interesting and good. Tonight, I could be adventurous and order the mystery meal, the Dare To Dine, where the chefs surprise you with an impromptu creation. And WOW!!! I wasn’t ready for this mouthwatering dish! A succulent and juicy 16oz T-bone, grilled shrimp in Marsala sauce, bacon-infused crabcake, mashed taters and sautéed veggies!!! Everything was perfect and tasted amazing! No steak sauce needed! I recommend this place highly! This meal ranks in the top 5 of dinners on the road. Get here!
