SOGOOD. My new go-to local ice cream place. Can’t believe how long the lines are even late at night in the middle of the week — but it’s definitely worth the short wait! Their blizzards are to die for…

First you give to Snow Top is for being an institution. Second is for the soft ice cream which is pretty good. That’s all I got. The line was slow. The pricing was misleading and they seem to be o.k. without a manager on premises. We were in a good mood on a nice day but charging almost double the posted price for cones, unacceptable. Plenty of signage asking you to pick a style of cone but none saying it increases the price. No manager to complain to. Oh well, plenty of other places whose motto isn’t ‘if you have to ask how much, you can’t afford it’.

I used to frequent Sno Top during the summer on our way back to Rochester from my best friend’s grandparents on Lake Moraine, we spent a lot of time at camp and without saying anything, her parents would always stop at Sno Top on the way home. I later then attended SU and realized Sno Top was nearby, and I had to take everyone. The ice cream is always good, lines are long but go quick.

Simply an institution! It’s a MUSTGO spot any night, any day. Long lines should Tell you something! They have dole whip for the vegan and lactose intolerant crowd. Many flavors of «Dips» available Slushies also. You should go, if you’re not already there now

Best icecream shop around. They are nice and fast. Tons of options. This might not be the best icecream that you’ve ever had, but it’s definitely one of the best experiences.

Good icecream however the girls who work there all have attitudes. Like they’re doing us a favor by serving us our icecream. Funny.

I didn’t know it was possible for someone to ruin an ice cream experience for you. But Bethany at Sno Top managed. From the moment we walked up she had an attitude, like she didn’t want to be there and she wanted everyone to know it. On a huge board it says you can create your own sundae, and each extra topping is 70 extra cents, yet she refused to let us add more than 2 toppings and after we asked again for her to please add sprinkles no matter what the cost, a gentleman working there handed us a cup of sprinkles!!! When she handed us our last item(of 3) the guy I was with said thank you, and without skipping a beat she says, um you have to pay. While I’m standing there with money in hand. Which she continues to snatch out of my hand, make change, and hardly get the change in my hand before she slams the screen down… We asked to speak to a manager, but we’re told that there wasn’t one available, but as we walked away we could see her pointing out the window at us. Um thanks, this Sno Top experience that we were all hyped up about is now ruined and we no longer even want ice cream… but we refuse to waste this $ 19 we paid for 3 ice creams… who knows what she charged us for though, no receipt and definitely no extra toppings were to be had!

This place is okay but I give low rating because all they have is soft serve. Wtf is up with that? Gannon’s is a much better ice cream stand by far. One thing I can say that is positive… The glaciers are great. Love em.

Oh Sno-Top! Sno-Top = summer. Awesome soft serve, deliciousness in a cup or cone. Like Dairy Queen but infinitely better. And if you live or lived in the F-M area, you are pretty much guaranteed to see someone you know(for better or worse!).

Sno Top is a Manlius landmark and really the only place in the area to get soft ice cream. Seems like every time we have gone the prices go up and the size of the cones gets smaller. The best place to get Soft Ice Cream is on the side of the Kwik Fill on the Manlius Center and Bowman Rd in East Syracuse. I stopped there on day out of the blue and when they handed me my ice cream I was shocked at how Huge the small was! Their small is the Sno Top large cone. If you go based on location Sno Top wins because it is in walking distance to the Swan Pond and everything else in town. But if you are looking for a great value and a few picnic tables check out the Kwik Fill

Although my family and community wait with baited breath for Sno Top to open every year, I can’t give it a high rating. It all began when I was 2 years old and they refused to let my mom purchase a baby cone, because they don’t have a size appropriate for children. As I grew older and started softball, my coach would treat us to ice cream here at the end of the season and soon the glacier was born– a slushie with ice cream or frozen yogurt inside. Then came high school and I knew almost all the girls who worked here because we went to school together. With age came the ability to do math and I realized even if I ordered the same thing each visit, magically my total was never the same. I checked in with my mom and she confirmed this phenomenon. They never give receipts. The ice cream is good(certainly not the best) but their business practices are dishonest. The line is always long in the summer and often orders are mixed up. Lucky for them they have no real competition.

Today was the first day of Sno Top for me and I ordered my favorite, van/choc twist dipped in chocolate. My daughter ordered the strawberry banana smoothie. Mine was as I expected, smooth, creamy, delicious, and she said that this was her new favorite. I wait through the colder months for Sno Top to open, and today is my payday. They have such a variety of different kinds and flavors. My grandkids favorite is the trash can, a frozen treasure chest of delights that they can keep the 5 inch tall trash can after they are done. The line was 4 abreast, and 12 — 15 deep depending upon which line you were in, and we were served pretty quickly as usual(about 10 mins total). Extra napkins on the side of the stand, and picnic tables to the left. Simply my favorite.

I really love this place. While there may be long lines and they may have slightly smaller portions, it’s undoubtedly a neighborhood favorite, and there’s such a small town, small community feel to Sno Top. Their black raspberry-vanilla twist soft serve is out of this world(I add a chocolate dip too!).

I can’t believe nobody have Unilocal’d Sno-Top yet. This ice cream stand has been a fixture in Manlius for many, many years. I am not a fan of soft ice cream but theirs is pretty darn good. I recommend the Carmel Apply flurry — very yummy! Even on cool fall nights there is quite a line but it’s well worth the wait.
