The bagel sandwiches could be really good (especially if you are hungover) but they don’t let you put cream cheese on them and the woman at the counter is extremely rude. My friend asked for a side of cream cheese to put on the bagel sandwich and she gave us a small contain and then said «I don’t have a knife.» What kind of a good establishment doesn’t have a knife?! She’s just being a b****. I will not be returning. She’s also only nice to UConn athletes and is rude and bitter to everyone else. Maybe someone suggest that she should read her reviews?

The food is delicious but the woman there is awful. She is rude to everyone she comes in contact with. It used to be the only place around so I’ve been there a number of times and I always walked away having witnessed or experienced appalling rudeness.

I’ll have to admit, the food is good. But it’s not worth the treatment you receive as a customer. The woman behind the counter is possibly the rudest business owner I have ever encountered. It almost seems as though your business is a burden. In any event, I used to put up with the terrible service because there were no alternatives. Then Wally’s Chicken Coop opened. It’s not even 2 miles away, great food, and top notch customer service. My advice? Go to Wally’s.

The food is okay here, but the service is awful. There’s always a long line on weekend mornings and the lady behind the counter is usually in a bad mood. The bagel flavors don’t face the counter so they’re awkward to read and they usually run out of most flavors. The iced coffee is pretty good tho.

Best bagel I have ever had outside of NYC. Great assortment of bagels, cream cheeses and coffees. The most popular breakfast place for UConn students, wish I was still in school so I could continue to eat their delicious bagels! Always a line out the door on weekends. Family owned and great prices. Can’t get better than bagel zone!

Had sausage egg bagel which was decent. Then asked for a cup of hot water to make formula for my baby and after giving her tip she charged me for the cup. What? Serious? She was an old grumpy owner anyways. No wonder why it’s slow there. Would have been two stars but service sucked !
