Maverick 4 Theatre

Used to be a good place to watch movies after they had been out for a bit. With the new guy running things, though, there aren’t as many of those. He would rather play movies that are 10 – 20 years old, or try to get a «first run» film. When he asked for feedback on facebook, and was disagreed with, he became rude and belligerent, and deleted any conversation that disagreed with him. I am sad to say that I will not be frequenting this theater anymore. I used to wait for the film to get there, so I could safe a few bucks. But after an afternoon of conversation with the owner on Facebook, I refuse to spend any more money with this man. He made it very clear that the only opinion that mattered was his, and anyone who thought otherwise was incontrovertibly wrong.

If you’re not in a rush to see new releases, Maverick 4 is a great venue to just relax and have good inexpensive night out. Good views with short theater but the seats are a little rough. Ticket prices can’t be beat for $ 3.

I usually come here to see movies that I kind of, sort of, thought about seeing, but didn’t get around to it when it first came out. For a mere $ 3, I can watch movies that were at regular theaters 3 – 4 months ago and are about a month away from DVD.
You can get popcorn and a soda for about $ 5 total. They also have a date special for $ 12. You get 2 sodas, 2 popcorns, 2 candies, and 2 free tickets for next time.
