Stingers

I’ve only ordered takeout from here and was disappointed. The pizza had no crunch to it and drooped (sign that dough was not cooked long enough) and the toppings were diced so thin i couldn’t tell what was on the pizza.

After several more trips to Stingers I am happy to give them 5 stars. Picked up a pizza today and they inadvertently put the wrong toppings on the pizza. The staff noticed their mistake, called me as I was getting close to home, and had already put a new pizza in the oven for us with the correct toppings.
They delivered our new pizza, offered for us to keep both, and refused my offer of a tip for the driver. Great customer service and follow up from the staff at Stingers today.

I have been to Stingers now a couple of times and its hit or miss. The last time I went the pizza was amazing. The crust was crispy, right amount of sauce and cheese. The time before that it looked like no matter how much viagra was around the slice of pizza I got just wouldn’t… To tell if you pizza is of goo consistency, you first take your slice and fold it, if your slice does not droop or in this case be flaccid well then you got a pizza with all the right amount of ingredients. I will say this much they always have good music playing over the juke box.

Great wings. Good beers on tap. Good pizza. I’m not a fan of some of the other items on the menu, but this is my go-​to place for wings.

We came in on an empty Monday night. We ordered one slice of pizza, a tossed salad, and 10 wings at 5:50 p.m. 35 minutes later we got the food after asking at the counter where it was.
After I submitted my initial review I read other ones for Stinger’s and found the exact same feedback as mine. The food really is good; I think the problem is the expectation that it will be «fast service» because you order at a counter and they have a limited menu of family-​friendly grub. Just don’t go here when you want a quick meal.
I wish I could love this place but frankly it’s a very frustrating.

I had one of the best cheesesteaks I have ever had (I have eaten a lot of cheesesteaks in my time) at Stingers. Beats many of the «famous» places I have been to in Philly. It was fantastic. Great place… I wish I lived closer!!!

Food is great. Waiting on the other hand is outrageous. I ordered a Crispy BBQ Chicken Wrap and it took 50 minutes to be served. I walked up to ask when it would be ready and it was just sitting there on the counter top. I’ve had their pizza previous to this time and a slice only takes a couple minutes to reheat, which is good. But again, waiting is way too long for the style they are making.

Whether you are the only customer in the dining area or if it’s full of customers, you will wait 45 minutes for your pizza! It’s just ludicrous! Staff doesn’t seem to care either. Pizza is good when it finally comes out. Draft beer selection is solid. Now, we only go when invited by friends or a party for the kiddos.

Two problems with recent visits. First, I ordered wings to go on a Saturday night. I picked up the order, went home, poured a beer and sat down to enjoy my wings and watch a football game. To my horror, the wings were dry, looked like they were just sitting around, not enough sauce on them and I had to throw 2 wings away. I used the contact sheet on the Trappers web page, explaining my ordeal. Never heard from them. I called about a week later, and was told that usually the web site is checked and they apologized for the bad food and said they would send me a gift certificate. Never received anything.
Second problem: Went to dinner on a recent Friday night. Ordered some wings (they were okay) and two fish dinners. The wings arrived after about 20 minutes. We finished the wings and waited for the fish dinners. The waitress said someone had changed the order to go so they were sitting on the counter. I asked that they be put on plates. The dinners were transferred to the plates, but there was no cole slaw and the fries were cold. Just a bad experience.
The place is very busy and I think that they are going for quantity vs quality. Push as many out the door and some are okay and some are not.
I will not be going back to Stingers and will not go to any of the Trappers restaurants in the area.
Note: on November 3^rd I received a gift certificate in the mail for Stingers. I will give them another try and post my impressions.

This is a good place to go if you’re not looking for a menu with variety and not expecting it to be easy to get a table (i.e., you order at the counter and then hope either one is already available or be ready to outpace other patrons who are also watching closely to be the first to grab one when it *appears* a group is leaving). Food is average — not outstanding but there is certainly much worse!

My husband and I live in Manlius and had never been to Stingers before last week. We went at 8pm on a Friday. Pretty quiet but the bar had a good amount of people. We ordered a white pizza and wings. Both were very good! The staff was nice. Only complaint is that it was pricey but no more than Pavones or Ironwood! A good family restaurant.

Stingers has some of my favorite pizza in Syracuse. Owned and operated by the same people who own Trappers 1 & 2, they know how to run a pizza joint.
They have a good sized bar with a great selection of draft beers (usually rotate a few seasonals/​specials) along with the normal favorites (Blue, Yuengling, Bud, etc). The staff have always been extremely friendly and welcoming, which is always appreciated.
If you’re a fan of trivia, stop in on Wednesday nights — it’s a great time!
My only complaints about Stingers are the prices, which can be high, and when it gets busy it can be hard to find a spot to sit. Overall, I’m a happy regular.
I recommend the spinach and feta pizza or the buffalo chicken pizza — both excellent.

Had the most amazing cheese steak and wings. Loved it!
